Hulk_Smash Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Hopefully the batboat is bigger than that. The rumored price is €26.99. :( The pic probably made it look smaller then it actually is. Quote
CBMM1 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 All he gave was his permission for likeness, there was no agreement to portray him in films. But like he would ever turn it down anyway. :p Actually Omi is correct Sam gave his permission on account that he could play him in the future movies. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I don't mean to be rude, but could the people asking Hulk_Smash questions please take it to PM? I don't mean to mini-mod, but it's kind spamming the thread. Quote

While I think they could ask all their questions at once instead of drawing them out into dozens of posts, it's on topic. Otherwise I would have stopped it myself. Quote

I wouldn't think Hulk_Smash's info is irrelevant, though. I'm personally pleased to follow the conversation and pick up on what he has to say. At any rate, he's a more reliable source than people simply speculating at what sets we might see. Quote

(Batboat set, Chase with tumbler, Mission at daily bugle and Hunting with spider cycle.) Although he said there was a car, they could've changed it since he saw it. BrickG Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Why the heck does Spiderman need a Motorcycle? And where would he stash it? He doesn't have a cave. Someone is going to notice if Spiderman continually drives out of Peter Parker's house. Quote
Oky Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 He "stashes" it on the Helicarrier. I suggest watching the cartoon in order to understand the sets. Quote
Santaduckz Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm getting so impatient for new news!!! There better be something great at NYCC! Quote

Sam892 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 But... it sucks! :( Rest in peace Spectacular Spiderman... This isn't the first time Spider-man has been given vehicles. In the comics he got the Spider-buggy. While I would prefer Sets based on the comics I don't have any thing against Ultimate Spidey. I enjoy the show and watch it every week, plus the show has given us a great gift in the fact we are getting lots of great marvel figures we most likely wouldn't get. This show reminds me a little of the old 90's TV show in the fact that its not just Spidey's rouges he fights. Which again is great its given us Dr Doom, the character that inspired Darth Vader. Although USM isn't as good as the 90's shows. Quote

It brings in a lot of characters that would could eventually see in LEGO form so I'm hoping that ratings gather pace and they renew it for a third season. I'm hoping that if Xmen sets aren't forthcoming then it could provide us with Juggernaut and maybe Sabretooth. There must be sets planned for Luke Cage and White tiger at some point. Quote

Well i'm sorry to say this but I don't think X-men will be out in a while more likely winter 2014 (December 2013), that's only if all the man of steel and iron man 3 sets come out in summer 2013 ,Which they are right? 100th Post!!!!!!!!! Everyone, the new Spidey cartoon continues to get a bad wrap on here, but it is pretty good. It has gotten my kids into Spidey and his friends. And my 5 yo now pretends that she is a superhero in training - she even reports to Nick Fury. Seconded! I was critical at first but the kids love it and actually I find it quite funny too. Spider-Man Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 And maybe there could be a Friends tie-in with Mary Jane and Ava (White Tiger) If TLG did this rather than just making regular minifigures for them they would never hear the end of it. Friends already gets a bad rep from people, and if they took female superheroes and only made them in Friends mini-doll form A LOT of people would get very upset (including me )! Quote

Well I'm convinced there's another Marvel set to be announced. There's still the Arkham set to be shown off which will give an uneven balance to the number of sets. Plus I doubt that Marvel will let DC have an extra set, and the Chopper showdown sold pretty well this year. In my local area I managed to get it day one with the cosmic cube escape, but since then as soon as its on shelves it seems to go again. It's kind of strange given that until recently the it was the only non Avengers Marvel set. I can't see LEGO not producing a X-men follow up. I'm sure I've already mention this before somewhere but I can't remember where . Also all the Man Of Steel and Iron-man sets should come out this year. It wouldn't surprise me if in the 2014 winter sets, that if we're following this year as a template we will get 1 or 2 Thor: The Dark World sets with a mix of Spider-man, DC and X-men. Followed in the summer by Captain America, Ant-man and maybe a couple more comic sets. But it's too early to think about 2014 yet . Quote
Spider-Man Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Sorry, that was a very bad joke. Maybe it was a good joke since I bought it? Back on topic though, whats the chance that the Spider-Cycle will be red and blue, as apposed to black/gray like it is in the cartoon? Quote

Back on topic though, whats the chance that the Spider-Cycle will be red and blue, as apposed to black/gray like it is in the cartoon? Hmm I would say most likely as LEGO like changing colours in Marvel sets. The shield fighter jets in the Avengers film was grey and the Jeeps were black. In the sets there Dark blue, so I think it's possible as LEGO try to keep completely Grey vehicles only in Star Wars. I don't mind either way I most likely won't use it at all hopefully Nick Fury will come with a cool car or maybe a Jet pack? I'm also guessing the Spider-cycle will be similar in size to the Bat bike in the Batcave and Funhouse sets. Quote
coolguy2323 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm surprised that both The Bat and The Tumbler are in the same set. Pleasedd, but surprised, as that sounds too good to be true. I wish LEGO would make more sets based on the Dark Knight Trilogy. Quote

BrickG Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I still don't see the point of it! He can go pretty freakin' fast just slinging. Fast enough to catch up to cars. Plus he can cut through buildings and doesn't have to stick to the streets. He doesn't have to contend with New York traffic, with that cycle he does... It's not like there are a lot of open roads to take advantage of a motorcycle's speed around those parts. Quote

But it can also climb walls, Nick Fury gave him the bike when he joined S.H.I.E.L.D. The bike doesn't feature a lot and has only been in a couple of Episodes, Spidey mainly travels by web still. But the Bike will attract more kids. Quote
Spider-Man Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Actully the bike has webshooters in it so he can go from building to building, and can also drive on buildings. Exactly! It helps Spidey save web fluid for when he really needs it. Web fluid is expensive! Quote
