I think he meant that a new barge would be comparatively bigger given the size of the recent skiff.

That's exactly what I meant. Current Desert Skiff is 9" long. Old Jabba's Sail Barge is 18" long. (Old Skiff was 8" and looked grossly out of proportion).

So new Sail Barge should be at least 20" if the same proportion is maintained, but ideally at least 22" long.

I was hoping for an Arena and a Slave 1/Kamino set, as my minimum ideals for AOTC, but these could turn out fine too. Come to think of it, Petranaki Arena would make an awesome Exclusive set... (as in a D2C set, from the store itself).

Anyway, my thoughts!

75015 Corporate Alliance Droid

I agree, it sounds like Kashyyyk, which is good I think. Some droids, Wookies and clones would be a nice summary of Kashyyyk (which is a pretty neglected battle).

75016 Homing Spider Droid

Not much I can really say, I guess it would be a good way for some random clones and geonosians/battle droids. Possibly even a jedi included?

75017 Duel on Geonosis

Should be great, an updated Yoda and Dooku at the same time! Possibly even Anakin or Obi-wan too... I think that, given the selection of sets, perhaps LEGO is trying to do a similar thing as they have done with the recent Jabba-related sets, as in make the collectible by not doubling up on figures. What I mean is that you can create a wholistic Jabba set-up by getting all the sets, which is something they could do here, for Geonosis: throw in one Kenobi here, have Anakin and Padme in one of the other sets (AT-TE?) and Mace Windu and Jango in the Gunship set.

This is all in the absence of an Arena set of course, which would fill the void and give us most of the important elements of Geonosis all at once, minus the vehicles being sold here already.

75019 AT-TE

Most of these vehicles aren't particularly attractive for me, as I said, I wanted (and still hope for) the Arena as a set. It will be nice to see a new design and get an update on the clones though, so I may even get it (not having an AT-TE).

75020 Jabba's Sailbarge

I have the old one, and it is one of my favourite sets, so I welcome this one. It would complete the Jabba collection LEGO has been doing. That is why I think there will be reasonably different minifigures. Out of the Palace, Skiff and Rancor Pit, the only double-up fig is Luke, who is sort of necessary in the Rancor Pit, and he is different anyway. Thus I would think this Barge would complete the collection by giving us figs we don't have yet. Here are my ideas:

Jabba

Slave Leia

R2-D2

C-3PO

Max Rebo, assuming this blue figure is true (and he is a popular character)

A weequay guard or someone similar. Maybe even Ree Yees, as suggested.

I think those are reasonable - It will definitely not have a skiff ir Sarlaac, I don't think they need a Luke, and this would give us the figures needd to complete (mostly, in my opinion at least) the Jabba ensemble the other recent sets have been following.

75021 Republic Gunship

Will be good, I think. I reckon that it could legitametely contain Mace and Jango (I know he dies before the gunships arrive, but LEGO sets work as an overall look at a scene, not a specific moment in time). Most likely Yoda too.

75022 Mandalorian Speeder

Nothing special for me, but I am thankful there are fewer CW sets this wave (compared to the CW-heavy winter wave). I don't dislike CW sets, I just don't think it right that there should be more in a wave than triology sets.

I look forward to these then! Hopefully even more AOTC in the future, especially with LEGO and this collection startegy they've been following (which, at least, has been more apparent in the past year).

Cool!!! Hop you can share some pictures or reviews of the builds soon!

Important question is, however: where is your local toy store?

Its called "Fun", they have shops everywhere in belgium, but dont know if you are from belgium so... :p

I qiuckly build one of the small AOTC sets as i didn't have a lot of time.

First shot, the clone troopers: http://s1062.beta.photobucket.com/user/Cyberfounder/media/DSC_0002.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3

I like the AOTC disign for these clone troopers, to bad one visor is somewhat silvery and the other one is just black.

The face looks a bit funny to.

Second is the droideka: http://s1062.beta.photobucket.com/user/Cyberfounder/media/DSC_0003.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2

I haven't bought a droideka since the Jedi Defence with Obi one and the 2 droideka's so I was happy to get some new droideka's at first, but the disign is really faulty.

My geuss is the tryied to scale it down a little and this is the result.

Third one is from the command center: http://s1062.beta.photobucket.com/user/Cyberfounder/media/DSC_0004.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

I like the disign, though its undersized. To bad they didn't bother to make a new disign for the little computer. The rader peace is a intresting disign, the little bar behind the rader bar is mad with the flickfire piece.

Cool, thanks! No, I'm not from Belgium, but I am from the Netherlands, so that's close enough to hope they will be here soon as well!

Thanks also for the first pictures!

I like the new face for the clone, do you think you could post a few more pics of the droideka from different angles please.

I will try, possibly tomorrow. :)

I'm from Belgium! Which 'Fun' did you go too? :sweet::cry_happy:

Fun Mechelen on the Liersesteenweg. :)

Any speculation on when we'll hear some 2013 UCS announcements?

Good question :classic: , the only UCS I think is and will be the B-wing :sceptic:

I understand how you have come to this conclusion, however I'm not so sure, and think I disagree, judging from what the guy that this source info originally come from: The construction seemed narrower, less round...

I can't imagine it would be narrower and longer... and somehow manage to contain 300 more bricks, unless they played their usual tricks of using two 2x1 plates where a 2x2 plate would easily do.

Also, just look at the proportion of the new AT-RT... using proportions as a means of guessing size of lego playsets is imo, a waste of time.

Sounds like those expected Clones sets are finally coming out. Can't say I'm excited about those, but the Sail Barge interests me. I haven't bought the Palace yet, so maybe I'll wait to see what the Barge looks like first.

First post has been updated. I've assumed that the sets that could be from Clones are from Clones and that the Stealth Starfighter is EU. (I didn't list the tank droid's subtheme; it could be the first of a Sith wave considering that movie's 3D release date soon after Clones, or it could be CW - I think it's the former, but I can't be sure)

Fun Mechelen on the Liersesteenweg. :)

I forgot to ask, and if you don't mind saying, what where the prices off those sets?

This Christmas is going to be a lot harder of what to get. Many things to buy or want to buy. Now with the first half of the Lego Star Wars 2013 sets being released around about now is all I need to make things difficult than they already were.

It says December 2012 for the first wave of 2013, but when do they release in the U.K if anyone that knows

Thanks

Interesting list, most excited for the new RGS and AT-TE. I can see Jango making his way into one of these sets somehow. Hopefully with Mace in the RGS.

75015 Corporate Alliance Droid- Obviously going to be different from the last version. I suspect this is a ROTS set, and these tanks appeared on Kashyyyk, so... here's to hoping we might get Commander Gree Phase II, Kashyyyk Troopers and new Wookiee Warriors to oppose whatever Droids come in the tank! Definitely planning to pick this up!

Ditto on this one, That would be a pretty good set I would love to get.
