New 2007 Castle Theme!!

Yes, I'm sorry but many of us ("us" meaning those who are interested in the theme) already knew this. Personally, I love the skeletons, altough I know there are people who disagree with me. In my world the "classic" skeletons are simple corpses, while the new ones with the glowing red eyes are the undead warriors.

Yesterday I ordered the sets I metioned off S@H. I can't wait to receive that stuff....this is one of Lego's best themes ever if you ask me.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the skeletons, Shakar -- for temples, graves, etc., regular limb ones fit the best, while these new ones can be used as undead Pirates / Castle figs. And of course, the old friendly skellie head has a special place in my heart. :-P

Hoping to get the all but the Tower and Castle for my upcoming birthday... already have a Crossbow attack, but with the great figs and weapons, you can't have too many! And that ship... :'-) Castle + Pirates = danged good LEGO.

Now, let's just buy a lot so as to give LEGO the incentive to continue this line in '08! With trolls and dwarves, the future looks brighter than ever.

Agreed! I am seriously planning on getting a job this time, which will be neat, and since I'm 15 I get at least... $2.00 more than I would have last year! :-P Yey.

Hey, it's great to see that you guys agree with me. True, we definately have to buy the sets! Don't forget the Chess, too. Really, did you ever see a 5 Euro set with 3 minifigs and an horse and a 10 Euro set with 4 minifigs? I never saw something like this.

Well, now that I read 10 pages back, I see. :-P Anyways, if 08' brings us trolls and dwarves, I wonder what line it'll be called. The battle of the Hills? Trolls like hills, as do dwarves. Trolls like to be on the outside of the hills, while dwarves prefer the inside. Maybe a mining colony for the dwarves, and some rocky outside for the trolls. Maybe they could be connectable. Like having a set with a dwarf mine shaft on one side, and a troll or two on the other. :-/

I ordered the sets Monday! I received this email:

Dear Name and Surname,

Your LEGO package has left our warehouse and should arrive by 27/06/07

27/6? I ordered it on Monday 11/6! Since when do the sets arrive to my house 16 days after I ordered them? It always took 7 days to me.

EDIT: Wait,it said by 27/6, not on 27/6. This means that at maximum it arrives on 27/6, right?

Yeah, I guess if it normally takes 7 days, it should take 7 days this time. It's no different to any other S@H order.

I saw these sets in Toyworld (like TRU only for NZ) today, man I was gutted! I don't have any money, having bought Rainbow Six 3 recently... I made a thread in general news/discussions for more info.

So anyway, now I know they're there for when I have the money. I need to make a C.V. first, before I can get a job. :-/

Update: I've put in an application for a job. :-D And I've got the Crossbow Attack set and The Final Joust. The crossbow doesn't fire nearly as well as I thought it would, which is a bit of a let-down, but the skeletons and skeleton horses are great, I love it! So I have 2 soldiers, a skeleton, a knight, and a skeleton knight, along with a horse, a skeleton horse and a black skeleton horse. And the 2 new weapons! A taste of the new Castle theme. *sweet*

So, my order has arrived! And everything is great. I love the skellies, they're so creepy! Their new swords and shields look amazing. On the other side there are the Crown Knights, which also rock. The silver equipment looks really good. Regarding the sets themselves, they're excellent. My favourite is the Prison Carriage, it's got a brilliant design.

Heh, no new pics yet, I think we'll have to wait a while. After all we don't absolutely know for sure if the trolls and dwarves will be included. They could be dropped altogether, though I hope not. They look great, especially the dwarf. So I assume we'll have to wait 'till the end of the year, or the beginning of next year until we see some new sets. :-/

At amzon there is written 1st august... but thats strange.. because all are on 1st august! SW on 1st, castle on 1st. , Batman on 1st

Most Castle sets seem to be available on S@H in many European countries already, as well as in some stores. I suggest check local markets or toy stores if there are any in your neighbourhood, or else get them at S@H. :-)

A quick note on the Final Joust -- it appears to be unavailable in at least some countries, including ol' Denmark here, but I found it looking in a local store. So if you're interested in that set, but your S@H doesn't have it yet, just look for it in stores. *sweet* It's a sweet li'l set.

This was one of the first posters out advertising the new castle line.

Did anyone else see those trolls in the corner? I see some people at classic-castle did, when they were discussing the first pics of the dwarves and trolls from Lego's colouring pages. I just noticed it now. :-P Also, the scene I've boxed in green is somewhere on here, I remember someone posting it in better resolution with all these things circled.

iamded, Am I missing something? Sure, I can see the Hill-trolls in the red circles well enough, but what is the point of the green box? What is in it? And it does show 2 trolls, so I think we all can expect more of em'. Btw, the Castle sets are all out already by me, even Mars Mission, but still no SW. Strange.
