It doesn't matter which version it is. It's a variant that I am happy to get! I think it looks great. The chin thing doesn't bother me in the pictures, but when I have it in hand it may be a different story (same goes for the people who think it is ugly in the picture, maybe they'll love it once they hold it).

I'm most excited for these sets over the Superman sets, even though I'm a DC fan mostly. Funny how that works.

To me it looks pretty similar. The chin seems to be silver and the reactor looks similar.

It could be the Heartbreaker suit though, but again we'll find out soon enough.

It's the Mark XLII in the beginning, it just the lighting that makes look like that. It's also the suit Tony's dragging in the end shot. That suit looks to be one of the 30+ suits he builds, which Maarvel is working hard to keep secret.

I'm thinking that maybe tony gets the shrapnel removed from his chest and that's why this suit has a different arc reactor and is being called Heartbreaker. Just a guess so I could be miles away.

The torso printing makes me think it's the Heartbreaker suit. There's not enough tan for it to be the new Extremis armor (Mark XLII) from the pictures that were posted above. Brickipedia labels it the Hearbreaker, if that counts for anything (which I doubt it does). This suit definitely looks interesting... I'm interested to see the suit that comes with the mansion, though.

The Clark minifigure looks interesting, but I actually don't like it. I might still make an attempt to get it if prices are low enough on Bricklink (but I doubt that).

I actually do really like that Iron Man figure. I am not overly fond of the chin, but I like the deeper blue and the way it works with the red and gold. Now I wonder why War Machine does not have red eyes though, I hope that will change. :sceptic:

I am a Brickipedia administrator (not particularly proud of it either) and no, that does not count for anything. We get people coming on all the time and making good faith edits, but assume too much. The staff and editors are all volunteers (as I am sure you probably guessed) and are often on only when they don't have anything better to do, so these can go missed for a while. Usually we don't know anything before you do, so that would be a good thing to keep in mind while browsing.

Brickipedia isn't working that good for me today, so I couldn't find the biggest pic. But I didn't see this anywhere before, sorry if it has been posted:

That's the fake that was made a year ago. It was set against the hulk polybag background. It just a recolored and a slight alteration to the Mark VII torso.

Thought so, sorry about that all!:wall:

It's not a bad facade, but the scale is just off, like the Star Wars ships or something. You put Spidey hanging somewhere on the top and he kinda looks like he's a mini King Kong scaling some enormous skyscraper.

As for blending in with the modulars, etc, it should be fine, but remember its only about 6 studs deep. I'd put it in the back of your layout for sure.

Just going off the photo on LEGO.com here. I see it's definitely not as deep, being on an 8x16 plate. Heightwise, it looks like it would fair pretty well in the same vicinity as the Modulars. I may think differently when I get it in front of me, but it'll bring some nice diversity to my layout.

tommorow is the start of the German Toy Fair, anyone here going?

Maybe we will get better descriptions, some pics, and maybe a clue or reveal who the green bad guy in the Malibu set is. i have a feeling he's Eric Savin/ Coldblood, but we'll see.

I wouldn't knock it until youre holding it in your hand. Will see what set it comes in.

For me it just means more lego Iron Man dreams come true!

I remember last year when we as a majority cried foul on Ironman when we first saw photos of him. I am guilty of it. But once I got him in my hands, I really do like him & can't wait to get other variants.

I also thought about modding Daily Bugle into a full size modular. It does give a good starting point to work with though.

Same here I've already drawn some sketches about how I think it should look, and I'm experimenting on LDD. I have bought the set yet. I'm heading to the MK LEGO store in March and will get both the new Spidey sets then. Also if the rumours are true it will be double VIP points aswell then, so it will be worth the wait.

I just ran across a boxed picture of one of the Superman LEGO sets from "Man of Steel" and thought the forum might enjoy it. Not sure how to hide the image as it might be considered a spoiler so I'll just attach the link. I'm looking forward to the sets a great deal! Here goes:

Love the set, especially the laser-eyed faceprint.

That set looks good. I like the new Supes fig, he doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. Zod looks good aswell, not sure about the car however.

I think that the MOS set looks great, all superheroes sets are a must buy for me, here is a picture of the MOS set out of the box in my Flickr stream Lego Man Of Steel set 76002

superman looks good generally but they really should have put the beltbucke part on his hips instead of torso, this makes him look short and unusual.

the lines connecting to the belt has becme more horizontal than vertical wich is the issue.

Can anyone tell if hes using the same old muscle design ?
