jonfett Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 With the high rate of attacks on women in secluded parking lots, especially during evening hours, the Minneapolis City Council has established a "Women Only" parking lot at the Mall of America. Even the parking lot attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and safe environment is created for patrons. Below is the first picture available of this world-first women-only parking lot in Minnesota. I hope this causes no offence to any female members of our forum, just to let you know that I did not create this.. it was sent to me in an email. Don't laught too hard men! ;) Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Lololol. I think men thinking women cannot drive is an international thing :P No offense though Quote
Vader Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 Lol priceless and i love the way that youve pointed out that you are not to blame for this pic jon :-D ;) Quote
ApophisV Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 LOL!!!! But here some word of me as this thread's feminist: (hey, anybody must help the girls... ;)) I don't think womens' ability to be such bad drivers isn't a result of genetic things or in there nature or whatever.... Those prejudices result from all those housewives that drive a car maybe once per month to ride to the next supermarket or catching up the babies from kindergarden... So they aren't excercized in dirving.... But most men are riding to work every day, mostly the husbands have to drive long distances when visiting e.g. the grandparents or whatever ("Darling, driving makes me tired, can you drive please? *kiss* )... So they are more experienced.... Hehe, what do YOU think? *G* Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 I think you won't date any girls with such comments ! :-D I definitly think girls prefer to be told that they are "genetically bad drivers" than they are driving bad because of an old fashion clich Quote
LegoVervoerBouwer Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 What will the next special parking place become? One especially for tricycles of small children? Quote
Orlego Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Hmm... This is how my sister dri... Never mind ;) Quote
ApophisV Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Hey I know a number of women that drive better than some men I know... (Yeah, I can say this without of stuttering... ;)) E.g. my mom is a very good driver, as my ex-girlfriend was... Then again I know several girls that are really bad drivers... E.g. some friends of mine, which all are very unsure if the traffic around them is getting confusing.... Most men I know don't drive very good, though they think so... Actually they are just driving way to fast (Hey, this must be true if even I say that somebody is too fast.... :D ) and way too inconsiderate... But this is cool and funny, so they think they are good drivers... :| I for myself developed a worse driving style than I had one or two years ago, sometimes I break rules (e.g driving 30 km/h too fast... :$) and such things... But I still always try only to break those rules that hasn't any sense... E.g. crossing a zebra crossing without of slowing down and watching out for people is and will always be a big no-no.... So, after turning this funny topic into a philosophical discussion: What do you think? ;) Quote
jonfett Posted January 30, 2005 Author Posted January 30, 2005 So, after turning this funny topic into a philosophical discussion: What do you think? ;) Thanks for ruinging my thread Apo.. I just wanted to give everybody a chance to laugh for once and you came in with all your philosophical nonsense and destroyed any humor that people would have got out of this thread... >:( ;) But, as someone who can't drive I must say.. my dad drives alot more confidently than my mum. Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 My mum drives too slow... My dad drives too fast (and he keeps accelerating/stop accelerating all the time *sick* ). I drive perfectly. So the next question is : what is your car gentlemen ? Quote
LegoVervoerBouwer Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 of course! what's your car? a old mini cooper? Quote
Jipay Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 here it is. It is the exact same model (and same color) even if the picture isn't mine :-D Quote
ApophisV Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Ahhh... acceleration.... *wub* BTW: I'm driving an Opel Corsa A (the last version of this series, so with facelift [different bumpers, grille and headlights...), but it's slowly dying... :'( The gears make terrible sound when the engine is cold in the morning...... :'( If I don't exchange the engine and the gears as soon as possible I've to search a replacement for my beloved vehicle..... :'( :'( :'( (BTW I'll search a picture later, should better lern.... :$) Quote
