just2good Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Iron Man Malibu Mansion Attack Asst 76007. This set, which will retail for $39.99, will come with Tony Stark, Peter Potts, Iron Man Mark 42, Mandarin, Extremis Soldier, and a helicopter. With 364 pieces in total, this set will be released in March 2013. March release date? That's a bit early... Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Found on Cooltoyreview: Super-Man: Battle Of Smallville Asst 76007. Including Colonel Hardy, General Zod, Superman, Tor-An, Faora, a vehicle, and a ship, this set will have a total of 418 pieces, will retail for $49.99, and is set to be released in May 2013. Superman: Black Zero Escape Asst 76009. Priced at $19.99, this set will be hit retail in May 2013 and will contain Superman, General Zod, Lois Lane, a platform, and a pod. A total of 168 pieces. I can't judge the Smallville set yet, but Black Zero at least is sounding disappointing. Is it the interior of the ship and an escape pod for Supes and/or Lois to escape in, rather than the ship itself? Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Hmmm, release date of March for Iron Man sets? Unlikely but not going to bother me! As for MoS sets, I dont like Super Man, he's just to super! I'll pass Mr.Kent. Edited February 11, 2013 by Im a brickmaster. Quote

There's also pics of the Iron Man vs the Mandarin: Ultimare Showdown set (IM and Mandarin in a different look from the Malibu Attack, some kind of buggy/tank for Mandarin, 91pcs) and Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle set (IM, Warmachine, some other figure I can't make out, speeder boat, 195pcs). Navy Trooper Fenson Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I really love how so many outlets went to the Toy Fair. Everyone posts thousands and thousands of photos. Waste an entire day to weekend and go there by plane or train. And no one gives a shit about Man of Steel. Well, except the generously detailed description of Cooltoynews, which I am going to repeat in abridged form to make the description of the models that we haven´t seen already: a vehicle, and a ship[...] a platform, and a pod. One would think there could be a better description. I mean, what does "vehicle and ship" even mean. Is the vehicle a car, a tank or something related to the ship? If it is a car, why couldn´t they even think of a word that better describes the car like jeep or cabrio? If it is a tank, why is it so hard to just say tank? If it is still a spaceship, why would they say vehicle instead of something like "smaller spacecraft"? That would be very easy to differentiate. It sound more like the kind of description LEGO or a newspaper would give. The most generic words you can think of. It´s not the description of the people that give the situation the proper seriousness it deserves and go out of their way to get to a show about toys. Quote

Well i asked FBTB about Samllville and this is what i got. http://www.fbtb.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9010 The armored version of Zod in the higher priced sets, okay. And i think that the vehicle is some type of military jeep/ car or a car similar to Metropolis showdown, but the ship is the one seen in the trailer. And the platform and pod for the black zero set is wierd there better be mor to the set or a really good platform. Quote

The armoured Zod has made my mind up, no metropolis showdown but I will get the Battle Of Smallville, should be £39.99. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Is the armor on Zod molded or printed? Well, when i talked to the FBTB guy, he made it sound like it would be in the same style as Darth Malgus' armor and cape design. Quote
Brickity Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Were the MoS superheroes sets even there? Or were people not allowed to take pictures of them? If they were there, I think we might at least get some description on every minifig, vehicle, etc? Quote

If they were there, I think we might at least get some description on every minifig, vehicle, etc? All the new SH sets were there, but there was a no photo embargo on them. Sets that would spoil scenes in secret coated movies. Little late on that for Marvel. And most people go to NYTF expecting to take pics, not memorize sets and things( that's more London and Germany). The guy I talked to at FBTB said what he could remember about the sets, so yeah. ( check a few posts up for the link) Quote
Jackattack7 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 If Lego bring out a Marvel visual dictionary, could the exclusive fig be the Iron Patriot? Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 If Lego bring out a Marvel visual dictionary, could the exclusive fig be the Iron Patriot? Sadly I am betting my money on him being a Comic-Con exclusive figure . Or maybe the pre-order exclusive for the new game. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 For the Man of Steel sets, I am not going to get particularly optimistic, if the Iron Man 3 sets are anything to go by. Even so, the Battle of Smallville sounds like it could be a good set, and LEGO has not made a bad £20 Super Heroes set yet IMO, so there is still hope for the Black Zero Escape set. Bring on pictures of the Man of Steel sets! Quote
Studebricker Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I am interested in Man of Steel and whatever sets Lego will be making to support the movie, but after Return of Superman being generally disappointing, the new movie is going to have to prove itself to win fans. Maybe by next year the MOS sets will be in great demand... Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Sadly I am betting my money on him being a Comic-Con exclusive figure . Or maybe the pre-order exclusive for the new game. Or a hulk type polybag, i hope for that. Maybe lego didn't know how important the Iron Patriot would be or couldn't find a set to put it in. Preorder iwould like a Iron Man suit or a Stan Lee minifig. Quote

Daniel, as we are both fans of IM and Lone Ranger, which franchise, in your opinion, made out better? Quote

Daniel, as we are both fans of IM and Lone Ranger, which franchise, in your opinion, made out better? I'd love a Stan Lee fig too, he is the main Marvel man. I like the Marvel IM sets they are the better. Sorry i'm a hardcore comic book geek, but i only have watched the lone ranger movies. But i will admit i was floored by the mine and stagecoach. Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 A Stan Lee minifig would be an absolute stroke of genius. Unless, of course, it was released as an impossibly rare convention exclusive.... Quote
just2good Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 A Stan Lee figure isn't impossible. I mean, they just did it with Peter Jackson... Quote
Kez Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Guys do you reckon that we will see more Man Of Steel sets at Copenhagen tomorrow? Quote
