I've been seeing a lot of problems with missing pieces in sets this year, and now for the first time ever in my LEGO life I had a piece missing from the Daily Bugle set :sceptic: At least LEGO customer service is really great!

The only problem I've had with a set was also a Spiderman set. Although it was 4852 The Final Showdown. One of the pieces to the tram was half-melted  and of course I was younger and dumber back then so I didn't contact LEGO themselves. I just returned it but rebuliding is always fun :sweet:

If the new SHIELD series does well enough we might see Lego sets based off it.

Coulson, whoever the new characters are, other heroes. Blablabla... might be neat. 2015 :P.

Just a quick question, has anyone seen any of the 2013 superhero sets in Australia

From what I've heard the Superheros sets won't be out until sometime in February down here in Aus.

Having just built my 7784, The Batmobile: Ultimate Collectors' Edition. I really want another version of the Batmobile, or a Batwing!!

Either of these would work, not the exact models, but, something shaped like a bat would be nice. I like the first model from Batman Forever. But, the second from Batman 89 has an iconic shape to it.

There's a lot of rumours about the S.H.E.I.L.D series right now. It's expected to air a pilot in September. One of the biggest rumours is that Matt Murdock will start appearing as a lawyer and slowly Daredevil will appear. So if that's true LEGO will have to make sets! Just so we can get DD.

DD is the one character I want most from the whole Marvel universe...In fact, I want one in red, one in yellow/black and a Matt Murdock.

I would love that too (prefer the one from Batman89, though  ) ! If I were any good at MOCing, I would have tried. I'm not sure how well the UCE Batmobile did back in the day, though.

Wondering where you've heard that, since nothing about Daredevil being in the show's come out, rumours or otherwise, as far as I know.

Yeah I agree with that statment. There's not too many successful superhero shows where the main cast is B to D list characters. From first glance, I don't see Beware the Batman doing well--mostly because people expect to see his classic villain roster, and not a bunch of mostly unknown characters. Regardless, getting new figures out of it would be good--though there's nothing that shows we'll get figures based on the show anyways.

Weren´t Batman Brave and Bold and the 90s Avengers the only shows with nearly exclusively B-List characters? Batman did well at least.

I hope The Mandarin gets all ten of his rings. Would be pretty lame if he didn't get them. I bet they'll still include them for fans.

How exactly could this be possible? Throw ten LOTR rings in grey in the sets? Would be nice for the SNOT MOCers but it´s not really the kind of useful accessory like a gun or a sword. I don´t think the rings will be any important in the movie anyway. They come of more like a symbol and Mandarin doesn´t seem magical in this version.

Weird? I understand using an animated show to highlight some new characters and properties. But I just don't see why do it in this case? WB owns this stuff outright. There are no dueling licenses. As Bruce Timm proved in the 90's, you can have it both ways. Build the show on the foundation everyone expects, and still give some new characters room to shine. (Harley Quinn anyone).

From a Lego perspective this saddens me because its probably the only chance we have of seeing a Rhas Al Gul minifig. And that just ain't right.

They don´t want to do the "Joker stories" or any stories with other known villains because those tend to be the same. So instead of hiring better writers they just change the line-up to people no one knows. This is just the way Batman shows go. The 90s series was so good no one wants to differentiate themselves from this show so no one can tell them "You are just like 90s Batman, just crappier!". "The Batman" changed the known villains into more badass and sillier shadows of themselves, Brave and the Bold is basically Adam West with a budget and now they want to do it like in the 40s. With villains from the 90s. We just have to wait and see how that turns out. Also, i don´t think the big names can be kept out forever. Ra´s Al Guhl for example isn´t as low key thanks to Arkham games and Nolan. Even if they won´t make this show, sooner or later Ra´s would have to turn up in the DC line. They can´t just remake the same dozen or so villains with different Bat-sometings until the end of time.

The Shield show is the first in line for fall consideration, it´s safe to say it will air soon.

There still is the question which side the show wants to take on the scale of light versus dark. Whedon isn´t exactly known for being happy with his life if he can´t kill at least one person each season. I think at best it turns out like Nolan-Man: LEGO waits until they can´t deny the popularity of the movie/show with children and then do one set or two based on it, years after the premiere.

Exactly, throw ten different colored rings in the set. They'll be important in the movie and who says they won't be magical in the movie? they might be sciencey or get powers due to Extremis. Multi colored rings would be perfect to make Green Lantern rings from. The rings are iconic to the character and I hope they are included by Lego for fans of the comics.

The only confirmed marvel shows so far are the new Avengers Assemble cartoon which is being heavily invested in and Hulk :Agents of Smash. There have been far more rumors of the new X-Men animated show than a SHIELD one.

Bendis is having more to do with the second series of Spiderman so expect the storylines to perhaps be a bit more tweaked to appeal to a wider demographic, but just remember it is a kids cartoon and a very good one.

We could potentially see a fair more sets from this line when it restarts (this Saturday I think) after all as has been pointed out, we need a Power man, Green Goblin, White Tiger and it is our best chance to get a Coulson.

The Avengers assemble cartoon doesn't premiere until later in the year but that could mean we get some interesting sets in a winter wave. Be good to have Falcon. Thanos is going to be the chief antagonist I think.

The SHIELD TV has been confirmed. It's live action, premieres on ABC, and has Coulson in it.

I'd like to see DD in Shield for a bit but I like the idea of keeping the focus on the non-superpowered people. maybe spin of a DD series... I'd rather see a DD series than a movie anyway but does Marvel Studios own the rights to him?

Got him back in October

I'd like a Lego Daredevil, but don't see us getting one any time soon

This year Marvel got the Rights back to Daredevil, Blade and Punisher. 20th century was trying to get a new DD movie in production in order to keep the rights but they failed. It was also reported that 20th was interested in making a punisher TV series however, its not been confirmed whether they were.

Currently the only Characters that Marvel doesn't have the rights to are X-men and Spider-man. However Marvel did say that the Oscorp building from the Amazing Spider-man was meant to appear in The Avengers movie. However they ran out of time in post production and left it out. So there's still hope for Spidey to join the cinematic Universe.

I think the SHEILD TV series will focus a lot on the agents, but may have a lot of story arcs involving an expanded universe. For Years Marvel has been trying to make an Iron Fist movie which at one point had Ray Park interested. In expecting some of the villains to be HYDRA and AIM. I'm also expecting Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as they were meant to be getting a TV series a while back.

^ Forgot about Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider.

I think yesterday a rumor started that Marvel was looking at making a Heroes for Hire movie.

Oops I did forget them. I know Marvel was interested in trying to get the rights to Galactus and Silver surfer back in a swap for Daredevil, but Fox wanted to use them in the FF reboot. It's a shame that Marvel spread the rights over so many companies. The FF would make a great addition to the CU.

Also I can't remember who said it earlier but I don't think we will get any sets based on the new Avengers cartoon. LEGO will most likely want to keep it all CU based for them. Plus Falcon was confirmed to be in Captain America the Winter Solider. So we will most likely get him in next years summer Cap wave. After reading the Winter Solider Graphic Novel, Falcon seems to be Cap's version of Warmachine.

I'd be interested in Seeing the Ghost Rider in minifigure form the most myself. I'm not too fond of the character, but the minifigure would be awesome. Probably his bike too. I'm imagining his skull and a unique new mold for a headpiece which is a tastefully done transparent orange flame "hat" that naturally looks like his head is on fire.

Dang I was hoping we'd see the FF in the CU soon! Damn you Fox!!!

I'm glad to hear that they have Daredevil, Blade and Punisher back. I could easily see Daredevil and Punisher being in the Cinematic Universe.

Now if only Fox will give Marvel FF and X-Men back...

Not sure whether it really makes a difference from a Lego perspective as the Marvel license transcends who has the cinema rights. (The exception to this is that TLG may be prohibited from making sets directly based on scenes from Fox films or vehicles specifically designed for the films).

Lego is much more likely to produce a licensed set if there's a movie (or TV series) it ties in with. It's just good business from their perspective.
