However, due to the slightly monochromatic look of the armor, I threw canon out the window and changed the hands to gold to make it more interesting. I wonder if the "fighting drone" is supposed to be a counterpart to the Avengers' drone in the Quinjet? I think its the nuke. Quote

It confuses me why people continually make a big deal out of stuff like double VIP and anything Lego.com deal related. Unless there's a unique reward it's factually cheaper at places like Amazon (which commonly does very good deals). I'm waiting until Man of Steel comes out myself to see if I even like it. If I do I'll get Jor'El when I buy 2 of the Man of Steel sets (the cheaper one has no unique minifigures I think). Quote

Sure Amazon has good percentage deals, but there's no other incentive? I'd rather pay full price and get the rewards than saving some dollars. And, I too was surprised to see 30167 Ironman vs. drone polyabg added to my order. Wasn't planning on getting it because I already have that suit, but I'll gladly take it for free. Quote
eldiano Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) VIP kind of sucks, I spent 500+ on sets this past two weeks and only got 30 dollars towards any lego purchase. I went to the lego store and didn't feel like spending 75 dollars or more on Lego purchases now IT had mostly to do with the fact that Duel on Geonosis wasn't out, BUT having said that I popped in on ebay on saturday and managed to buy three jor-els for 10 dollars each, the seller had 50 and they sold out in less than 30 minutes... I watched a documentary about man of steel and it shows jor el wearing that and then putting on armour in rather a cool way! Then punching zod in the face with his gun! So the Lego figure is accurate although an armoured one would've been nice. Quote

My wife thought is the good idea fairy, she told me next time just buy orders in increments of the promo minimum total cost rather than one single purchase just to get one item... Quote

That's what I've been doing, got Iron Man last month with 2 MOS sets and Jor-El is on route now with a SW set; best way! It looks like Lego are really stepping up on delivery speed as we only ordered Tuesday evening so technically it only took a day!!!! From that and when other actors (Hobbit for example) get their Lego figures there seems to be an honest sense of excitement and gratitude to being immortalised in Lego. I think we'll see a Deathstroke minifig and a Green Arrow minifig next year, but not based off their look in Arkham Origins or The Arrow Show. Lego doesn't seem to do stuff based off of video games or Live Action TV shows, but that doesn't stop them from making a minifig of them so people at least have them. All I'm really hopeing for at this point is for next years DC line up to look like this... -3 Comic Book Style Batman Sets -1 The DarK Knight Rises Set -1 Green Lantern and Other Hero set -1 The Flash and other Hero set By the way, when do we usually find out information about the Comic Con Exclusive minifigs? Not again this ridiculous idea of making wanted minifigures in limited numbers and give them to people who sell them for too much money. After I started playing the Facebook Marvel game I really apreciated Phoenix. Whatever marketing stategy that is, I don't like it. On another note: Got the Malibu Mansion 2 days ago. As it was expected, good set. And a good base to remodel from. Nearly finished Tony's working area, the top part is still a little empty, even though I kept the kitchen part. Anyone knows what else would fit in there and (to stay with the sets-topic) what you would have liked in there? Also the little robot is really hard to mod to fit the movie. Great to hear that you are a big LEGO fan! I asked about the availability of this Blue ray movie from our specialists and they informed me that regretfully this blue Ray Movie will only be available in the US as it was specially designed for the US market. I'm really sorry about that! Lego Batman is apparently for the US market funny last time I checked he was a comic character with worldwide fans and acclaim! Looks like us Non USA fans will have to import this release. how disappointing TLC.... Quote
