Spider-Man Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I really hope they don't bring more ultimate Spiderman! The good thing about USM is that the show branches out and introduces a whole bunch of different characters that don't necessarily have the strongest connections to Spidey. Through those sets we already got Dr. Doom and in the show they have had episodes with Juggernaut, Awesome Andy, and Dr. Strange, so if they stay with giving us characters like that I am all for it! Besides, Season 2 has introduced a lot of awesome Spidey villains like Carnage, Rhino, the Lizard, Kraven, and Electro. Long story short, as long as they keep giving us new characters and good builds (I liked the two from the winter wave) I will be happy with it. Quote
Legoman123 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 To be honest I don't think we are gong to see a huge DC set like Arkham Asylum, I do however think that we are going to see a huge marvel set, but I highly doubt there will be a big DC set and a big marvel set. Quote
sologuy369 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Cant wait for whatever new marvel sets they do. There is such a rich library of source material. Edited May 12, 2013 by sologuy369 Quote

They have been on most retailer websites since May 1st I believe. Sadly, at Target, they have some added price inflation! EDIT: Post 2500! 1/4 near 10,000! What have I been doing with my life! strangely Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I don't care how we get them but I hope we get Alfred,Nightwing,Killer Croc and Batgirl next year! I think it's likely we'll get at least Alfred, Nightwing and Killer Croc next year. For the Batman sets Lego does usually put in several remakes of the old figures. I would love to have a Batgirl minifigure. I don't know the odds of getting one. But who knows maybe Batgirl and Nightwing could be in a set fighting Killer Croc. Quote

Aww, thank you. I don't care how we get them but I hope we get Alfred,Nightwing,Killer Croc and Batgirl next year! That is what I suspect next year, if they don't have sets tied in with a DC show. But, I got a feeling for Teen Titans Go! sets and less likely Beware the Batman set. I don't know why... Quote

But, I got a feeling for Teen Titans Go! sets and less likely Beware the Batman set. I don't know why... I am definitely in favor of Teen Titans sets so long as they fit in with the rest of the superheroes minifigures (I'll have none of that weird head clone wars crap again). I could see a few sets for Beware the Batman. It would definitely be a good opportunity for some lesser known characters. Although after no sets for Young Justice it makes me wonder if we're going to get any show based sets for DC. I can hope though. Quote
Big T Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I don't care how we get them but I hope we get Alfred,Nightwing,Killer Croc and Batgirl next year! Agreed, these are the big omissions from the current Batman line I feel. I know it doesn't mean that much, but the fact both Nightwing and Batgirl will be in the board game gives me hope that they'll be given a set (maybe between them, given Dick and Barbara's connection in the comics). Killer Croc seems likely as the next villain since he's the glaring omission from those released in the first run. Alfred I'm a bit worried about. I only see him getting a gig either in a Beware the Batman (I prefer the traditional look for him personally) or in a Wayne Manor set (possible, but I doubt we'll see that next year given it's Marvel's turn for a big exclusive) But I'd love to get a Nightwing/Batgirl versus Killer Croc set (maybe some kind of Sewer/seaside battle? Give Nightwing a Jetski or I dunno a hovercraft for them to share...who wouldn't want a hovercraft haha?) and then move onto the rest of the Justice League. Flash and Green Lantern are long overdue in sets, and would be perfect in the team up sense. I'm guessing we'd see Cyborg in a Teen Titans set, especially since DC seem to be trying to build up his notoriety Quote
Sam892 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 After watching the trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D I find it unlikely that one of next years sets isn't based around it. It looks like it will have a few Super heroes that could be made into figs ( I won't spoil or list them ). The waves have to get bigger next year. Quote

Spidey is actually my all time favourite of the marvel universe up there with iron man, cap, Thor and doctor doom. I was just stating I'd like to see them base a few sets off the new movies coming out. I would be happy with more Spidey as well though. In fact I really want some form of green goblin whether it be from comic or TV show. I would be perfectly happy to see more Spidey but as long as the movies I mentioned get at least some sets. I would like to see from Spidey: Green goblin, Agent Coulson,,Dr strange I agree with you on lizard that is a must! carnage and the rest brilliant too. I desperately want green goblin though. Spidey needs his nemesis!!!!!!! Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I don't follow the USM series (T.V can't pick up CN), but from those lists, there are some great potential for some good figures. I'd love the Rhino figure that is based on his appearance in Amazing Spiderman 2, but I know that won't happen . After watching the trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D I find it unlikely that one of next years sets isn't based around it. Well, the theme is called "Superheroes" and S.H.E.I.L.D agents don't necessarily fit in that category, I doubt sets based on it will be made. Although I would like to see an official Coulson figure. Savage Oppress Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) so I saw Iron Man 3 yesterday, and it was so epic even though I didn't see any scenes that Lego based off of for the other 2 Iron Man Sets, the only scene that I saw that Lego based the Malibu Mansion set from is the Malibu Mansion attack by Mandarin. Hmm that is intriguing perhaps we'll see some more lego iron man 3 then. I think he was talking about the Lego marvel game. Then again he could be referencing a forthcoming iron man 3 Lego game in production. Edited May 13, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote

Spider-Man Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 The whole thing just really makes me wish TLG would wait until after the movie to release sets and make them more movie accurate, rather than basing everything off the concept designs. Quote

Sam892 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 The whole thing just really makes me wish TLG would wait until after the movie to release sets and make them more movie accurate, rather than basing everything off the concept designs. Problem is that especially with the marvel movies, the hype for kids has gone. LEGO sets take a year each to plan. So by the time they made movie accurate stuff, so by the time sets were released the majority of kids would more interested in Captain America 2. If the kid who played Harley is right, and the guys who did the X-men panel are right then we are getting some cool stuff. But with Thor coming out as well I'm guessing that Spidey will have to wait a bit for more sets. I'm still sticking to my guns and saying that X-men will be the S@H Exculsive. Plus if the new Iron man set does have Harley then I'm guessing he's just shoe horned in to a set. Quote
