January 25, 201312 yr I'm an older comic fan (50s-80s are my favorites, the industry got a little...serious for me after that), so I don't really see the appeal of Iron Patriot. I think I mentioned when I first saw him, I thought it was a joke, like Spider-Ham. Teen Titans, though? Yeah, I'd be all over that! Hmmm, maybe a MOC of the TT tower is in order... The Dark Avengers Norman Osborn Iron Patriot was one of the cooler modern stories, and part of it was to look just a hair cheesy. I can't quite fathom why they are using the look in IM3? And suspect that it will lack the impact.
January 25, 201312 yr Haha... too late TLG you've already spoiled the film! Zack says "eff you very much!". Funny thing is with Lego' attempt to not Spoil anything, they've spoiled things that we didn't even know about IM3 and MoS and we now know lots of things about the films we weren't supposed to know about. Like the green guy we arn't supposed to know the name of and Tor-An. The Dark Avengers Norman Osborn Iron Patriot was one of the cooler modern stories, and part of it was to look just a hair cheesy. I can't quite fathom why they are using the look in IM3? And suspect that it will lack the impact. I don't know, they probably wanted to use Patriot as a villian and something happened so they couldn't. They probably wanted to have Patriot still in the movie and decided to make it Rhodey's new suit. I'm sure people will like it, fans are open to it being Rhodey's suit, instead of the Iron Patriot from the comics. I'm sure they'll use the suit to create tension between Rhodey and Tony.
January 25, 201312 yr On my phone, can't find the games topic, so I apologize, but here's the Batman game! http://www.flickr.com/photos/91708573@N07/8412011631/
January 25, 201312 yr Author Let's be careful not to get too much into movie details here. Not only do some of us want to be surprised about the films and are intentionally not seeking out such info, but it's off topic. We're talking about the sets here. The fig is awesome, good to have Supes alter ego, though my only complaint is the open shirt revealing the Superman suit. I mean it looks cool, but limited. They were probably going to include him in a ''Man of Steel'' set , but didn't so they decided to put a comic version in this. I'm quite happy with it. We have dozens of regular suits, I like the action-ness of this one. It's great that they made a new head print for him as well. They might have really cheaped out and I'm so glad they didn't. I hope the movie isn't too expensive. And I hope it's something my kids will enjoy watching with me.

I do admit it's cool, love that he has glass in his fake glasses( most fig with glasses just have the frames right) to make it look like like it's thick fake glasses. i can just put Jameson's suit on him. It's $25, good price. Edited January 25, 201312 yr by daniel gourhan22
January 25, 201312 yr Could this be the so called "heartbreaker suit" deep space suit. Edited January 25, 201312 yr by deskp
January 25, 201312 yr Author I certainly hope not. I don't see how "heartbreaker" and "deep space" mean anywhere close to the same thing.
January 25, 201312 yr Could this be the so called "heartbreaker suit" deep space suit. Could be, or it was made out of Stark's near death experience in space. The are 35(if my math's right,42- the original 7) suits he makes so it could be one of them. I wonder which suit is in the Extremis set. I certainly hope not. I don't see how "heartbreaker" and "deep space" mean anywhere close to the same thing. Heartbreaker could be a misleader, the suit int the set is being called "unique and exclusive". January 25, 201312 yr Maybe that is the Heartbreaker suit cause it will break the hearts of many fans who thought it would be the Rescue suit..
January 25, 201312 yr Oh, my God!! That Clark/Supes-fig is epic I really really hope it comes with ALL dvd's not just a select few you have buy in certain stores.. Regards, Mitch
January 25, 201312 yr Am I the only one who thinks that Clark fig is completely useless? The torso, while looking good, is only usable for one specific scenario, and since he's a minifig, you can't even pose his arms so that it looks like he is ripping his shirt open. At least you can use the head to make a regular Clark I guess, but I don't think many people were clamoring for a Clark Kent minifig to begin with. This would have been an excellent opportunity to give us another JL member, but we are denied a Flash, GL, Cyborg, or Martian Manhunter once again. Also: Why can't THAT be Batman's alternate face?!? It looks so much cooler than the awkward grin that he has on the real minifig! With that said, I will probably end up buying it for completeness sake anyway.
January 25, 201312 yr I'm just glad we finally have a normal flesh head with glasses besides Harry Potter. What about http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb122 That appears in Light Flesh (although only in a single Spiderman set)
January 25, 201312 yr This would have been an excellent opportunity to give us another JL member, but we are denied a Flash, GL, Cyborg, or Martian Manhunter once again. They wouldn't and shouldnt make those as exclusives, theres a potential to get those in the future sets. But I would have prefered a new villain or hero we would never have gotten otherwise instead of a variation on superman.

I think it looks good but would prefer a clark just in the suit as that has more use really. But eh! In regards to the lego batman movie i believe it is based on the game but completely reanimated so not reusing game footage! I took a screenshot from the trailer and from the cutscene of lego batman 2 and the style and animation is completely different take a look: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ I'll buy it as the animation looks greatly improved for the film and i'm a sucker for exclusive minifigures. January 25, 201312 yr Clark Kent figure is pretty good. Still on the fence about it. I like the fig, but I don't like it like it. Not enough to buy the movie unless I find a really good deal., thanks darth lurtz As for the Batman game - hard to see much with that small of a picture but it looks alright. The little microvehicles look fun. And who doesn't love a microfig. thanks just2good

It is indeed reanimated (They really couldn't even use most of the stuff from the game as most of the cut scenes are rendered in game). In fact I've noticed that Arkham has green windows in the movie rather than the red of the game. As well as the trailer showed several shots that aren't in the game at all (Fighting with the penguin for instance). It's based on the game for sure but it doesn't use any of the footage from the game. Here's a gallery for comparison between the game and the trailer: http://www.flickr.com/photos/61809702@N07/sets/72157632604756377/ Edited January 25, 201312 yr by strangely

January 25, 201312 yr Sorry Kez, Just2Good beat you to it. Ah it's ok I guess I was skimming the thread too quick
January 25, 201312 yr I wonder if the Clark fig comes with the regular DVD or just the combo pack,I'd guess just the combo.

January 25, 201312 yr http://allaboutbricks.blogspot.ca/2013/01/all-about-bricks-at-uk-toy-fair-2013.html#more This blog seems to be our first info on the actual sets. A speed boat, control room (mansion?), helicopter and a car for Iron Man 3. A pod, a car and a spaceship for Man of Steel.

A pod, a car and a spaceship for Man of Steel. control room is probably Tony's workshop, hopefully the top floor of the mansion is included. For the Smallville set, i hope more than a car is included, i though Jackattacks friend said a farm type thing was included? A pod for for the Metropolis set is a odd.
January 25, 201312 yr They would never do that. All of the exclusive figures we've ever gotten have been just a variation on an existing character using existing molds. Lego wouldn't waste an entirely new character for this. What about Elrond? I know we're getting him in a set this year, but for now he's an exclusive character. And they wouldn't need any new molds for characters like GL or MM. But maybe you're right that they're saving the new characters for sets. I'm just bummed that the only new DC super hero and villain that we're getting this year are Aquaman and Zod.
