Mini Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Once or twice |-/ I only asked.... Having read through the forums here I haven't seen it. Jesus some people are uptight here. Quote
Jipay Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Don't take it personnaly... It's just that a lot of pople arrived lately so they didn't follow everything before. But you can always check if we've posted before by using the function "search" in the up right corner. And it is street sweeper :) Quote
sam89 Posted January 31, 2005 Author Posted January 31, 2005 1. What website did you get the pics from?2. Do they have the prices for the KK2 sets? Yes, read what jipay said. The first two words tell you what website we got them from. As for the KK2 prices, we don't know yet. Quote
Vader Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Mini you will find that people here are not uptight as you put it, in fact its quite the oppisite. :) Its just that weve seen these pics over and over again and after awhile it does become annoying, anyway im sorry if you felt that i was being harsh with you. Quote
bigbase Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I find the new sets a lot nicely to look forward to. perhaps already someone or there still more city from bowl in the autumn? Quote
ApophisV Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Slightly off-topic: Maybe we should create a section at the main page showing all the pictures we got so far? This would be good because a) people could check if there finds are really new and b) we wouldn't have any troubles with broken images if we link to other sites... Quote
stuifzand Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I'd really like to know if this "new roadplates theory" is verified by someone who speaks hungarian better than I do (that is, any hungarian). So, are these translations found on the first page of this topic done by someone who actually speaks hungarian? I find it highly doubtfull TLC (excuse me, TLG ;)) will bring out some new roadplates. And I've seen my share of Dutch-English translations, that didn't say what was actually written ;-) Quote
The Middleman Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Wow, thanks for your confidence. :| 7281 Hungarian: T kereszteződ Quote
stuifzand Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Wow, thanks for your confidence. :| Euhm, I just wanted to know... people make of these names what they think is right. I've seen the weirdest translations of these 2 lines of Hungarian already... So, you speak hungarian? :) edit: I see you edited your post. I too know how to use a translation machine. And I also know they usually make very, very bad translations. But, I made the same translation using a translationwebsite and my common sense. The only weird thing for me is TLG making new roadplates with new numbers... Quote
The Middleman Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I edited my response. Check again. For future translators, use www.tranexp.com . Quote

tjb tyranno Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 yo those bionicle minifigure sets look really stupid dont you think? look at the bionicle minifigs! Quote
The Middleman Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 See, the reason it makes sense is for two reasons: 1) the new colors 2) the new City Reason 1 - the new grays won't match with the old gray roadplates. Reason 2 - the City baseplates so far are in shades of gray. I don't expect green on the new ones. Green curbs don't fit a 'City' atmosphere. Quote

tjb tyranno Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 hello? nobody listens to me!!!!!!! >:( >:( im double mad since nobody listened to me twice...maybe i shall just go back to gametalk.com! Quote
The Middleman Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 The reason nobody really responded is that there was a discussion on the BIONICLE minifigs earlier in the topic. It was already established that they are good for Stargate MOCs and nothing else. Quote
Kynok Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I heard on BZP that the BIONICLE minifig stuff are actually WAY outdated prototypes. They say that the tall yellow guy is not even going to be in their. I hope they give them more detail. Other than that...I'm just gettin those for the pieces. The other sets look cool too. The RACERS are way cool in my opinion. -BB Quote
The Middleman Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Unless they change the BIONICLE 'minifigs' into multipart figures, I won't buy these without SERIOUS consideration, and even then only for the baseplates/mountain pieces. Quote
Brickmaster Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 upon more ispection or the bionicle minifig sets, i saw the "minifigs" legs and heads were in different positions between the pictures. A question to bionicle fans... are the yellow things supposed to be the new visorak things? Also, is the Green nitro menace car a remote controlled car? Quote
mahjqa Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Also, is the Green nitro menace car a remote controlled car? I have reason to suspect it is. This site has a pricelist that lists the green nitro (8649) at $53, while the (comparable) Maverick monster truck (8651) is only $21, which seems a fairer deal for the piececount. The packaging of the truck mentions that it has a pull-back motor (and that's going to be a HUGE and powerful one if it's to pull this baby), while the green nitro car's packaging doesn't have any info on engines or RC control whatsoever. Weird. I love the green car's design. It may be the sexiest piece of lego vehicle design since 8838. (And that's good. The more little kiddies whining to their parents that they want this car, the better. Lego sales need to go up.) The yellow submarine set doesn't do much for me. I had expected a bit more... solid, innovative design like the previous designer sets. However, like all designer sets, it's a sublime parts pack. Bionicle: NEXT! The small racers seem reasonably nice. Nothing too shocking, but quite tempting nonetheless. Quote
ApophisV Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Anybody noticed that the BURP in one of the Bionicle sets looks like it's multicolored? solid, innovative design like the previous designer sets Hm, in my opinion several designer sets doesn't look very amazing, especially those dealing with planes, cars and other normal vehicles.... Nonetheless they have all a great potential of creativity.... Quote
Jipay Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Well i'm only interrested by the parts of the sets, which stimulate my creativity even if i don't have it in my hands yet ;) *ties ties ties* Quote
Athos Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Anybody noticed that the BURP in one of the Bionicle sets looks like it's multicolored? I hadn't noticed that. I assumed it was just some bricks added on to the BURPS. I didn't think it was likely, and wrote it off to bad photography. It could, however, very well be multi-colored. See this pic: Two multi-colored BURPS. (That sounds kind of gross, doesn't it?) Steve Quote
