trooperdavinfelth Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Looks like you have what I want, but I have what you want, and Mars Mission just kind of hangs in between. :-P Does your TRU have all 7? Or just 5? Or just 3? Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I didn't know where to post this since I didn't want to create a new thread for it so I'll just post it in the general Castle topic ;-) I have noticed that this line used different colours than previously !! Here are 2 examples illustrating this I will start with chrome golden swords: The one in the bottom of the pick is really more golden and comes from either an Orient expedition set or a KK set (sorry, can't remember :-D ) !! The chrome really is more "aggressive" looking than the one from the top which is from the Castle King Siege set The last example is on golden elements: The left plate is from that Aqua Raider Shipwreck set, and the cup is from the Castle King Siege set (like I wrote previously, the perfect carpenter's cup for the holly grail - the cup of Christ) Its a really interesting switch of colors there !! Is the gold from the cup the same color as the new C3-PO ?? I think so. So what do you guys think about those different colors ?? *yoda* Quote
Vader Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Like i said to you the other day *yoda* i think thats a great point, the cup would be perfect for indy. I think its a safe bet to think that if tlc noticed this then thats what we will get, though it would be great to get something new. Quote
Shakar Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 That sword looks disappointing. It looks more like chrome silver. Could you post a pic of the two swords compared to the usual chrome silver one, if you can? Shakar Quote

alex54 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 For the gold objects, the glass is in gold pearl when the plate is gold printed, like the new silver helmets. This is why there are different gold. Quote
iamded Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 The helmets are printed?? I hate those silver swords that are printed. One of my older one's paint stuff has come off and now it's white. :-( Are there any ones with silver plastic, instead of a silver coating? Quote

One of my older one's paint stuff has come off and now it's white. :-( Are there any ones with silver plastic, instead of a silver coating? They're not printed it's an electrostatic process that covers them in the silver coating. The coating is bonded to the plastic in a more permanent way than paint would be. The current process is supposed to be pretty durable, and actually less prone to chipping than the chrome ones. However, I don't think it possible to make it so it won't scrape off with heavy wear. To the best of my knowledge there's no way to make plastic have a bright metallic finish all the way through. The closest you can achieve is the "pearl" silver and gold seen on quite a few bionicle sets as well as the golden batmobile wheels (I can't think of an example of pearl silver in a non-bionicle set). Here is the chrome sword trilogy X-D For the gold objects, the glass is in gold pearl when the plate is gold printed, like the new silver helmets. This is why there are different gold. Bricklinc states that the plate is "Metallic Gold" (its not printed though) whereas the glass is "Pearl Gold" (new C3-PO colour) I should have checked before loooool *yoda* Quote
Shakar Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Thank you, Master *yoda* ! It's annoying, I really wanted a nice gold greatsword. :-/ Shakar Quote
iamded Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 So those swords are 'greatswords'. Duly noted. Anyway, I got Skeleton Tower and Skelton's Prison Carriage laybyed today. Which means soon I'll have all of series 1, not including the castle. I need a job to get that. :-P Quote
Shakar Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Soon I'll have the same collection as yours. Last Tuesday I ordered from S@H the following sets: Skeleton Tower, The Final Joust, Hahli Mahri and Maxilos & Spinax. The most expensive order I ever did. Can't wait to receive the box! *sweet* Great sets, great pieces and great minifigs. Shakar Quote
iamded Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I concur! :-D And I've recently heard of a job opening pushing trolleys round for 7/8 bucks an hour. Not that great, but it'll make getting the Castle a heck of a lot easier. X-D Also, minimum wage is all I'd expect to get for my first job. Quote
Dfenz Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 (edited) Folks, I'm not sure if this has been noticed before so my humble apologies if it has but there seems to be a huge price differential between countries for the Complete Castle Collection on LS@H even within the eurozone. hewkii9 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Just had an idea for 2008 that'd make everyone happy- **** Village Raid $49.99 The skeletons have invaded the village! Help the villagers fight them off, but beware of the skeletal dragon! Use the crossbow mounted on the roof to fight! Includes 2 skeketons, 1 knight, 2 villagers[blue/gold themed clothing], 1 horse, skeleton dragon [like the 07 dragons' skeleton, same joints] and 1 barmaid. 2 buildings- a 2 story inn-bar, 2 tables and shelf on bottom floor, 2 beds and table on top floor. Overhang on the side of the building where there's a pen for the horse. Other building is a broader 1-story barracks, with a rotating crossbow- like in Crossbow Attack- on top. Inside is a bunk bed, 2 barrels for weapons, and vertical-closing shutters with arrow slits and a hook to barricade the door. Quote

Shakar Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hello! I was taking a look again at Lego's Castle 2007 website when I noticed this: The Good King is the wise and noble ruler of the Western Kingdom. This got me thinking...could it be that Lego has in mind a entire fantasy castle world and that in the next years they're going to expand the theme into new factions, such as the Eastern Kingdom, the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom? That'd rock!Shakar Quote
SuvieD Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Good eye. I think that is as good a theory as any. I almost think LEGO is keeping an eye on world of warcraft and trying to find a similar vein with sets. Which in my opinion is no bad thing. Orcs and elves would be great to have. My hope is that with the new dwarves and goblins we could be seeing just that. Quote
hewkii9 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Sounds fine, as long as we don't get a Leeroy Jenkins fig. And Shakar, that sounds pretty interesting. I hope a new faction'll look somewhat like the Haradrim [red and gold, kinda spiderwebbish constructions]. Quote
Shakar Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 (edited) Maybe one of those kingdoms is the Goblins' realm? Anyway, I guess that Eastern kingdom has already been taken...or not... The Evil Wizard rules the barren wasteland to the East from the top of his Skeleton Tower. And there's more! His wicked goal is to conquer the other kingdoms and rule them all with his magic. Kingdoms.Shakar Edited August 5, 2007 by Shakar Quote
Wout Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 This sounds good, 4 lands with all different armours and people. :-) Quote
Shakar Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 (edited) Castle Tic Tac Toe! It's wonderful. 10 good minifigs with acessories (they need shields, however), case and board at 15 Euro. That's not bad. Shakar Edited August 19, 2007 by Shakar Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Castle Tic Tac Toe! I am really disappointed with that !! 15 Quote
