commodore_legolas Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Wow. You got us, man. Great job! EDIT: Hey, 200th post. Edited April 2, 2013 by commodore_legolas Quote
Cammo Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Heads up for Frenchies. I visited the LEGO shop today (Lille) and the Iron Man 3 sets were on the shelves. Except for the Malibu mansion. ( but I noticed the guy unpacking them in the stock room.) Quote
8BrickMario Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Great prank, J2G! Of course I will act like next year's deliberately poor grammar is normal! Quote
North Lego Star Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 In regards to the Thor set, to me it looks too obscure to be fake. Typically someone trying to fool the AFOL community would create a MOC which is both recognizable and desirable. This set hold nether of these qualities. What the heck is it supposed to be? Plus J2G is a trustworthy source. Anyway, if anyone wants a peek at what some future Super Hero sets and minifigures may look like, Collider has some preliminary art from Captain America 2, Thor 2, and my favorite The Guardians of the Galaxy. http://collider.com/...-galaxy-images/ Just seeing the concept art for the Guardians of the Galaxy makes me feel like Lego won't really touch that area, I think that large ship may be a good Marvel Excluisve set though and maye that's what we'll end up getting. By the way, nice job on the April Fools prank just2good! Quote

By the way, nice job on the April Fools prank just2good! I think that Marvel would want a couple sets to based on a property they are trying to get kids and the general audience interested in a walking talking tree named Groot( shouldn't be to hard, with Ents in LOTR), and a walking, talking Racoon that fires a gun. Devorath Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Heh heh. Fooled me. I want new Captain 'MURRICA sets. But I'm pretty pleased with this year's turnout. I would have liked some more Ultrabuilds, but the Iron Man sets are awesome. I'm loving the extremis dudes, but the fact that their normal heads are still GID is a bit disappointing, but still expected. Quote
coolguy2323 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Dang it just2good! Thor is my favorite Marvel character, you got me excited! Quote
sologuy369 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 The arm looks like a regular human arm. Maybe they do it in metallic color but even that is a little too much effort for LEGO. Its not a regular arm. They have done "robot" arms before, like the minifigure below. http://minifigures.lego.com/en-us/Bios/Space%20Villain.aspx Quote
DJ Bricks Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Its not a regular arm. They have done "robot" arms before, like the minifigure below. Yeah, anyone who knows the Winter Soldier, knows that his arm was amputated and replaced with a mechanical one. The moulded arm works, but it would have to be printed with the red star. I hope for CA: TWS, T: TDW, and GoTG sets. Quote

I hate IM's voice though. Ouch I agree, Th be honest half the voices sound bad. And the lines are pretty bad! Though the brilliant looking gameplay mote than makes up for it. I'm just going to spehd hours in free play as iron man, Flying around shooting thins. P.S- I think there is a marvel game thread in culture and media. Quote

halomaster96 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Although I would like an Iron Patriot (just like everybody) I kinda hope the exclusive fig will be Bruce Banner, since he is in the game and if we don't get him here we will have to wait until at least Avengers 2. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Its not a regular arm. They have done "robot" arms before, like the minifigure below. http://minifigures.l...ce Villain.aspx Yeah, anyone who knows the Winter Soldier, knows that his arm was amputated and replaced with a mechanical one. The moulded arm works, but it would have to be printed with the red star. The arm on the concept art looks like a regular human arm. The LEGO robot arm looks like a much wider square with some rings and a huge claw hand instead of a regular one. Just because it´s a robot arm it doesn´t mean the arm has to be a different mold. Especially when it looks like they will just give the actor a long rubber glove. Giving Winter Soldier the Agents arm would be like giving Darth Vader Agents arms. Looking at the video preview and Agent Coulson figure is more possible, now that he even appears in the game. When I already have to kiss the Patriot goodbye for at least another two years they can at least finally give me the open suit with tie torso in black like I always begged for. Quote
Savage Oppress Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Pics from the new Lego Marvel Superheroes Video Game that will be coming out for Wii U and other consoles/handhelds in Fall 2013. Quote
Piranha Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I have to say, I am very disappointed in TLG for giving us the Iron Man Drone polybag instead of a new exclusive figure. That was a missed opportunity to receive a one off minifig that has not been produced and might not ever. Forgetting the obvious Iron Patriot, it could have been one of the many new suits that will appear in the film or even a Man of Steel fig. Perhaps maybe a obscure hero, anything would have been better, especially considering the outrage over last years Comic-Con exclusive minifigs. Although, I am still looking forward to the Marvel Superheroes pregame bonus, probably Iron Patriot. Having printed arms would be a good solution. Also, since arm printing is uncommon, it would make a Winter Soldier fig even more desirable. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) Wow abomination looks great, nice job with the zoom in just2good JJJ, pepper Potts and er-man in the set. Edited April 6, 2013 by Jackattack7 Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I love Abomination and Sandman and everyone else... But I have to say, I hate these Lego games because they show us these great designs for figs, but then we can't get them in person! Quote

Sandman could be made, the Abomination could if they did Phase one sets, or if the Abomination returned. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Got the spider cycle and TDKR sets today at Manchester store, amazingly they had no bugle sets. Quote
sologuy369 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Don't know if anyone noticed that someone is in the pod. Quote
just2good Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 {pic} Don't know if anyone noticed that someone is in the pod. Well, I noticed. Three figures is the standard for $20 licensed sets nowadays. Quote
8BrickMario Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 (edited) The figure in the Black Zero pod device is General Zod: http://lego.wikia.co...ack_Zero_Escape Back in my day, $20 sets only had TWO minifigures!
