This is why we need collectable Superheroes minifigs... Lego could make a large majority of those suits with no new molds, just new printing.

I am really hoping TLG is being sneaky and that there is a large exclusive set with some awesome suits still to come, but I'm not going to hold my breathe on that one. I think our best chance at seeing some of the new suits will either be a pre-order bonus or, I hate to say it, a Comic Con exclusive and even then I think more than likely we would see Iron Patriot. Although, seeing as one of the most iconic Iron Man suit is the Silver Centurion, I could see that one being made as well.

I to would think we'd see iron patriot but the inclusion of the old war machine armor in the seaport set makes me think no. Probably should have been the patriot armor but they didn't want to show spoilers maybe?

That wouldn't be a spoiler, as the Patriot suit has already been in advertising. The sets already have bigger spoilers than that, like Killian becoming Extremis-infused (although that's no surprise) or Pepper going into the armor (which was then shown in an ad). I think it's more likely that they went with War Machine because that armor is more universal, already appearing in IM2. Or, perhaps by that point in the film he's back in War Machine armor.

Yeah, because at a point the IP armour gets stolen by the Mandarin and is worn by Eric Savin in the assult on Air Force One. So Tony probably makes Rhodey another WM armour.

TLG is really missing out on a BIG thing. When I walked in the toy aisle with my son over the weekend, he was instinctively drawn to the multiple, small Iron Man 3 action figures. They don't even have to put them out to retail. I would EASILY buy all 42 suits at $7/ea. Not to mention the multiple villains or other 'rare' Marvel SuperHero Minifigs.

**TLG, please listen! You are making super hero toys at a sensible, legal speed limit. Marvel is making movies at warp speed, yet you have the license! I think the problem is because of how fast Marvel are putting out films. The hype for each film only lasts a few months, which is most likely why LEGO have chosen small sets.

I think this has to do with the kind of license that LEGO has. They aren't allowed to produce "action figure" type products, just construction sets. I could be wrong though.

I'm guessing LEGO put him in because they aren't doing IM2 sets and we would be mad if we never got WM in his normal armor. Though now we will be mad that they didn't give us Iron Patriot.

I think with the tumbler in TDKR set, I will change the darker cammo pieces to brown and the top side panels to flat brown pieces. That way one of those stickered pieces can be put on top to look like the cannon on the top.

The War Machine armor is identical with Iron Patriot just with a different paint job. Which means that Rhodey will either get a new suit from Tony, punches Killian in his sparkly face and then paints it american OR he gets a new suit from Tony, paints it american, is disillusioned (or suddenly finds the paint job lame, how shall I know?) paints it back to silver/grey and punches Killian in his sparkly face.

If the first situation is true I am completely fine with it but still think in a perfect universe they should have done a super-duper version of Malibu Mansion as a counter to UCS Arkham Asylum breakout with all the suits from the first three movies (Mark 1 to 7, the weird tan colored one, Heartbreaker and all the other special ones, or at least some of them and the War Machines ideally).

If the second situation is true they could have simply waited until Iron Man 4 or Avengers 2 because Rhodey will appear anyway and if their goal is not to give us all the Iron Man suits but only to give us as many differently colored suits as possible they should have made Iron Patriot since he won´t appear anymore, is much more central to Iron Man 3 (seriously, he was the first thing I saw from the movies production and he is in every trailer, Patriot is more important than Mark42 if you ask me) and a grey War Machine is Rhodeys default outfit anyway so it´s not like there would have never been a possibility to do War Machine anymore after Iron Man 3.

And after this stupid essay I wouldn´t even be surprised if it is Iron Patriot who punches Killian in the face on his speedboat.

Well I have already had enough of Iron man 3 spoiled for me. So I would appreciate it if everyone stopped posting potential spoilers and other important plot points. When I'm paying £7.50 to see the film I would like it to Suprise me as that's how I enjoy movies.

For future reference, I would appreciate if movie spoilers could stay out of this thread. I know there are many people, myself included, who actively avoid news stories and spoilers about highly anticipated movies.

If anyone would like to go over to the Culture and Multimedia threads and spoiler it up, fine. But this forum should be about the sets. If something relating to the sets could spoil the movie, spoiler tags would be appropriate.

Thanks, hopefully it's the promotion figure that will come with the marvel superheroes game, or maybe even better a big set

This is a big tease by LEGO, like how they included that Nick Fury figure in the Avengers poster. I'm still hoping for it to be a videogame promo and not a Comic Con promo, but we'll see.
