I really hope that Mandarin doesn't have ten rings. To me they would become more of an inconvenience. I would hate having to store ten rings some where in my collection. They would be more of a hassle.

I agree about this ring thing...to scale and they'd be unplayable with my super manly fingers...out of scale, like LotR, and I'd have to store them. If ten tiny rings increases the cost of the set even an iota, I vote to skip them altogether.

Btw, I've used my two LotR rings (that sounds funny) as wrist cuffs on a custom, so they aren't totally unusable. ;)

I really am loving the character selection for these sets. It's great to get some non super powered figs thrown in. It's nice that Lego finally threw in some female characters too.

I hope the design for Tony Stark that their using in the Marvel game promos is pretty similar to what we get in the actual set, as it is a good design.

As that torso is the IM3 design Tony wears, yeah that is going to be the one in the set.

TT gets sets and minifigs designs before we, so they know.

Yeah, I too don't see them including ten rings, not only is it not very practical, I don't see the need.

I would not be surprised if TLG had to decide between making either War Machine or Iron Patriot and went with War Machine because that look is more well known.

If they don't make Iron Patriot or save him for some exclusive, I swear I'm gonna snap.

Video game pre-order exclusive? ;)

Because it's Lego, simple as that. The hole reveals his mouth and chin (combined in the Lego world) so yeah.

So are you saying that it's just an unaccurately designed helmet with no real explanation as to why it's so unnaccurate?

It's not inaccurate, batmans cowl in the movies does connect underneath the chin, if lego did that you wouldn't be able to take the cowl off.

If they made it without that bit it would look silly cause of the thickness.

They need to make Iron Patriot. He really is cool. Anyway, am I the only one wanting some Teen Titan Lego? Imagine how awesome that would be!

I'm an older comic fan (50s-80s are my favorites, the industry got a little...serious for me after that), so I don't really see the appeal of Iron Patriot. I think I mentioned when I first saw him, I thought it was a joke, like Spider-Ham.

Teen Titans, though? Yeah, I'd be all over that! Hmmm, maybe a MOC of the TT tower is in order...

I'm glad they made the LOTR ring, but outside of having Frodo carry one, I don't have a purpose for it.

I am hoping for LEGO donuts. Mmmh...

Wasn´t the game design they showed the Iron Man from the Quinjet set?

Comic-wise yeah but movie-wise I would say they are on the same level. Warmachine only appeared in the second movie and the current marketing for Iron Man 3 made it look like Iron Patriot would be Rhodeys suit for the whole movie. At least it seemed to be so until I saw that LEGO produced a Warmachine fig.

Oh please no. In Germany those figs get bundled exclusively with PS3 versions of the game. I would then have to buy the game in UK or France and worse: at its release date at full price!

Please let it be a S@H promotion like Hulk (even though I don´t believe this will be the case as Marvel and DC get the same amount of sets and depending on how they count all those promotional figs in relation to each other it will most likely mean a DC S@H fig and a Marvel Pre-order bonus).

Of course they could still release further Iron Man 3 sets with the Patriot in January 2014 or just put the Patriot in sets for the movie he appears in next (maybe Avengers 2 or Iron Man 4) but that are still two or three years...

Yes, in the game is his Mark 6 and 7. The Tony Stark in the game looks identical to his appearance in IM3, so it probably an early look at the fig.He has front and back printing, I'm guessing they will use the face from the Iron Man Fig.

Sucks that with the triangleur arc reactor , ican only use it for post IM2 Tony.

I gotta feeling Rhodey's suit is going through an arc like this

Act 1- Normal suit

Act 2- Iron Patriot

Act 3- Normal suit

Marvel would have had Lego make the Iron Patriot unless it's not too improtant in the movie. Or Lego's got things hidden.

I doubt Iron Patriot will be making more appearnces in MCU after IM3. if the make the suit a S@H i'm fine, if they make it a Comic - Con Exclusive, someone's going to get hurt.

Iron-Patriot would be really nice to create the Dark Avengers. Thats the "real" Iron-Patriot to me. I am interested to see the role he plays in this movie though?

The Iron Patriot armor is the new paint job that Rhodey's War Machine armor sports.

I know that, but as a Marvel comic fan the only Iron Patriot i will acknowledge at this point is Norman Osborn's. I honestly don't know why they decided to pull Iron Patriot out of nowhere and make a new storyline for the suit. And even more surprising is that the license to the character doesn't belong to Sony with all the other Spider-Man stuff, including Norman Osborn

They probably wanted to have the Patriot suit in the MCU, but didn't have the rights to Osborn, so they made it Rhodey's suit. Edited by daniel gourhan22

Finally we have a release date for the Lego Batman movie! May 21st!

It's great they gave us a Clark Kent. Although the torso kind of limits it's use. But it's cool nonetheless.

Even weirder though is that one site lists this as being rated PG-13.

Good find. I think he looks ok, though there could be far better choices for figures--like one of the other Justice League members. Still, Clark Superman is cool, even though his use is a bit limited. Now hopefully the movie will be worth it and not 90% cut scenes from the game.

Based on the trailer it seems as if it's a movie based on the game. And while some of the footage is similar to the cut scenes it is higher quality animation than the cut scenes (As well there are noticeable differences in the scenarios of those scenes from the game), so it's pretty safe to say it's not just recycled video.

Nice looking fig!

Edit: Ah, it's a movie! Even better than another book!

It's not a book, it's the movie version of LEGO Batman 2.

The fig is awesome, good to have Supes alter ego, though my only complaint is the open shirt revealing the Superman suit. I mean it looks cool, but limited. They were probably going to include him in a ''Man of Steel'' set , but didn't so they decided to put a comic version in this.

I just wished they would have based the suit he's ripping on an already existing torso.
