The A-Wing set is not yet there. 6207 was the better set I think. The tip of the ship is off, as the original didn't have such a big gap. I see it's difficult to have this perfected in this scale, but then stick to previous solutions and just don't have a gap. Also the amount of stickers hurt, especially on the canopy. The pilot also doesn't look that good to me. Nothing to write home about, in total. Though - I have to admit that the cockpit interior looks pretty nice, TLC did their homework on those!

The Rancor set means a 70€ Rancor to me. The cave nor the figs are anyhow interesting. I'll see if they get my money.

The EP II BP (strange square boxes for the BPs, btw.) means getting one regular clone for 16€. I'd better stick to my CW clones, then. Even if they look a little worse.

The CW sets are nice, but the AT-RT might be supposed to be in size for the old technic figs. Can't explain this monstrous size. Crawler thingy is sweet, as it looks like from an Anime, not from SW. This is all for CW fans and I guess many like them.

I haven't noticed it earlier but now that you've pointed it out and after taking a closer look at the TOR BP, I'm kinda disappointed that the Republic Troopers in the BP are those orange Republic Fleet variants and not the red-armored Havoc Squad Republic Troopers we've seen in the Hope Trailer along with Jace Malcolm. I haven't played the game, so I don't know which of the two Republic Trooper variants is more 'prominent' - but I would've really preferred these troopers whose helmet is perfect for the previously released Jace Malcolm minifig:

Thanks for the shout-out, but I agree that the orange gentlemen are a better pick for a battle pack.

Hmmm... I might get a bunch of TOR battle packs and Bricklink some figures, but that's as far as it goes. I hope the "124 pieces" label on the clone BP doesn't portend another price increase. (It's gone from 10 to 11 to 12 to 13 dollars here in the States.)

Never mind that. I'm spending a Bantha's weight in dollar bills on TOR battle packs. I don't play TOR, but unless the battle packs creep over $15, they'll be great for wargaming with two evenly-matched trooper armies.

Has anyone else noticed that the TIE Pilot in the Asteriod Field Planet Set is actually new. The Printing on his chest is new and it appears lego has also added a grey line on top of the TIE Pilots helmet. Sadly this doesn't change my opinion about the set.

Meh. I'm really not impressed with the minifig line up for the planet sets. I'd much prefer getting actual characters instead while leaving the generic troops to the battle packs and advent calenders.

Umbaran Mobile Heavy cannon: Lego captured the vehicle pretty spot on, anthough they missed the mark on the Umbarans. Aren't their helmets supposed to be almost all glass?

I would've wanted too for the Umbarans to get a proper helmet, though TLG might have thought these minor characters didn't deserve a new helmet mold and hence they had to resort using the Space/ADU helmet, which is the closest-looking avavailable helmet to the Umbaran helmets.

I'll Bricklink commander Cody and Ahsoka though. Not worth army building an Umbaran tank, IMO.

The clone trooper in the MHC set is simply a generic 212th Clone Trooper (look closely at the text of the minifig line-up in the boxart). Besides, Commander Cody has a different Phase 2 helmet print than the one in the set, and has always had his signature visor.

Actually it surprises me that TLG didn't make a CW set from the Water War episodes of Season 4. Not that we didn't get enough CW sets already, but I'm just really suprised.

I would have thought to see a "MS Devilfish sub", this would have been a better choice to put ahsoka in to.

I think I will skip the old republic sets, but a can't resist the Rancor! The battle packs are looking good.

Again many new LSW minifigs and it is only the first part of 2013!

Those Old Republic sets took me back into star warsagain, actually really looking forward to the tor BP  (those republic troops look great!)

That AT-RT looks great (even it is a bitt large compaired to the minifigs). right away on my shopping list (maybe gone buy two of them, if the price is ok).

The Umbaran MHC look relatively small compared to the figs, but doesn't matter, I like the look of it and TLG did a great job sticking with the tv version. I actually like those Umbarans even with those helmets

Those planet sets look better then the other series before, coruscant is bitt of a downer and that asteroid field ... :look::thumbdown:

Gonna buy them anyway tho, except the asteroid field

Hopefully my wallet can handle these Star Wars sets and all of the Hobbit sets

The droideka in AT-RT is sniper version.

Ahh, never heard of them xD

I'll probably get Hoth, but it could be more detailed. Also, Endor being all blue is a no no :(

They are in the 11th Episode of Season 4, I think its called "Kidnapped".

Ahsoka and Skyguy get pinned down by 2 sniper droideka's on the planet of Kiros.

Endor is blue because it is the real Endor which is a large blue gas giant, the green one we all know and love is the forest moon of Endor, so one of the gas giants moons. And that's why it is blue. so it's not a repeat at all which makes it my fav planet set yet.

Im with you Kiel, and especially that snowspeeder pilot... Im not usually one for planet sets... but those 2 minifigs are absolutely stunning!

I see 2013 being rather an expensive year for me :(

I can never get enough of those planets. Endor looks great, along with Hoth, too! And the leg printing on those figures... but I need to complete series 2 before I get caught up in series 4.

So on the first page of this thread, it states that most of these sets are coming out in winter 2013. I thought they'd be released much earlier than that. Is that date pretty much set?

I would consider January to be part of winter (it sure is where I live!). In the middle of the U.S., the new sets come out anywhere from late December to mid-February, although larger cities on the coasts and some parts of Europe get the new sets somewhat earlier.

I completely agree. I am not very happy about any of the 2013 sets, save for the Rancor pit.

Well, the Hoth Planet Set is a total disappointment to me. Although Hoth, the Snowspeeder and the printing on the legs of the Snowspeeder Pilot are nice, its really sad that its the same head and helmet used on the Yavin 4 Pilot. I mean lego really couldn't just make a new face print for the pilot and called him Dak? On the other hand, the Endor Planet set is actually really nice, I like how the B-wing and the Planet itself turned out, but I don't like the Helmet on the B-wing Pilot that much, I thought lego would have atleast used the one in the A-wing, I'll still probally end up buying this one though.

By the way, are these the correct prices in the US dollar for the 2013 set...

Battle Packs-12.99$

AT-RT-19.99$

A-wing Starfighter-24.99$

Z-95 Headhunter-49.99$

Rancor Pit-59.99$

Republic BARC Speeder-29.99$

Umbaran MHC-49.99$

Planet Sets-9.99$

Thank you for the official prices :classic: As for the two new official planet sets that NRG revealed, why didn't TLG give the new Umbarans those neon green visors like the B-wing pilot? That was one of the most predominant feature that I remember.
