Sid Sidious Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 The amount of licensed sets I like enough to actually want to buy can be counted on one hand. This Spiderman set can add itself to the hand now. Quote
Omicron Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 has anyone noticed that batman's torso is grey? It was always light grey. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fbtbnet/7562914880/in/photostream -Omi Quote
coolguy2323 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 So the Bat/Tumbler set and the Aquaman set are both going to be buys for me! Lego is stealing my money!!! :) Quote
TheBatstan Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 So the Bat/Tumbler set and the Aquaman set are both going to be buys for me! Lego is stealing my money!!! :) same sets for me too. i cant wait! Quote
Faefrost Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Aquaman breaking out of the ice looks fantastic. Has that effect been done before in a Lego set? Yep. It's from the old Alpha Team arctic mission theme. I think one of the old Batman sets also used it with Mr Freeze. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 It was always light grey. http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream -Omi Somehow I missed that when I first observe the figures. I think the CC picture really stands out, but somehow I didn't notice it was that gray. And the Batman only shot looks more white/light gray than it actually is, but still gray nonetheless. Thanks for the links. I don't know why I acted surprised too. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I think the big buys for me are going to be all three of them. I need the Dark Knight set largely because I worked on the film, and the Aquaman set looks great. Finally, while I am not enthralled with the flying car, Nick Fury in LEGO form is too good to pass up. Quote
Oky Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yep. It's from the old Alpha Team arctic mission theme. I think one of the old Batman sets also used it with Mr Freeze. It had the same mold, but not the same play feature. By the way, am I the only one who's a bit disappointed that these aren't marbled like the previous versions? I always liked the frosty look they had.Mr. Freeze's gun does look a bit better from this angle, but I still dislike the lance-like shape. And I too am disappointed that we didn't get white batarangs. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 And I too am disappointed that we didn't get white batarangs. Yeah me especially, to me fine detail matters and it looks weird that a white (or grey) Batman is holding a black Batarang. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Also if you look here http://www.flickr.com/photos/jackattack7s_pstream/8077741648/in/photostream You can see there is a piece on the tumbler that seperates the window slightly. Quote
Brickmamba Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Wow some good sets here, Aquaman is a must buy, comes with probably the best figures out of the lot, Tumbler because I still need this vehicle despite the mediocre design and Bane is a must have other than that there are A LOT of figures to be collected in this release, can't wait Quote
Santaduckz Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I'm really hoping that this wave marks the end of the direct remakes of old sets. I know Arkham is a remake, but it is so different, and it's creation was inevitable. But of the other two new sets are so welcome in my book. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 It had the same mold, but not the same play feature. By the way, am I the only one who's a bit disappointed that these aren't marbled like the previous versions? I always liked the frosty look they had. True, but it should also be noted that this is in a new color entirely-- Transparent Light Blue rather than Transparent Fluorescent Blue (Trans-Medium Blue). Diversity is always nice. Quote
Ceroknight Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Nevermind, Fury's car looks awesome! Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 The Aquaman set is definitely a must-buy! The Spiderman is ok, I'll buy it just for Nick Fury and Venom. Quote
gundamz Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I plan to buy (in this order): The Bat/Tumbler Some turtle set Spidey! (the one with the flying car) Quote
Delta 38 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Ooh, the Batboat is quite good, as is Nick Fury's car thing. Batman did seem to have a lighter shade of grey in the single minifigure pictures though. I can't see any evidence of it anywhere, but I'm hoping Mr. Freeze has an alternate face with his goggles. Quote
Legoboy1999 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I am definitely getting the batman vs. bane set! ...but i dont understand why batman has a white suit instead of a black one in the Mr. Freeze set? :S Quote
CF Mitch Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Because it serves as a camouflage in the snow Are these new batman-masks compatible with the old batman-heads? 'cause I really don't like that smile on Batman's face and want to replace that head with one of the older heads I have. Regards, Mitch Quote
has a differing opinion Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 It was always light grey. http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream -Omi I meant greyer than the prelims. I always remember it being white. Quote
MaceWindu Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Sorry, if there was such a question. What can say about it? Why this picture is situated here? Quote
Santaduckz Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 (edited) Sorry, if there was such a question. What can say about it? Why this picture is situated here? Nobody is sure. Most of us think it will be some kind of DLC for the game - hopefully TDKR characters :D Edited October 20, 2012 by Santaduckz Quote
BrickG Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 I highly doubt they'd bother with DLC for a game so old. That's a picture for Lego Batman 1. Lego Batman 2 is out. ... I don't know. :P Quote
Drock Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 It probably is for LEGO Batman 2. This may just be a preliminary thing which will be fixed later Quote
Piranha Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 After seeing the new Spiderman set pics, I am really liking that set, the car is nicely constructed and it comes with 3 great figures. Quote
