DJ Bricks Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Why? It's a great price, if we get the two main characters (and possibly one more, the Cap set had three minifigs) which means we can easily get the two characters people will want most cheaply. With that price, Iron Patriot War Machien, Mark XLII Iron Man, and The Mandarin. Quote

I think the Cap set had three figs since, two of them were just generic aliens. If it was another main character then I would have thought it would only contain two. Quote
Kez Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 All shall be revealed tomorrow at the toy fair but sadly there will only be pictures of outside the stall like in previous years. Quote

The Cap set was meant to be an army builder, but I would like the piece and price to be wrong and the set to be bigger. Tommorow, we find out. But as I remember, the first day we only get pics of the outside of the stalls(since the don't open till the next day) and Wed is when we get set descriptions. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 True, but i would like the final battle to be big. I hop it's wrong on the piece and price. No one knows how the battle will go. Or even scenes of the movie that aren´t the Mansion getting blown up. When the showdown is maybe a simple battle in a cave with a bunch of special effect lasers and beams then they really can´t include more than the three or four figs that would be present for the scene and a little rock formation or whatever Mandarin would have in his favorite cave. I really don´t hope that they are doing any more big sets if they continue it in the style of the Avengers line and only include things vaguely resembling what was in the movie and cram stuff into it that wasn´t even there in the first place. Sets from licenses are becoming more and more best-ofs of whatever the license is about. Taking aspects of random moments of the show or movie and packing a bunch of them together in a box. It wouldn´t be that bad if they would at least choose the important stuff and not things like the Shield Jeep that was on the screen for a 5 minute chase or repeat themselves with the same character because they want to stick to the scene at such arbitrary points. I really don't mind what we get in sets as long as it looks good, contains great figs and is a great build. So far to me all the Superhero sets fit that bill. In terms of the jeep, I find it really useful. SHEILD vehicles are present in every Marvel franchise. It's fits perfectly with Spidey sets or X-men stuff aswell. The only drawback to it is it only fits one fig. I don't buy to many large sets but it would be nice to get a few in the next few waves. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I hope that the prices stay the same, also I want to know how much black zero escape is. Hopefully not more than £20. Quote
North Lego Star Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) I also hope that the prices stay the same. Lego usually has pretty high prices for sets that are all about the minifigs so I think its nice to see some cheap sets that will contain some great minifigs. Just for the fun of it here are my preditions for the sets... Iron Man vs. Mandarin Ultimate Battle: Iron Man, Mandarian, Rescue-12.99$ Iron Man Extermis Seaport Battle: Iron Man, Firepower, War Machine-19.99$ Iron Man's Malibu Mansion: Iron Man, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Mandarian, Iron Patriot, Attack Helicopter(only like 75 pieces)-39.99$ (I actually think it's more likely to be 49.99$ similar to the Daily Bugle set.) I guess we'll just have to wait until tomarrow! Edited January 21, 2013 by North Lego Star Quote

I wouldn't hope to much on that. I do think that the Black Zero would be 20, sounds like it'll include Zod's ship, Supes, Zod( in a flight suit), and a Zod army member. Quote

I guess we'll just have to wait until tomarrow! I think the Extremis set will have Aldrich Killian. plus you forgot about Eric Savin, who will probably be in the Mansion. Three villians, three sets, one villian exclusive to each. I don't think Jack Taggert will become Firepower, as the director said it won't be another robot on robot movie, and Ashley Hamilton isn't listed with the principal cast, if he was a villian he would be. I think he is just included for fans, like Dr. Ratha in TAS. Plus James Badge Dale(Eric Savin) said, "Ben Kingsley( The Mandarin) is the mouthpiece. Guy Pearce(Aldrich Killian) is the brain. I’m the muscle.", he made no mention of Hamilton, so Firepower isn't a villian. and if the Mandarin set is bigger it would have Iron Patriot. Edited January 21, 2013 by daniel gourhan22 Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 My friend is going tomorrow, and he is going to tell me what the sets look like Fantastic! You should ask him to jot down as many notes as he can; about other licensed themes as well (Star Wars, LotR, etc.). It will be great to find out more details on these IM3 and MoS sets, though. Quote

With triple informantion, we are going to have the best descriptions ever!!! Quote

Yeah OK, I hope some chima will be there to, on topic that would be smart if lego included one exclusive villain in each set. Edited January 22, 2013 by Jackattack7 Quote

Oakenmold Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 (edited) Its the Radioactive man. I know that Wang Xueqi has signed on to play Dr Wu, who turns into Radioactive man in the comics. I think its a secret from Marvel that there is an extra villian in the film. He is bright green in the comics. OR could be Firepower, who is also confirmed to be in the film. EDIT: muddle up, he thinks the green guy is Eric Savin and the other in the extremis set is Aldrich Killain. did he say anytning else about 76008, like if Iron Patriot is included, or if it is bigger than the price and piece we got? What did the guy in the Exremis set look like. I'm guessing the green guy is Eric Savin injected with something( instead of getting helf blown up and becoming a cyborg) The Mandarin being in two sets means a greater chance of having his rings, five in each set, or did your friend say he doesn't? Jack Taggert is confirmed, Firepower is not, just because Jack is in it doesn't mean he will be a villian. Like i said, it'll be Ratha all over again. Wang is playing a doctor who probably injects Tony with the Extremis, not Radioactive Man, and the guy is pale green not bright. If Marvel wanted to keep something very secret, they wouldn't let toy companies show things that'll spoil important parts of the movie, ala the Chitauri figures last year. i can gurantee that parts and figures from the sets will be missing from the Man of Steel and IM3 sets.
