Scouty Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Thread title says it all, who are the musicians here on Eurobricks? List your instrument. How long you've been playing. Any organizatons (orcheastra, school, ect.) you are currently play in. (The following are Optional) And if so, any previous instruments you've ever played. The size of your instrument. Here I go. Instrument: Violincello How Long Have I Played: Roughly over two years now Organizations:EPYO Previous Instruments: The Violin. If I didn't play that for about 5 years, I'd have chosen the cello and played it for 8/10 years now :-) . Size: For the violincello: 4/4 or full size. If I ever get a chance, I might get a 7/8 size. So, who else :-) . Also, if anything musical wants to be conversed, put it here! (I.E. pieces of work, composers, ect) Quote
captaintau Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 The size of your instrument. That's a bit personal OK: Instrument: Eb Tuba How Long Have I Played: About two years. Maybe three Organizations:Tenbury Teme Valley Band Previous Instruments: None Got grade one this year. Aiming for Grade two early next year. The story behind this is that I've been doimg Martial Arts for many years, whereas my other half has been learning music for many years. She's grade five in several instruments. So I finished Uni and moved bakc home, the deal was I took up music and she took up Martial Arts. She's actually doing far better, having reached Blue Belt in Jujitsu and Red Belt in Kickboxing. Methinks another thread might be in order Quote
ghoulrealm Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 OK... here I go! Instrument: keyboard/synthesizer/organ, banjo, pan flute, irish tin wistle, native armerican cedar flute, shakuhachi, pan flute. I also have an alto sax, bugle, jaw harp, cactus rain maker, conch shell horn, and a little experience with guitar. How Long Have I Played: In middle school I played the viola and trombone but not much after that. I have the most experience with the synthesizer(20+ years) and cedar flute(12 years), but I think my favorite is the shakuhachi(5years). It is quite difficult to master. Size: shakuhachi(bass A tuning), 88 key roland keyboard, the cedar flutes are all different -around middle range D I was never much on bands, especially school bands, because they almost never play the music I enjoy. The main reason for my first internet computer was for midi files. It is an excelent way to learn songs for piano. Quote
Jipay Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Instrument: guitar How Long Have I Played: some years with some pauses Quote
Hobbes Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 The size of your instrument. That's a bit personal :-D :-D :-D I used to play the recorder when I was a kid (no, not that one - that one). Quit after a year or so, though. Sometimes I regret it cos according to my teacher I wasn't that bad and could have switched to another instrument later (preferrably piano) but what does a kid know... Quote

Hobbes Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 A flute's more like this. As for American Pie: is that a movie or something? ................................. Quote

Aredhel Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I played the recorder since I was 6. At the age of 11 or so I started playing the keyboard, but stopped it 4 years ago because there was not time anymore. For about 4 or 5 years I sang in a school choir! -Aredhel Quote
oo7 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 As soon as I saw this title I instantly new who made this topic. Which was a while ago, I've been pretty busy lately, too busy. Anyway, I am currently playing the Cello, a 3/4 of full size (I have one at home and a wide selection at school). I used to take piano lessons after school but I had to stop as I had more important things to do (posting here not being one of them). Quote
