Fuppylodders Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I can understand Lego not including them as jmagaletta explained, however I am not too sure about all the negativity or frustration about the lack of holes, due to the fact that there is a very simple solution. Just get a pin vice drill and hand drill them. If anyone is unsure of doing this themselves, get someone either adult, or experienced to do it. Sure, to have included a hole in the first place is something TLG shoulda done, but if TLG are now insistent on no longer including those accessories, well, this is a very simple fix for it which will allow them to be used again.
Fives Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Wow, those Rex and Obi-Wan figs are outstanding! Just give that Obi-Wan the head and hair from the Jedi Interceptor set and you've got the best damn ROTS Obi-Wan yet! And Rex just looks fantastic! Along with Krell, these three are the best figs of the wave! Can't wait to see what the summer brings!
Pumpkin Pie Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Wow! those rex and Obi-wan figs are awesome. It is a shame though that Rex does not have holes for his...(range finder is it?) because I don't like modifying my minifigs. Oh well .
DeltaRecon226 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I'm really liking the figures because I think that the level of detail is the perfect balance between previous Lego figures and decals. Still, I hope that maybe Lego makes accessories compatible with the helmets knobs. I know that I'll certainly be drilling a hole in my Rex.
Super Brick Collector Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Thanks for the pics Gubi0222, those figs look amazing.
clonefactory Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Minifigmaker did a comparison of the new helmets with visors. Due to the design of the new helmets standard attachments won't fit. It is more than just drilling holes.
jmagaletta Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Minifigmaker did a comparison of the new helmets with visors. Due to the design of the new helmets standard attachments won't fit. It is more than just drilling holes. Do you have this source? I would like to see it.
Fuppylodders Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Range finders would still fit, and any single sided accessory. As for visors, I'm sure they will start popping up later on in time on some custom Lego accessory making website... if not, well.... bad TLG!
Cyberbricker Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) I suspect TLG will bring out a newer version of the helmet, so i don't plan on buying allot of the Phase II that our out now. Edited December 15, 2012 by Cyberbricker
67mountie67 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Has anyone gotten ahold of the MHC set yet and if so can we see some pics of the set and figs up close?
TWP Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Did any one else notice that on the box of the AT-RT the sniper droideka is surrounded with a deflector shield, though wookieepedia says it was not equiped with one? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sniper_droideka
Piranha Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 The new cloth kama and pauldron look great on Rex. Although, I do miss the accessory holes for range finders and visors.
Brickdoctor Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Remember, discussion of pricing and availability belongs in the topic, "Star Wars Sets, Anyone?", not in this one. I'll move some posts in a minute... ...done.
mishko Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Just got the A-wing today. Nice piece! I really like the look of the pilot:
Pumpkin Pie Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 That's a nice figure. does it have back printing?
North Lego Star Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) What is the probability of Jango being included with the gunship? It would definitely help LEGO sell more since there was one released not too long ago, and Jango was obviously at the Battle of Geonosis so it wouldn't seem to crazy, especially if TLG included Mace in the set as well. Well, I personally believe the chances of seeing Jango in the Gunship a pretty high since there won't be a Slave 1 coming out this year and there a chance Mace Windo will make an apperance in the Summer Wave too. Also Concerning minifigs, I'm pretty sure we'll end up seeing a new printing on Grevious similar to the one seen in the Yoda Chronicles preview in a Utapau set in 2014, but I highly doubt that lego would actually make a new model for him as the current one is excellent. By the Way, have any of the winter sets been confirmed as limited edtion sets yet? Also for those you have the 2013 sets in your country, was the Battle of Hoth there too? Legoroni Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Not sure if this has been posted, I haven't been following Star Wars for a long time now. Jabba's Palace on top of the rancor pit. http://blogfiles.naver.net/20121213_265/legoblog_1355361229419jKbSJ_JPEG/17.jpg EDIT: Maybe not this exact picture, but this has been shown before. Never mind. Edited December 16, 2012 by Legoroni
HawkLord Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 That's a nice figure. does it have back printing? If you check the second page of this Star Wars section, you'll find a review of the A-Wing set that indicates, the pilot does have back printing.
67mountie67 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 All three of these planet sets look amazing really detailed printing can't wait to pick them up and add them to my collection. I'm really liking the way they did the asteriod field printing
DarthPotato Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 For some reason Coruscant looks better in that picture than it did before. I don't know why, maybe it's because the orange spots stand out more? It definitely makes me want to get it more, especially because it comes with one of those clones!
mishko Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) That's a nice figure. does it have back printing? As mentioned Before, it does. Edited December 16, 2012 by mishko
GandalfofHoth Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Even after seeing the planet pic's, I still don't think I'll get the Asteroid set, but the Coruscant set looks lovely.
The_Chosen_1 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I agree, the Asteroid Belt just seems off. Coruscant does look fantastic though!
