Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well i want some Bionicles sets... :$ But only for a stargate project ! Those small little things looks like the replicators :D Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 I may not want them now, but somehow ill get them. i always do. Did anyone else notice the submarine is dropping depth charges? It looks like it at least. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 The 7016 Vikings set is the squid set...so we either get a squid with a boat or a battering ram with a werewolf. 8-|Ummm, bigbase, could you please rephrase the train metro part? Couldn't really understand it. Correction; these look to be final sets, so we ARE getting the new Viking set, and also, it's not a werewolf, it's a bull. ;) I wish they had replaced the dragon set with the bull set, they're very similar, except for the bull being better than the dragon and the battering ram being better than the 'catapult'. :| Quote
Wolf04 Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well i want some Bionicles sets... :$ But only for a stargate project ! Those small little things looks like the replicators :D Ah another Stargate fan. I watch both Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis and can't wait until they release the game. The thing is that replicators are greyish-blueish, definately not yellow. And hopefully the Battle of Metru Nui doesn't have that one-piece mask. LEGO can easily make one with pieces, why one huge piece that will definately make the set more expensive? Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Well replicators"s color depend on the metal they are made of. Remember in the submarine ? They were grey because they ate terran metal. They were blue because they ate asgard metal before. So why not a yellow metal ? And the last set contains also white things ! *satis* So everything is possible here. i am also a great stargate fan, but i don't watch it while i'm in canada since France already had the new episodes before. ApophisV is also a great fan aswell and if you want to chat about stargate, don't hesitate to contact us ! Im also waiting for the game ! Ive never been disappointed by jowood so far... Quote

Well the thing is, I haven't really followed Stargate until recently. It just seemed boring but Season 7 and now Season 8 brought some crazy action and Atlantis Season 1 is pretty good too. Since I have only cable, they don't show the new episodes, so I always download them. ;) Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 right well now you know that replicators can be from different colors :-D Well i was like you, I started late (even though i saw the movie when it first came out) and then i bought all the old dvd. they are great and shows some important stuff for the background story Quote

So the replicators ate the new 2005 set!!! :D (Huh, so they are really on earth right now!!!! 8-| ) Quote
The Middleman Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 I'm sorry, I thought this was Eurobricks, not Eurogate. ;) Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Well there is only one rule we follow ! We have to be off topic *satis* Quote
The Middleman Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 The Harry Potter boxes now look like this: That's the Hungarian Horntail box. My guess is that by looking at the sizes of the boxes, we can guess their prices. http://www.legomarkabolt.hu/adat/index-2004uj.html There's a link if anyone wants to give it a shot. Last four are the new ones. Quote
Orlego Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 I'm sorry, I thought this was Eurobricks, not Eurogate. ;) Eurogate sounds like another presidential conspiracy. :D ;) Quote
sam89 Posted January 30, 2005 Author Posted January 30, 2005 I haven't actually commented on these sets yet, so I think I will now. Small Racers - They look OK, but I prefer the first wave that came out in January. Other Racers - I don't particularly like the Truck, but the Furious Streetfighter is great. It's a shame there's so many stickers though, with lots of them covering multiple pieces. Tecnhic Enzo - This keeps looking better with every picture I see. Unlike the first pictures we saw of it, it now really does look like an Enzo. I'm not sure whether I'll get it though, I'll probably spend most of my money on Star Wars and Vikings! Underwater Exploration - I don't like it, it's probably my least favourite Designer set Lego have produced. The submarine is just so plain and blocky, and the other things look weird. 7016 Viking set - I think I prefer this set to the one with the boat and the Kracken. I like the Battle Ram, and the bull looks really good. I've got a feeling that this is just the prototype though, and we'll get the Boat as the final set. Hopefully we'll find out at Toy Fair. Bionicle minifig sets - I actually think these are pretty good. The Battle Ram set doesn't look that great, but the other two are OK. The Tower of Toa set (the one with the big orange Bionicle thing shooting at it) looks quite good I think. I won't buy any, but I bet Bionicle fans will love them. One question though, why do these sets get so many minifigs compared to normal sets? Quote
Wolf04 Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Trust me, most Bionicle fans won't like the playsets. I checked out their topic at bzpower and most of them said they don't like them because the sets have too many system pieces and not enough Bionicle pieces. I was furious when I read them. Those people should be banned from buying or receiving LEGO. |:| Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 The question about those set is : does lego wat to bring normal consummer to bionicles, or bionicle consummersto normal set ? I prefer not reading what you red, it would drive me crazy... It sounds like "oh god, we must use our hands to build stuff !" This is the key point of bionicles = lazyness Quote
The Middleman Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Really, I can understand where they're coming from - you buy BIONICLE for BIONICLE and LEGO for LEGO. Mixing and matching makes both parties unhappy. While I agree that BIONICLE is pretty stupid, it makes craploads of money for LEGO, and that's good, so I tolerate it. However, those playsets are ghastly. Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Speak for you :-D *waiting his stargate MOC pieces* Quote
Luigi Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 http://www.legomarkabolt.hu/adat/index-2004uj.html They changed the kraken set by this bull set :( it would better have been the wolf or the catapult set Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Why is it always for kids ? whyyyyyy ? :P Quote
Wolf04 Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Why is it always for kids ? whyyyyyy ? :P ...because Lego is intended to be a kid's toy? Quote
jonfett Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Well, that makes us all big kids then.. we just wanna play with our precious bricks! :P Jon. Quote
tjb tyranno Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Ok, I have a few questions and a few comments... Well, first of all, those Bionicle minifigure sets looks really stupid. The Bionicle minifigs look like droids. They look so skinny!! 1. What website did you get the pics from? 2. Do they have the prices for the KK2 sets? Quote
Jipay Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 What if you read the thread from the very first line.... Quote
