Brick Miner Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 i think this theme is doing really well... at least the small sets here in the states. when these were first offered on S@H all sets were available (save 7009). then 7090 went on back order until june 15th. now today, its back order date is pushed back to june 22nd. equally, 7092 is now on back order!!! wow, those are the two sets i want 8- Quote
The Kid Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Finally ordered the 2 smallest sets (Final Joust and Crossbow Attack) last night. Can't wait for them to show up. *sweet* TK Quote
iamded Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I know I'm gonna sound like a n00b, but what's back-order? :-$ Quote
Starwars4J Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) Our friend Athos posted over on Classic-castle a finding! Remember that troll we saw awhile ago? Berry Syedow Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 If this is the direction that TLC is heading then I am delighted! I'm not very supportive of the troll, (unless it will comprise many pieces that can be used for other things as well) but it's still nice to see TLC exploring new directions that don't involve oddly colored knights of valor. I'm excited about the dwarf the most. We all know how under represented midgets are in LEGO sets. ;-) More new helmet designs and more new beards = happier Mr. Syedow = less stingy-with-the-money LEGO-holic. Quote
iamded Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) That dwarf is great! And I actually quite like the troll, I assume he'd be more posable than Rock Raider's 'Rock Monster', and certainly better than the Harry Potter troll. I did not know about the Castle product page until now. It's great, love the desktops. *y* And I found the weapon bio quite interesting. I knew about halberds, but never considered those 'axes' as halberd. I just called them 'the big axes'. And I called the glaives 'chinese spears' as they came from the Chinese part of Orient Expedition. X-D :-P Also, I noticed the part where it's advertising the characters section, it shows a picture of the Captain skeleton. Probably a teaser for people of lesser knowledge than us. :-P Edited June 6, 2007 by iamded Quote
Shakar Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Over S@H the Joust set isn't yet avaiable for some European countries, and that includes mine! I want the Skeleton General and the Crown Knights Gneneral.... Shakar Quote

alex54 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 This castle line seem to have a nice future with those new faction... I would like to collect those new sets, but I'm affraid by the fact to really love them and to have to continue my collection with '08 line and '09 and... And I have to buy so many sets for my city *wacko* This year is really the harder one for me (and my wallet) with LEGO... Quote
iamded Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Over S@H the Joust set isn't yet available for some European countries, and that includes mine! I want the Skeleton General and the Crown Knights General....Shakar The same thing happened to New Zealand. The Final Joust and Skeleton Tower sets weren't available on S@H for NZ, but soon enough there they were. I'm sure the same will happen to where you live. Quote
Shakar Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Indeed, hopefully it's going to happen what you said. Soon enough I'll order some of the Castle sets! Right now I plan to buy 3x Crossbow Attack, one Kinghts' Catapult Defense and one Skeletons' Prison Carriage. Shakar Quote

Khorne Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Dwarves and trolls look nice, Finally new beards and maybe new colour for beards (brown, black, tan) I doubt Lego would make new beards. I think they'd just recolor them :-( . Quote
Starwars4J Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Dwarves and trolls look nice, Finally new beards and maybe new colour for beards (brown, black, tan) Actually, you can get black beards from BL. I have a pair :-P Quote

iamded Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Indeed, hopefully it's going to happen what you said.Soon enough I'll order some of the Castle sets! Right now I plan to buy 3x Crossbow Attack, one Kinghts' Catapult Defense and one Skeletons' Prison Carriage. Shakar Well, you have a decent army right there! I love the way Lego has (whether purposefully or not) made it easy to build up a good army. :-D Quote
Shakar Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Oh, of course it's done purposefully. Lego is going back to its roots....... :'-) So, with that order, I'll have: 3x Crossbow Attack: 3x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 3x soldier with KK broad brim 3x white skeleton 3x undead horse 1x Knights' Catapult Defense: 2x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 1x white skeleton 1x black skeleton 1x Skeletons' Prison Carriage: 1x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 1x knight with grilled hlmet 2x white skeleton 1x black skeleton Total: 6x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 3x soldier with KK broad brim 6x white skeleton 2x black skeleton 1x knight with grilled helmet 6x white undead horse 18 minifigs+6 undead horses=24 minifigs! And that's by spending 44.95 Euro. Amazing. Shakar Quote
iamded Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 So, with that order, I'll have: 3x Crossbow Attack: 3x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 3x soldier with KK broad brim 3x white skeleton 3x undead horse 1x Knights' Catapult Defense: 2x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 1x white skeleton 1x black skeleton 1x Skeletons' Prison Carriage: 1x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 1x knight with grilled hlmet 2x white skeleton 1x black skeleton Total: 6x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 3x soldier with KK broad brim 6x white skeleton 2x black skeleton 1x knight with grilled helmet 6x white undead horse 18 minifigs+6 undead horses=24 minifigs! And that's by spending 44.95 Euro. Amazing. Shakar So I'm not the only one who does that! :-D Don't forget the living horse. :-P I'm planning on getting that, as well as the Skeleton Tower. And with only 1 Crossbow Attack, more if I have extra money. Quote
Shakar Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 True, I did forget the horse. Guess that I'm a bit too biased. *skull* So: 6x soldier with classic neck protector helmet 3x soldier with KK broad brim 6x white skeleton 2x black skeleton 1x knight with grilled helmet 1x reddish brown living horse 6x white undead horse 18 minifigs+7 horses=25 minifigs. Shakar Quote
iamded Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I turned all my KK sets (the latest series) into a newer version of Battle at the Pass. It's gonna have the Skeleton Tower behind it, so as to be part of the skeleton's fortress. And the rest of the pieces are being used in the blacksmith/soda brewer's house/workshop. :-P Just thought I'd share that. Quote
Wout Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I doubt Lego would make new beards. I think they'd just recolor them :-( . Even that would be nice ! :-) Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 This is more than likely old news, but has anyone noticed that the skeletons have a new body, and the new battle-droid arms? I just got the Crossbow set, the Catapult set, and the Prison Carriage. They are awesome. Everything is shiny silver, even the short swords are no longer dark grey. I hope to get more. *wub* Quote
