Faefrost Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 After seeing IM3 for the second time today, I'm really wishing we could've gotten a set with Happy and I wish Maya was in the Malibu Mansion set. Oh that would have been nice. Here are a few more from the wishlist - Hey Lego, see these dudes. We need a few more of them with the clear window replaced with a blanked out grey or chrome. Yeah I know they weren't actually in the movie, but its a matter of principle. We Need AIM BEEKEEPERS DAMIT! - Why oh Why oh Why did they give us a regular Warmachine in one set and save Iron Patriot for a video game preorder bonus? The regular silver Warmachine is never in this movie??? They would have been better putting him in the polybag and giving us IP! - We need a John Faveau minifig to go along with the Peter Jackson one. - We need a uniform or civilian Rhodey fig. - It's probably too much to ask for a Tony vs "Drunken Mandarin with 2 Hookers" set, isn't it? DAMIT! It would be way cooler than the damned Ultimate Flame Throwing Golf Cart - We were picking on the "Ultimate" IM vs Mandarin Battle set as looking like Iron Man was taking on a Drunken Homeless Hobo... who would have guessed that we actually got it right? Do we get extra points for that? That Mandarin fig has just become ripe for all sorts of interesting yet demented MOC's. - Any chance of a female Extremis fig? - I can't figure out how to fit a giant stuffed rabbit into my Malibu Mansion set. OK I'm done with the weird stream of conscious babbling. Carry on with your normal thread. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 That's not gold....... And I'm having troubles finding the Godkiller on any of the armors. http://forums.superh...t=455137&page=8 -Omi It looked gold in the film. Quote
Spider-Man Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 (edited) I think that gold one might be Midas - Mk 21. Mk 21 wasn't in either of the pictures posted by Jackattack. I'm not entirely sure I even saw it in the movie? Back on topic though, I am really hoping we somehow get a large exclusive set later on based of off the REAL Ultimate battle with like 5 different suits. It shouldn't be hard for TLG to make different suits considering they already have the helmet mold. Edited May 5, 2013 by Spider-Man Quote

I'm just glad we got a Pepper and War Machine. Quote
Zzz Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 is there any news yet on the Iron Patriot for Europe? It would not be good to have this exclusive to the US. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 So I'm sure it was covered last year when the Avengers sets came out, but I recall everyone complaining about Loki's staff and how inaccurate it was to the film. I believe everyone talked about the Elven sword looking closer to the weapon used in the film (and it was). But I only bring this up because I watched the first Thor again recently and the staff used by Odin and Loki (later in the film) looks seemingly identical to the staff they gave Loki in the Avengers sets. The sai stuck in the pharaoh's quest mummy staff looked really good compared to that source material, just not the Avengers source material. This has nothing to do with Iron Man or Superman currently, but I found it interesting so I thought I would bring it up. Quote

Would also appreciate any news about Iron Patriot for Asia (Singapore) as well. It would be a real bummer indeed if this was a US-only exclusive, leaving the rest of us at the mercy of going to the secondary market... Quote

I got a reply from Customer Service they don't have any information about Iron patriot for Europe yet. Since the game is coming out end of October, I am not giving up hope yet. Of course there are many super heroes fans around the world and not only in the US - so I really hope they can offer that via Amazon or whomever. Quote
Cammo Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 For the Dutch/Belgian buyers, it will probably be at Bart Smit or Game Mania as usual. Quote
deskp Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 All 42 suits images exist online taken from the game. Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Is the Extremis Soldier suppose to represent Eric Savin? Brickipedia claims it even though it has no resemblance to the character at all. Quote
Spider-Man Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 All 42 suits images exist online taken from the game. I would live to see them! Could you provide a link? I tried googling it and didn't come up with anything. Quote
strangely Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 (edited) Is the Extremis Soldier suppose to represent Eric Savin? Brickipedia claims it even though it has no resemblance to the character at all. From what I understand he is supposed to be Eric Savin, but they didn't name the minifigure that to avoid spoiling the movie. And more than likely the lack of resemblance has to do with Lego probably having to base the design on concept art rather than the finished product. You can see this particularly with characters like Mandarin, Black Widow and Hawkeye who's figures look very close to the concept art but not the actual movie characters. Lego has to design these figures pretty far in advance and character appearances can change pretty late in a movies development. Edited May 6, 2013 by strangely Quote

I suppose it makes sense, though I can never Imagine the Mandarin's Golf cart of doom ever being in concept art. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Is the Extremis Soldier suppose to represent Eric Savin? Brickipedia claims it even though it has no resemblance to the character at all. As Strangely said, he could have looked that way in concept art. His face bears much resemblance to James Badge Dale's (actor who played Savin) , but people want facts. And the golf cart is easily Lego's creation, thinking that the Mandarin and tony would throw down. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I would have loved to see the look on a designer's face when the Mandarin twist happened... only joking Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 More like his face when he watches the film......(omg, I am seriously screwed!) Quote
Kez Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Yes, I too would have also loved to see the designers face, but they don't get told too much about the plot so I presume it's very hard for them to design what they do Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Is the Extremis Soldier suppose to represent Eric Savin? Brickipedia claims it even though it has no resemblance to the character at all. It shouldn't. I don't know how many times I removed that.... Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Well, now the question is, "Does Brickimedia say so?" Quote

Kez Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Today I recieved all 3 man of steel sets for my birthday and having built them I can say that they are really good and I would recommend getting them Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 ^Happy Birthday! It's nice to know that you recommend these sets, the Smallville set is looking better every picture I see, so that may be a definite purchase. I might pick up the MoS sets during the mid-year toy sales. Quote
