July 16, 201212 yr Author Somewhat, it's just extremely scaled down, even compared to the minifigures. Like it's maybe 1/10 or even 1/20 the size it should be compared to the minifigures, but that's to be expected considering Helm's Deep is massive and to build it anywhere near scale (with the minifigs) would cost like 400 dollars for the set.
July 16, 201212 yr A minifig scale Deeping Wall would be close to 40 bricks high. Using the Uruk-Hai Army set I have been working on a section that is about 30 bricks high, which is taller than the Horn of Helm Hammerhand. I keep altering it though as I don't like bits and want it taller, so may just try make it completely in minifig scale. It will also need to be 8-10 studs deep so you can have an army based at the top.

July 17, 201212 yr This is more to the size I am considering, but it is still some 10 bricks short heightwise and I haven't made it wide enough for an army to stand on.
July 17, 201212 yr Author Impressive! How many Uruk-hai Army sets did it take you to get it that high anyways, it looks like five or so? To build a wall like that all across would take like 15 Uruk-hai Army sets and that's not even including the pieces it would require to raise the actual keep part of Helm's Deep!

I couldn't honestly tell you, but I suspect it is 5. I had all the parts from 15 Uruk-hai sets in a box. It was made more difficult by not using the green sections as it went higher. Looking at pics of Helm's Deep, the bulge is further towards the Keep anyway, so if the right hand wall is obscure then I will use the green bricks and hide them that way. And I imagine it will take alot more than 15 Uruk-hai sets!
July 17, 201212 yr Author Ya, I just saw your other thread and the pictures of your army where you had 3 walls across. I was figuring 3 across and 5 high so 3x5=15. Really though, if you are trying to make it as to scale as possible with the minifigs and as authentic as possible you would prolly need it 8-10 wide and 5 high so like 40-50 Uruk-hai Army sets!
July 17, 201212 yr That looks fantastic! Sadly I will have to get every lotr set once, before buying multiple uruk hai army's. Edited July 17, 201212 yr by Captain Settle
July 17, 201212 yr Holy smokes Deathleech! Your Helm's Deep looks excellent. I guess there's benifits to collecting only one theme. Still, I'm focusing on LOTR, Star Wars, and Superheroes (and whatever themes like Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones pop up). More expensive, yes, but they're too good to pass up!
