I would like to see a decoration introduced to the latest and future versions of LDD. Its a decoration for a sloped brick. This decoration was previously available year 2010 / 2011, not sure why it got removed, however I have seen numerous requests for the part in various other Eurobricks forums.

It would be of useful benefit to those people who do both digital pirate and medieval builds as it transfers nicely across the two themes.

+ It would be of great benefit to me as this is a digital minifig I am trying to rebuild. I have everything except the decoration, also thanks to the person who started a decorations thread +

The references are as follows:

For what it's worth, I'd like to add my vote for the classic space parts. I was building the Robot Command Center today, and realizing how many printed parts it uses...

I agree with you absolutely - Space Classic decorations are must!

Posting with absolutely no hope of ever seeing this (seeing as none of the decorations anyone has requested have shown up), but I wish there were more Minifig decals that used the flesh color skin tone. I always build my minifigs with varying skin tones, but since more than half of the available decals have bright yellow Lego person skin on them, I can't use them. And not using them means I can basically build a couple policemen, a construction worker, and Darth Vader and Padmé.

Quite frankly, I'm so frustrated with the number of things Lego has insisted on leaving out for YEARS that I went online looking for people giving ways to put in your own decals into LDD, but apparently that's banned here (why I have no idea, this site isn't a subsidiary of Lego and moreover it's the biggest place and thus the most likely to be helpful with this).

You can read the reason in the Section Rules, one of the pinned topic in this section: add decals to LDD means the hacking of the software, violating its license.

Just out of curiosity: Does that include manually applying a deco that is in LDD to a brick that it wouldn't normally be used with?

Editing an lxfml file, you can add every decoration available in LDD to every brick that supports decorations.

^ Yes, I know the technique - I've been using it quite a bit recently. I just wasn't sure about the board's stance on discussing it.

Oops, I had lost the train of thought!

There is no problem about that, you can do with the lxf file what you want.

The problems arise when you try to access the protected database of LDD.

I've been looking for ages but cannot find out how to extract LDD's files, or even which files to use. Can anybody link me to a topic on how to do that?

An .LXF file is basically a renamed .ZIP file. You can rename the file extension to allow the "IMAGE100.lxfml" to be extracted, or open the .LXFs directly with something like WinRAR or 7zip.

I would really appreciate new prints for minifigure parts, including chests (back/front), heads (b/f), legs, helmets, items, and so on.

I work much in LDD for personal use, and I could use all the Star Wars prints, for example.

Here are two decos of the Mini Upper Part I would like to have in LDD. I tried to find them in LDD Extended recently and apparantly both of them are not yet present. First, the Chef's uniform found in Set 8398 BBQ Stand (Link to brick: http://brickset.com/parts/4275540).

Second, I tried to find a matching top part for one of the Roof Tile 2x2x2/65 DEG. (Part 3678), and eventually, this page revealed to me that it was part of the Market woman's black and dark green dress from the Fantasy Era set 10193 Medieval Market Village. This time, the lower half of the dress is found in LDD (in both regular and extended mode), but I struggled to find the top half (you know how small the images of all the designs are!), which is in fact used in six different sets (Link to brick: http://brickset.com/parts/4541064). I'm now reproducing a building and some of the people working there in LDD, and someone asked me to dress her minifigure version in the lower half of that dress, so I either need the upper half or I need to use another design! For the Chef's uniform, I used something similar, but seeing the original one would be nice. If these two decos are in fact already present in LDD, can someone please tell me their locations in the list of designs? Thank you for everyone's attention!

Other than the two missing Mini Upper Parts I mentioned in the post above, this page mentioned above actually reveals that only some of the dress designs are completely featured in LDD, where you can find a matching Mini Upper Part and a Mini Lower Part. Two examples of this include the Admiral's Daughter's white dress from one of the the Pirates II sets and the Bride's white dress from Series 7 of the Collectable LEGO Minifigures. What I later found is that we can sometimes only find half of the different dresses in LDD, either the upper half or the lower half! I know that it's hard for LDD to include ALL of the complete dress designs, so can LDD at least be updated to include the missing upper halves or lower halves of existing dress designs? Thank you for everyone's attention!
