Dorayaki Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Hhmm... I'm confused with that with many minifigs including generic ones, we don't see some regulars such as Mary Jane or Green Goblin this time. Quote

purpleparadox Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Well Green Goblin hasn't appeared in the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon (yet), so I doubt he'll appear for a while. Is it Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy that is Spiderman's love interest on the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon? I'm hoping Gwen. I want a minifig of her! Quote

______ Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm hoping with Iron Man 3 we'll get a mustard coloured suit, war-machine suit and patriotic war-machine suit. I'm guessing images for the May wave will be in January? Quote

Pulp Detective Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 l would love a Green Goblin fig!!!Still l'm exited about venom, and l expect we'll get the new "mustard" iron man armor and the iron patriot character too.I suppose the Iron man 3 sets will be coming out this spring since the movie is getting release this may. Angeli Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Storm is the girl I am looking forward to, especially if it is a Halle Berry version (darker face, white eyes) I would also love that sparkly girl, made out of diamons (that looks so hot in a last movie:) Quote
Oky Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Not sure if this has been posted yet, but FBTB put up some images of the concept art for Guardians of the Galaxy and Iron Man's new armor. Gives you an idea of what the minifigs would look like. As far as I can tell, they would only need new molds for Groot and Rocket Raccoon's head (and possibly tail). lightningtiger Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I can't wait for the weapons as well as Groot and Rocket Raccoon....cute but deadly ! I wonder how long Lego has the license to produce Marvel/Disney sets for ? Quote
Oky Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I can't wait for the weapons as well as Groot and Rocket Raccoon....cute but deadly ! I wonder how long Lego has the license to produce Marvel/Disney sets for ? I don't think there will be new weapons. Star Lord's guns could easily be replaced by the new sci-fi guns from AQ (much like they did for Deadpool) and Rocket Raccoon's weapon could be replaced by the kind that the old Mr. Freeze had. Seems like the kind of thing TLG would do, anyway. As for the license, the movie comes out in 2014, and the Marvel/DC license was said to be a multi-year deal. Unless by "multi" they only meant two years (which I think is very unlikely, considering the success of this theme) there should be nothing standing in the way of GotG sets. Quote

Lego does not have the license for the X Men movies. Just the comics and animated shows. So any X Men we get will be traditional comic versions. This film is going to be... Interesting. I can't wait to see LEGO make a Rocket Raccoon and Thanos. I am fearful Thanos at least will be one of those larger figs like the Helicarrier set Hulk. Quote
Sam892 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 It would be a beautiful send off for TDKR Lego if they treated us to alot more than we usually get. For example if Lego tried to add as many main characters into the set like Batman, Bane, Gordan, Lucious Fox, Catwomen, Alfred and Blake. I know it's unlikely but I wouldn't put it past Lego. Just look at the amount of figures we got in the final Hogwarts castle. Quote

It looks like Batman, Hooded/Red Robin, civilian Harley Q, Joker in prison suit, Scarecrow, Penguin, and maybe a guard? Quote

MyHobby Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Scarecrow has a noose around his neck, now that's cool. I'm hoping to get the DKR set, eventually, but the Doom set is a must have. And the Venom set. And anything else I can get my grubby little nerd fingers on. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Would NYCC have anything different to what SDCC had? Speaking of which when is NYCC supposed to start? Quote
Deathleech Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Just want to point out, if the vehicles and buildings were the main selling point of the Super Heroes themed sets, why are we ONLY getting pictures of the minifigures!? Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Because that's what they gave us It's not like nobody here doesn't want to see the sets, in fact a lot of the discussion is about what the sets are going to be and what we can expect out of TLG. And as for NYCC i think that they will definitely show more stuff. They should definitely have more Hobbit stuff by then, but I also think they will show some Superhero stuff. Superheroes have a better connection to New York then they do to San Diego Quote

In addition to what sologuy said in response, it's also that LEGO just wants to give a juicy tease. They did the same with the Prince of Persia minifigures and animals as well. They know quite rightly that minifigures spark people's interest, but LEGO sets are a whole package, not just a pile of bricks thrown in to sell the minifigures. Quote
