@TheJoker1 That looks very fake, notice the usual artwork of the main character in the top right corner is missing and I can't recall Jor El ever wearing a Superman outfit.

For me, that's the only thing that indicates it's a fake. It actually uses the old 2012 artwork on the top (no city) without the character in the corner. Otherwise, it looks real to me, and I'd call it real.

Is that head new, or from something? If it's old I would think that is a pretty big indication it is fake. Also, did we ever hear about what happened to the redbird cycle polybag?

Yes, there was quite a debacle about the Friends advent calendar last year.

It's not supermans outfit, its the family outfit. Just without the extra armor stuff over.

Nope, at this point, I guess it's cancelled. I was hoping for it to be a June promo. Who knows though, we might get instructions for it on June 1st.

I don't know if I'd dismiss it that quickly. The torso is actually different from Superman's, it lacks the red at the top. Also this seems like a lot of work on the part of the seller. I mean if this were fake that would indicate that the seller fabricated the torso, head and bag, that just seems like a lot of work for a fake. Also if you look into the sellers feedback you'll notice that they were previously selling the Han Solo exclusive figure. While there is some possibility to this being fake there are indeed a number of factors that make it seem real.

Aww man! I hope it still shows up somewhere.

The Jor El polybag definitely looks interesting, I hope it's real!

Face looks used before. I call it a fake.

Exactly and it looks nothing like Crowe, but i hope it's real. Torso is the same as Supes, but a different cape.

Why do you hope it's real if it doesn't look anything like the actor? I think the figure looks pretty boring to be honest.

Edit: I noticed that up by his neck, the cape print on the torso is a different color than Supes. I don't know if it makes it more likely to be real or fake though?

The most tell-tale sign of this being a fake is the white outline around the figure. LEGO never does that. If you look up other single-figure promotional polybags, you won't find a white outline. It's a cheap photoshop trick for making things look good that a big company with a graphics department wouldn't use.

And why would he be wearing a cape?

No one knows, at the moment we know nothing about the film. Last year everyone was moaning that the hulk fig has tan pants. Then we saw the film and it was pretty accurate. Maybe in Man of steel Jor-el wears a cape at some point.

And why would he be wearing a cape?

He does in other action figures of him ;)

Also people saying the face have been used before plase come up with some evidence.

The more I look at it the more fake it looks. The top left looks too empty. The white outline makes me think Photoshop. The legs look to be spread apart, which I don't think Lego would do. But who knows. :shrug_confused:

I really don't know what to think of this minifig, because part of me thinks it's real since you wouldn't usually find such a minifig in a bag like that on ebay. The other part of my mind tells me that it's a fake since, after looking at images of Jor-El from Man of Steel, he looks nothing like that and doesn't even bare the "S" symbol on his shirt. I think it's real though and maybe it's going to be June promotion minifig like the Iron Man minifig will be in May. Only time will tell though.

The new LEGO Club magazine has a build code for a Tony Stark lab model to build with your own pieces.

The instructions aren't public yet, but it'll be interesting to see what it is.

That's pretty interesting as I takle it as a little sign form lego that we'll be getting one more Iron Man 3 set at some point since I assume the lab will be able to display all the Iron Man suits. Hopefully we get a large Lego Exclusive Iron Man 3 Final Battle Set with the main characters and some more Iron Man suits.

Jor el wears the same suit as superman does, but Jor el wears it underneat his other clothes, you can spot the blue fabric thought it.

Doesent mean the fig is real, but the suit is certainly present in his wardrobe.

I think that the White outline is meant to be a glow surrounding the character. Perhaps its a hologram version of him, like in the old films in the Fortress of Solitude.

The gap between the legs is most likely normal, but due to the crease on packet it looks strange.

The whole face used before as well seems wrong. As far as I can tell its not been used before. However it reminds me of Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan and the SW Rebel trooper from Battle of Endor.

He speaks the truth! ^_^

A good shot of it here.

And thinking about it, if it were the same undersuit it would still have the red cape bits. :S

So, here's the list of clues:

Real: New torso, face, leg AND bag printing. Plus Brickset -Very complex and complicated for a fake. And Brickset is a great authority.

Fake: Lacking top character graphic, last year's package design, leg pose doesn't look right-Lego doesn't just leave that blank, why use the old banner, and why the odd pose?

Neutral: Never heard of before, white outline around figure.-TLG is capable of surprising us, and the outline doesn't make sense, but is possible.

I'm leaning towards it being real, but I've been wrong before.

I think it's real, the reason I think there is no art in the top right because he's not the main character of the mos movie (it would be weird to have artwork of him). Hawkeye and Thor polybags had artwork because they are apart of the avengers team, Iron Man because of IM3.
