Man, I'm happy I got up early to order: both The Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge (as well as Lond Escape, which I had strongly considered getting as well) are now sold out from the webshop. So are half of the Monster Hunters theme and about 2/3 of the Friends theme. Surprisingly to me, however, none of the LOTR sets are sold out (yet).

I may visit their physical store next week to see if they put any remaining POTC sets on clearance.

Hive,

What experience do you have in regards to clearance sales in Bilka and Dansk Supermarket in generel? When? How much?

I am currently working on a restraining order on Bilka in Fields, in order to save my VISA card from getting maxed out :)

Well I have experienced their 40 % sale on all LEGO before, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread it's a yearly occurance around this time.

Other than that, they seem to have a habbit of putting clearance themes on 50 % off just before New Year. My local Føtex (part of the same chain) even had clearance themes on between 50-75 % a couple of months ago, way ahead of anyone else! Sad part was that they don't really have a lot of LEGO, so the selection wasn't great. But I would not be surprised if Bilka does the same thing with clearance items they fail to sell during the sale. Though I don't know if it'll be nationwide or just individual stores, as was the case with my Føtex.

I only very rarely buy LEGO at less than 40 % off (and obviously prefer 50 % or more). In fact, only some select collectible minifigures I really wanted or old sets that have long since gone from shelves do I buy at higher costs than that. So if you don't have to get new sets straight away when they are released, my advice is to wait for at least a 40 % sale - or, if you are willing to risk the sets being sold out, a clearance sale.

I made some real good buyes here. Ended up with an total at app 2100 € of Lego.

It was fun to see the enourmus amount of Lego with nice prices.

I've ended up ordering another Finn Mcmissile from their website (and I know that seems strange, but I need the specific parts for a minifig S5 stand). I accidentally grabbed one of those blue Maters instead of one when I was at the store.

I also threw in a bunch of S7 minifigs with the order, since the ones I got at the store didn't complete my collection completely.

My oh my, that's a lot of LEGO! What did you get?

I really wish I had money to buy more than the two ships I got, but eh... such is life sometimes. I'll have to wait with LOTR sets for next year's sale. And hope that POTC goes on clearance.

Not exactly 40 % off, but Bilka has 25 % off all LEGO atm - with a few discontinued sets going for less than half price! I got myself the Creator Log Cabin on their website for only 112 kr., quite a bargain. It has some good bricks.

But more interestingly, Bilka has for a while put a far-below-MSRP price on Helm's Deep at 779,40 kr. Which is lower than both The Mines of Moria and The Gobling King Battle! So with 25 % off, I got Helm's Deep for only 584,55 kr.! A very pleasing purchase, especially since most shops in Denmark seems to sell it for 1299 kr.!

They also have POTC sets at less than 50 % of their regular prices, although they only have 3 sets left - of which the most interesting one is sold out in their webpage... but maybe the physical stores have a better selection.

I have had some communications with Bilka around tings in there web/physical store.

If you call them they can help you with the info about what store that has your set in stock.

If you are going Lego shoping at Bilka i suggest the Ishöj store because they have the largest Lego line up and stock of all Bilkas.

The sale is back this year starting from tomorrow and 10 days forward - but not at 40 % as usual, but only 35 % this time. I'm pretty dissapointed, and will have to re-consider my planned purchases...

At any rate, here's a head's up for anyone near a Bilka!
