Shakar Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 The main thing that's driving me to get these is the awesome undead armies you cloud make! You just stole the words from my mouth! One of my biggest concerns about KK was the minifigs distribution: there were so many knights and so few soldiers that the former, at a certain point, became the soldiers themselves. Luckily, here the commanders of the two armies and the other unique minifigs (the King, the Sorcerer, the princess, the human knights, the skeleton knights...) are just what they should be: unique, exclusive to one set. Meanwhile, each set has generous amounts of soldiers from each of the two factions. I'll repeat this: thank you Lego for this awesome line, I'm hoping it will be back in 2008! Oh, Brickster, great avatar and banner duo. :-) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Speaking of which, I love the new avatar and sig. ;-) Oh, Brickster, great avatar and banner duo. :-)[/color][/b] Thanks. I've always been a big fan of spell casters. Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Thanks. I've always been a big fan of spell casters. It reminds me of the latest 3D movie we saw in Legoland last year !! It was great and I loved those MFs !! And we're having something similar !! How exciting !! *yoda* Quote
zero1312 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I dunno, I like the Knights castle best.-ZotS Well, everyone has his/her own favourites. :-D Quote

I would have thought the theme would be out before the film, but it appears that it's the complete opposite in this case. I really like the King's Castle and the Skull Fortress. The evil wizard is awesome! Here's a close-up: Quote

Starwars4J Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well this IS disappointing...I thought those blue lightening bolts were each one a vertical peg...but two connected via a horizontal one? There goes my idea for a fantasy crystal sword :'-( Even modding it will be hard...This severely limits its use |-/ Quote
Hinckley Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well this IS disappointing...I thought those blue lightening bolts were each one a vertical peg...but two connected via a horizontal one? There goes my idea for a fantasy crystal sword :'-( Even modding it will be hard...This severely limits its use |-/ use an xacto miter box and cut it down the middle. You'll have enough of the "peg" left for your sword. Problem solved. *sweet* frown turned upside down. --"that's a smile, not an upside down frown!" Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 --"that's a smile, not an upside down frown!" Exactly :-P Problem is if I cut it down the middle, the peg with be perpendicular to the length of the lightening if inserted into a lightsaber handle (which is what I had planned), or even the black torch pieces. The peg would need to be in line with it to make it viable for a sword. And carving a peg not only would be difficult, but due to the trans nature of ut, stress marks would show all over. Quote
oo7 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I saw it had the perpendicular handle a while ago and when I read your older post I thought you wanted to make a fantasy sword with one of these; This design is also better for the SW Sith Lightning, people have used the blue fire previously, but you have to connect it in an "illegal" way which makes it likely to fall out. There goes my idea for a fantasy crystal sword :'-( Even modding it will be hard...This severely limits its use |-/ If I understand what you mean...well, can't you just use as handle for the sword the Exo Force robot/Dr. Ock mechnical hand like it is shown with the Wizard's staff? I know, it's simple, but it should work....Shakar Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Well it's not so much that I care about the idea for a sword as much as...well, its true shape really cuts down its usefulness to me *wacko* But I appreciate everyone's advice X-D Quote
Shakar Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Something new to bring to this topic! http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...ndpost&p=150036 Try to search for the product codes of the Castle sets.
