This may be good news for the possibility of pre avengers sets: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=11561&page=

That's pretty interesting news. However I don't believe we'll be getting any pre avengers sets soon because Marvel has new material for lego to make sets based off every year. Despite this, I think we have a good chance of seeing the characters from these movies being made as exclusive minifigs for your Comic Cons, Lego Promotions, Toy Fairs and so on.

Same thoughts as me. So many set material properties are coming out next year- GotG, CA:TWS, and all those new cartoons- but don't forget about Thor 2 this year. We're going to get a lot of Marvel sets next year with the new properties alone.

For Peggy Carter they could just use Lois Lane's head since it actually looks like her already (Brown eyebrows and the expression). Honestly that head looks nothing like Amy Adams. It makes me wonder if heads like these were initially designed for other characters...

EDIT: This also might mean mk.1 War Machine!

No my friend, that would be straight up War Machine. ( Puts shades on) Period. On a different note, anyone who has gone or will go to comic con, get us some PICTURES! Quick before a have a lego depravation heart attack!

It's still 14 days away so hopefully your heart can hold off until then  I'm sure we will have the pictures as soon as they're available, just don't hold your breathe until the 17th!

That is good news, in addition to hopefully Amazing Spider-man 2, they can use them in future sets. I wouldn't expect sets next year as others have mentioned since TLG plans its releases quite a while in advance, but still something useful for TLG to keep in their back pocket.

On another note, a seller on ebay (item #400522809281) appears to have an Iron Patriot early, looks like a factory leak, since some areas look smudged like a factory second. That same seller also has a listing for the SW advent calender young Boba Fett minifig, a set not due until this winter.

That ebay figure looks like a custom mini fig, looks way off for some reason. And he is selling it used. makes no sense. But he is from Mexico, so it might well indeed a factory leak lol

Hope that the patriot is released like lex was over here in the uk as it was much easier just having a version of the game that included the figure on all platforms. I don't have a console I just grabbed the pc version for £18 with lex last year off amazon which was brilliant! Hope they do the same this year as with lex he was originally a GameStop exclusive but then when the game was released lex was included in a pack with the game in quite a few uk places!

I remember that Lex came with the game in Sainsburys over here, sadly I had already bought the lex less game else were, so had to get him off ebay. Hope I don't have to do that for the Patriot.

Have hey ever gotten any licensed female figures head or face to actually look like the actress? I can't think of one that doesn't seem at a minimum somewhat off? With the worst of them being in the Super Hero lines.

Im not sure if anyone has brought this up all ready, but do you think we will see at least 3 sets from the Wolverine movie coming out this summer? Perhaps well see some at comic con.......

The movie is owned by and made by fox not marvel/Disney. So Lego hasn't got rights to make sets based on the film so no. Unless they enter a deal with fox which I don't think would work with the current marvel superheroes line as that is all marvel/Disney, Lego cannot make sets based on any of the x-men films which are all fox. They cannot make sets based on the 2 and future fantastic 4 movies but comic based f4 sets they can make same with x-men just no lines based on the movies that fox own.

Lego has been in negotiations with Fox for a theme. Many think it is the Simpsons, but there is a possible chance it can be the Wolverine movie, as well as the ther X-Men movie and Fantastic Four reboot next year. Plus I recall someone saying in here that there was a rumor flying around of more X-Men sets this fall.

If so I want another Deadpool! I also think Fantastic Four would be an amazing idea since they have models In-game of their characters from Marvel Superheroes. Maybe in every set with human torch have a normal and Transparent fire version? Maybe not transparent but Orange and red swirl!

Yeah could be. I was simply stating that as of now what we know is Lego can only make comic based sets of the F4 and X-men as fox own the licenses for the movies. This could change however a fox deal could work quite well. Either way a F4 set would really go very well with the doom we've been given. You never know they may guest star in ultimate Spiderman in the future so we may get the figures at least or Spidey may go to the Baxter building you never know..

Yeah I know. In all honesty, I'd prefer comic based sets rather than movies.

I agree 100%. I wish that TLG would ONLY make sets based on comics. I know that will never happen since they just use the popularity of the movies to sell sets, and then they use their "comic book" license to work as a loophole so that they can make popular characters that have been in movies that Marvel doesn't currently own.

Yes, like a set with wolverine, silver samurai, lady death strike and a dojo that looks suspiciously like it was pulled from a movie scene or a version of a comic. (Cue chopper showdown)

I like the movie themes as I like the movies and if it has a strong Lego line I usually see the movie. They do a really good job on comic and movie themes. I just wish they had got the license for GI Joe Retaliation as that was a really cool film and a Lego line for that would have been immensely popular same with star trek into darkness but sadly kreo  which sickens me to talk about it got it as GI Joe is Hasbro and paramount (who own star trek) don't really care which brand does their lines e.g. star trek as long as someone will do them. On subject though I like both comic and movie lines. :sweet:

Arwen (LOTR) is pretty accurate. So is Tauriel. (Hobbit)

Hasbro -owns- GI Joe. They wouldn't pay money to another toy company (who is a competitor) to make their toys when they can do it themselves. Paramount pretty much has no say in it.

I was talking about into darkness when I mentioned paramount. I did acknowledge that Hasbro owns the franchise GI Joe.

There has been a rumor floating around for years that some Lucasfilms licenses have non compete clauses with terms or language that specifically prevent the license holder from taking on certain "directly competing" licenses. In other words the Star Wars license might have prevented or discouraged Lego from going after a Star Trek license. (Although this may have softened in recent years. I think Hasbro and Revell have finally been allowed to have both very recently.) it's also just as likely that TLG would opt not to take on a ST license because it would directly compete with their existing product line and not necessarily grow the purchaser base.

Weirdly the fact that Hasbro is the actual owner of the IP might not be an absolute exclusion. While it seems like it really should be, wasn't there a story going around that Hasbro actually approached Lego about making a Transformers line, and didn't resort to Kree-O until Lego declined?

Has it been confirmed that Lego is getting sets from the next Spider-Man film? This might just be wishful thinking on my part, but given how horribly Sony has done this summer there may be a path to Marvel Disney getting at least some elements of the SM license back from Sony if they throw enough money at it. SONY is almost to the place Marvel was at when they sold the license to Sony years ago. Which would be great for us, as we might see some live action based SM sets.

I just started playing DC Batman 2 on xbox and it is quite fun. But I'd love to see Acrobat Robin sometime. I don't see why they would make him. I was surprised to see they made the electricity suit Batman for that book.
