Spider-Man Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 You mean kind of like this set? I think TLG did their best to make that scene already so I doubt we will see anymore sets being made from the past two movies, just like I doubt we will get Iron Man 1 or 2 sets or Thor or Captain America: TFA. TLG did surprise us with this TDKR set so who really knows what they will do at this point? Quote
theflash Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I think the sets will be like this: the tdkr set will have gordon batman and bane and feature some sort of vehicle. mr. freeze's lab will feature batman in a white suit possibly robin, mr freeze and penguin it would have something to "freeze" batman. arkham asylum features batman possibly robin jumpsuit joker harley quinn, scarecrow, poison ivy, and a way for harley to break joker out and scarecrow to get ivy out. and finally aquaman will be either in the exclusive or an unannounced underwater black manta fight. (hopefully) Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 HERE'S A QUESTION: Who did you want most that was NOT a part of the ComicCon reveal?? Like many others, I can easily say I was expecting X-Men and lots of them. And I'm still a bit shocked we didn't get The Flash. He seems to be one of DC's most recognizable heroes after Superman and Batman... Quote

I also want Batgirl and Nightwing. Manbat. We have those wings, and Killer Moth with the S8 Fairy's wings. -Sci If I remember correctly, Killer Moth actually wears a cape, not wings. He only has the wings in the LEGO games. Quote

sologuy369 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Not to be a mod but there is a thread already for wanted minifigures. Here. Quote
jonwil Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 My wishlist: Professor X (in wheelchair) Gambit (would be interesting to see if LEGO did more with his cards than just some printed 1 x 2 tiles) Green Lantern Clock King Riddler (I own the original Arkham set but a new Riddler could be good if its done right by TLG) Invisible Woman Mr Fantastic Human Torch Thing Uncle Sam Gentleman Ghost Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 This thread is not for listing personal wishlists of either sets or characters. There are separate threads for those things. This is for news and discussion about what we're actually getting next year. Please stay on topic. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Now that we know we won't be seeing any sets from SDCC, when do you think the sets will be revealed? Will they be revealed at New York Comic Con, or earlier? I forgot when they were revealed last year. Quote
Sam892 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm gonna guess that the secret exculsive set this year will be an X-men set. Probably about the same size as the Funhouse. Wondering just how many sets we will get in the first wave. I'm starting to think that the seven Ultimate Spoder-man figures will make up three sets. Spidey in each with two exculsive characters in each. Quote
rakky Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 To whoever was talking about how they are annoyted they are not releasing a cat woman from TDKR, these are clearly not all the minifigures that will be released, as combined they would make very few sets and who would Aquaman fight? I'm sure these are just a taster of what is to come. Can't wait to make a castle for doom :) Quote

I'm sure these are just a taster of what is to come. Can't wait to make a castle for doom :) I'm not so sure about this. That's what I thought originally as well, but it could make just as much sense that this is it (barring possible 'hard to find' sets), making it about seven total Superhero sets for this wave, split between Marvel and DC. Aquaman and Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze in a set seems reasonable. Quote

I can't see what more they could change to have it a DKR version . Boy, are we spoiled . Quote
Sam892 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 It would be interesting to see how they would make TDKR Catwoman. Her hair would be quite tricky as in the trailers it looks like her mask sits on top and creates the cat ears. I assume the reversible head would have a normal side and a masked side... Unless the ears are hinged on the head to move up and down. Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Although I like to see the Super Heroes in LEGO, I'm not really impressed with most of the design of the characters. In particular: - Dr. Doom: doesn't has that iron mask feeling due the emotion = grin on a IRON mask ? - Venom: too detailed on the teeth = by using gum the essence of the big sharp teeth goes a bit away ! - The Penguin: doesn't looks like him = looks like the Penguin in his childhood. Secondary, too many different execution styles in one line (it looks like the decoration is made by 3-4 designers): - different stroke thickness from character to character. - different anatomy from character to character. - different level of detail from character to character. - perspective on some and non on others (in particular the belts). Sorry there is no alignment Quote
kermit Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) With the new batman sets to be based on the new movie I wonder if the tumbler might be in camouflage colours like in the movie considering lego`s policy concerning military sets. Edited July 16, 2012 by kermit Quote
Pulp Detective Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Expect from batman l'm not a big dc character expert but l hope lego will make Green Arrow(hodded version) because he looks cool, and since there will be a television series about him this fall(l think) l hope lego will make something simiral. They may be able to get away with it since it falls under a licensed theme. Its not like Lego had any problem releasing Princess Leia and the Endor troops in military camo, or the Russian/German army in the Indiana Jones line. Edited July 16, 2012 by wesker Quote
Aanchir Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 They may be able to get away with it since it falls under a licensed theme. Its not like Lego had any problem releasing Princess Leia and the Endor troops in military camo, or the Russian/German army in the Indiana Jones line. Really, TLG has relaxed their anti-military policy a great deal over the past several decades. There was a time when they avoided putting basic bricks in gray or green into sets so that kids wouldn't use pieces in their collection to build military models of their own design! Contrast that with today, TLG having just this year introduced an Olive Green color. A couple years back TLG put their anti-war/military policy on the books for the first time. Previously, it had been an "unwritten rule". A summary of this policy can be read here. Suffice it to say, having this policy in writing will allow TLG to skirt the boundary they have set for themselves as close as possible without risking a "slippery slope" effect. As such, I highly doubt they will hesitate to do things like camouflage due to this policy. They're far more likely to avoid camouflage in sets due to the complexity of realizing it without complex printing or large stickers. Quote
Piranha Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 With the new batman sets to be based on the new movie I wonder if the tumbler might be in camouflage colours like in the movie considering lego`s policy concerning military sets. I myself am hoping for the Bat-tumbler in black again. I don't think there would be a problem to have it in camo. I think it counts as more of a fantasy military vehicle. EDIT: I was reading the Brickset Forum and came across this: Employee at the Lego store in Dallas on Friday I was talking to said he had seen a sneak peek at the upcoming Dark Knight Rises set which will be a Camo Tumbler coming out in December. I know you have to take that with a grain of salt but now that the camo DKR bane fig is on display it gives a lot more credence to his story. I sure hope he is right! Oh I forgot in my haste to post that he said Batman has his new flying vehicle opposite Bane and the Tumbler. Makes sense as that gives the set more playability with the good and bad sides, I sure hope he is right, I will be disappointed if we don't see those as Lego sets. I am still sad about not picking up the last Tumbler Source If that proves true, it would be a fairly large set $80 range maybe? Hopefully that means the Arkham set would be even bigger in the $130 range. Similar pricing for the two large LOTR sets they released this summer. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Bane's tumbler and The Bat......SOLD ! Fingers crossed for it to be true. Quote
