drakmin Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) Today I started a new model. I'll build it mainly using light bluish grey Technic parts. Here's a first sketch to plan Bricklink order: Edited December 18, 2017 by drakmin topic updated, tags corrected Quote
purpleparadox Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Neat project. I quite like the prototype/sketch. I'll be following this with interest. Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Good to see you building another Technic MOC. It looks pretty good so far, can't wait to see this finished. Quote
drakmin Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Started building the inner structure which keeps the ship straight :) Edited November 28, 2012 by drakmin Quote
prateek Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm excited to see this progress, but the sketch/frame looks good as is! Quote
The Blue Brick Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I love this. The first picture looked like an abstract piece of art which I really enjoy. I also will be following this topic. Quote
mortesv Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm intrigued! At 120 cm you'll be using a lot of technic bricks I really like your snowspeeder, so I have high hopes for this one Any reason you chose to make it 120cm - other than being crazy big - the ship is very wide you know? Finally, what mechanism are you planning for the wings? Keep bricking Quote
Aeroeza Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Damn I am so looking forward to seeing this develop!! Ambitious stuff!!! Quote
Mr Man Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 But it looks so good now , this will be fantastic. Quote
deanorth Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 seeing what you did with the snowspeeder, I'm indeed looking forward to the Xwing. Quote
Darth Dino Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Hi typical i dislike WIP topics because most of them will not be updated or finished at all. But with your amazing SC tank you have shown how are good and entertaining WIP should look like. Additional to that your work on Technic is great and is finished in greater MOCs. Dino Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Cool frame, do you plan to only use Technic pieces? Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Usually, I don't much care for technic projects, but your's are an exception. I'll be following this thread! Quote
Wedge09 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Great!!! I will follow this project with interest; if you add this project to CUUSO I support it Quote
drakmin Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Sketching outer frame. First version of wing mechanism added. Edited November 28, 2012 by drakmin Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm surely wrong, but aren't the wing a little too wide? Quote
drakmin Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 According to my blueprints wings are correct. Grey plated area is the width of the motors and laser cannon are placed on top and below of wings. This will make them appear narrower :) Anyway this is at sketch stage at the moment. Quote
legomr Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Exciting project. Would love to see further updates of work in progress. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Beautiful start ...but watch out ...don't consume all the pieces of bricklink! Quote
Ceroknight Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 This will be very interesting to watch the progress. Can't wait to see more and keep up the good work! Quote
