BAmaster1 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I don't really see why people with the 159.99 price point are complaining. I know it's expensive, but I believe it has a little over 1,600 pieces, so the price per piece is pretty good. Much better than some other sets. Quote
deskp Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Could anyone else see TLG using those new cape pieces from the Chima theme for Thor? It looks a lot like his cape. No not at all, its so far from what Thor looks like. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Has anyone noticed that the Batboat has disc shooters, finally have Lego got rid of flick fire missiles? lolno. Just because flick fire missiles exist (and are quite good IMO, since they are generally inconspicuous and don't need any kind of bulky mechanism) doesn't mean that TLG isn't going to let themselves use other features for variety's sake when it's not a huge additional expense. Flick-fire missiles appear in next year's Hero Factory sets, Chima sets, and Star Wars sets. Quote
KZB Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Welcome everyone! c: I must say the bat vs tumbler set was the one I was waiting the most and beside the great minifigures, I'm a little bit disappointed - so much that I decided to make my own version and it seems that I'm going to skip this set. You can check my MOC here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/344342 For me the best 2013 is so far the smaller spidey set. You can't go wrong with it, all the minifigs are perfect, design of vehicles is great and there're a lot of great pieces for mocs (batpod, delorean). For me it's definetly must buy Quote
Spider-Man Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 For me the best 2013 is so far the smaller spidey set. You can't go wrong with it, all the minifigs are perfect Welcome to Eurobricks I do like the figures, but I wouldn't exactly call them perfect Spidey could definitely be improved with arm printing and boot printing, but nonetheless the figures are still good and I do really like the design for the Spider-Cycle! Sam892 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Welcome to Eurobricks I do like the figures, but I wouldn't exactly call them perfect Spidey could definitely be improved with arm printing and boot printing, but nonetheless the figures are still good and I do really like the design for the Spider-Cycle! I think just the boot printing on Spidey would make him a lot better. He's just got too much blue on him. Maybe the 360 head print aswell. In terms of colours he should have the darker blue, that way he would be a lot closer to the cartoon. Out of all the Marvel figures there's only three that I think are not as good as they could have been. Black widow, Spider-man and Venom. I feel that Venom could have been better with a unique Mold. Perhaps like how Dogpound looks in the TMNT theme. The other two are good figures but just need a little more adjustments. Maybe and hopefully I will feel better once I see the Venom figure for real. adreva11 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Yay nick furys not in a expensive set yay Quote
KZB Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Maybe the look of the figures could be better (unique mold for venom would be awesome) but I was rather talking about selection of characters. When the venom minifig was revealed for the first time I was almost sure that it'll be in the one of the most expensive marvel set Quote
has a differing opinion Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I disagree with making a new mold for venom, only mac gargan was that big, and the other two became that big when enraged. I'm happy with the way he is, personally. Quote

Breno - bbc Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) I guess they reserved that "you'll buy this somewhat crappy set because of a really cool minifig" honor to Doctor Doom. Yeah man, I agree. This year they made very awesome sets, like 6869 - Quinjet and 6863 - Batwing. We could get nice minifigs and nice sets. For 2013 they were very lazy making us buying awful sets only for the minifigs. The experience after getting the set is very bad when this happen! Shame on them. I really, really liked Mr. Freeze's and Nick Fury's sets though! Edited October 22, 2012 by Breno - bbc Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Well I wouldnt say that next year is a disappointment, the Bat blade set apels to me due to its nice design and cool ( foregive the pun!) mini figures, cant beat Arkham city Mr. Freeze!I am still undiceded if I'm going to get the Bat vs Tumbler set.The spider cycle set is surprisingly like able, probably because of Venom! Lastly the Daily Bugle set is much better then the picture in my head! It seems to have a nice spread of figs, except Nova. Urmpf. Edited October 22, 2012 by Im a brickmaster. Quote
wonkyeye Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Could the exclusive set of this wave be an expansion to Arkham since the set had technic pieces on the back? Quote
just2good Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Could the exclusive set of this wave be an expansion to Arkham since the set had technic pieces on the back? I don't think there will be an exclusive this wave. And plus, it would NOT be an Arkham expansion. Quote

I guess since Arkham is a D2C set we may not get an exclusive, but still what are those technic pins for? Also I saw in the retailers catalogue that it says there will be Iron Man 3 sets in may and Man of Steel man of steel sets in june. Edited October 23, 2012 by wonkyeye Quote
Legoroni Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 ^June sounds good. That means they're around for my birthday. Do you guys think that the Lego Batman 2 movie will come with an exclusive Minifig? If they do, I'm betting either Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern, mainly because they are the only main heroes in the game that don't need new molds, IIRC. Quote

But it will be a not a new Super Hero, but probably a special Batman or Robin. Quote
Legoroni Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 ^Oh yeah, forgot about their other suits. Batman suits would require new molds, unless they just give him a purple belt and a little purple on the wings for the wing suit, so that leaves Robin. Quote
Pumpkin Pie Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 To sum up 2013 LEGO Superheroes go here: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream (Took me less than 2 hours to put together.) BTW half of the video is missing for some reason. I don't why I will try and fix it soon. Does spider have a lighter shade of blue than the last one? Quote
Santaduckz Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Does spider have a lighter shade of blue than the last one? He's the exact same as the 2012 version. But yes, he's lighter than the spider man 2 version :) Quote
DJ Bricks Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Spidey's the same blue as th comic version of Superman. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It most likely will. But it will be a not a new Super Hero, but probably a special Batman or Robin. I can belive that Green Lantern may the figure if there is one. But a Batman or Robin seems likely. Quote

I do, and think it will be Batman in another suit from the game - Sensor Suit, maybe? Could the exclusive set of this wave be an expansion to Arkham since the set had technic pieces on the back? It may come later. The same way the Harry Potter Hogwarts add-on came awhile (I'm not sure how many waves) after the initial big Hogwarts. Quote
strangely Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I gave it some considerable thought and I think that if they were going to give us an exclusive figure it would be Tim Drake. Here's my reasoning. First it's technically a variation of the Robin character and I would bet that Lego would use a main character for an exclusive. Second it would require no new molds, just a few decals and its done. Both cheap to make and an important character in the Batman universe. Quote
