purpleparadox Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Well, we (Canada) have got another medal...silver in rowing! Let's keep it up! Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Us here in The UK finallly have a gold, and we get 2 at once. All hail Bradley Wiggins, greatest British Olympian medal wise! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Second silver medal for Mexico in diving Which is as good as Gold when you're diving against the Chinese. I must say, I didn't expect the Mexicans to dive so well. (not that I think they dive badly, I had just never seen them dive before) Did they medal in diving in Beijing? I don't remember. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 May the Lord praise Bradley Wiggins and his awesome sideburns! Quote
Jimbobulus Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Us here in The UK finallly have a gold, and we get 2 at once. All hail Bradley Wiggins, greatest British Olympian medal wise! ....until Sir Chris wins today and beats Wiggos record! Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Massive congratulations to Anthony Ogogo and Gemma Gibbons, who both took victory from the World Champions in their respective sports. Good job and good luck in the final! Quote
Mr Man Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Gold in the boat thing (I'm down with sport aren't I ), but only Mr Sideburns gets headlines . Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 2 More golds ( Shooting and Canoeing.) for team GB. And an Olympic Record in Men's Team Sprint. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Another two medals for Mexico, one silver and one bronze in Individual female archery. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Another gold and a bronze for Team GB, putting us up to 4th place in the medal table! Quote
Masked Builder Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 The US is tied with China for Gold medals now, wow. I enjoyed the white-water. Quote
Jimbobulus Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Katarina Johnson Thompson Ben Ainslie: "They've made a big mistake, They've made me angry and you don't want to make me angry." Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) Katarina Johnson Thompson Ben Ainslie: "They've made a big mistake, They've made me angry and you don't want to make me angry." With Ainslie, the Hulk-esque speech would have been alright and quite amusing, if he hadn't have lost to the very person he was angry at. I need to learn to read, it seems that Ben's mean and green-ness did get him victory after all. And another two golds for GB, both in the Velodrome! We're now in third place! Mr Man Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 And another two golds for GB, both in the Velodrome! We're now in third place! Up from 23rd 2 days ago . Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) Another amazing performance from Jessica Ennis, and Katarina Johnson Thompson too ()! Though I admit I wasn't watching Ennis for most of the race... Edited August 3, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Another amazing performance from Jessica Ennis ( ) , and Katarina Johnson Thompson too ()! Though I admit I wasn't watching Ennis for most of the race... I was watching Ennis more, although the cycling I watched the most. Oh, I fixed your quote. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Wow!!! The cycling GB team is awesome, so many records. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I believe we broke the WR 3 times yesterday, and the same today. Quote
Vindicare Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 US mens basketball killed it yesterday! Wow. Even though they lost, have to give it to New Zealands keeper in football/soccer. Took a knee to the head(Alex Morgan ) and stayed in the game. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Gold gobbles by Team GB in Men's four. EDIT: Plus another gold in the Women's Lightweight Double Skulls. I have hopes for the lovely Jessica Ennis (And Katarina JT! ) later on as well. Edited August 4, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) I hate to double post, but this situation really requires it. A massive cheer and applause (Plus a little ) for Jess Ennis after her outstanding performance accross the heptathalon events, especially the running events which ran her to Olympic gold. I think that her and her awesome collegue Katarina Johnson-Thompson may just about be the best Heptathletes OF ALL TIME. Greg Rutherford was rather good in the Long Jump, winning gold. I admire his concentration, trying to finish one's jump while Miss Ennis is running a victory lap behind you is no mean feat. EDIT: Mo Farah wins gold in the 10 000 metre final! What a performance, he hung on throughout the 25 laps and ran forward to clinch victory in the end! Edited August 4, 2012 by Scorpiox Quote
AwesomeStar Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Come on then! Team GB, absolutely stellar this evening. And Jess Ennis, the golden girl! Quote
Palathadric Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 The States won most of their medels thanks to Phelps. I think it's somewhat unfair that a person invovled in just one kind of sport can win so many medals. Sure there are different styles of swimming, but it is still, to a certain extent, all swimming. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 It could be argued Cycling is just cycling. But I'm British, so I live cycling. Britain had their most golds in one day ever today. Quote
