Stefano Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 This is a good question ... I would go for the Lego 6394 – Metro Park and Service Tower because i still need to buy this set and i just love it for a reason :P Quote
DLuders Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I would select the Lego Model Team 5571 Giant Truck set! Quote
spzero Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) 4000001 Moulding Machines, because its so different, and a great rare as hens teeth item, Helms deep. emerald night, i need this train. friends stables for my lil girl Edited August 8, 2012 by spzero Quote
fitzyfitz Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Has to be 10179. I was still in my dark ages when I saw it, and despite being impressed at the time I thought the £340 price tag was insane. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'd love to get my hands on 10187 VW Beetle, but it's tough with sets like 6399 Quote
Faefrost Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 As tempting as the UCS MF would be, I think I would go for the history and a 928 Galaxy Explorer. Quote
L@go Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I'd probably go for set #4000012 Piper Airplane, the set handed out to the participants on this year's exclusive tour. Partly because it's rare, but mainly because I really like the way it's designed. If I could find the instructions somewhere (LEGO uploaded them to their website, but then removed them again, and I didn't save them in time) I might build one for my own collection. Quote
Spencer_R Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 851 Tractor I was mesmerized by those large rear tires. Never did get that set though Quote
Nealybealy Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would want the Message Intercept Base [set #6987] Brickset listing Quote
Huntleyfx Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would have to go for one of the fabled "Europa" themed sets, preferably the largest they had. Going with officically produced though, I would have to go with a Fort Legorado. Quote
conchology Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would choose the 5571 Giant Truck from Model Team - this truck had fantastic details and it is by far the best Model Team set created by Lego. Quote
hammelgeier Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would also choose 10179 Milennium Falcon cause I missed to get it and its such a fantastic set. Quote
Kumpelkante Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would choose 6086 Black Knight's castle. Quote
wokajablocka Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would have to go with 10179 UCS Millenium Falcon because its one of the largest Lego sets ever produced (2nd I think behind the Taj Mahal), its the biggest Star Wars set ever produced, I missed this set and now is so over priced I cant afford it , it looks awesome, brick built canopy. This would be my most prized Lego model in my collection if I owned it and every time I see it in person it looks so huge and amazing. Quote
gifinim Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I'd go for the 6399 Airport Shuttle. The trains are good but monorails are just so much cooler. Quote
antp Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would select the Lego Model Team 5571 Giant Truck set! Me too, that truck is so good-looking. At least it is probably the most expesive amongst the few rare/old sets that I'd like to have. Quote
Hey Joe Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) 10182 Cafe Corner for me as well. Is the set part of the prize as well? Ha ha, just kidding, getting the book would be enough, thanks. Edited August 9, 2012 by bjtpro Quote
Zeon Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would pick the 375-2 "yellow castle", and would hate Lego for forcing me into a hard decision like this http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=375-2 Quote
miskox Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) I always wanted to have 365 Wild West Scene. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=365-1 Saso Edited August 9, 2012 by miskox Quote
badbob001 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 In my youth, I remember staring dreamily at the tiny LEGO catalog's even tinier photo of set 6390 Main Street. But I think I will settle for something with a little more play: 497 Galaxy Explorer. Quote
petero Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would have to go for 3450 Statue of Liberty. I guess I'm just a patriot at heart Peter Quote
Bearded Castle Guy Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 This would be a tough call, while there are a lot of sets that flash thru my mind just for their size and the amount of pieces you could get, such as any the various Modular's, UCS or even older sculpture lines, I'd have to go with something older. Also while the Classic Space sets have some draw I'd still have to bypass the likes of the 497 Galaxy Explorer for what's become my 'core' focus, something Castle related. The 6040 Blacksmiths Shop has eluded me, the 6002-2 or 0016-1 Castle Minifigs would be a great temptation, my choice would have to be a town set: http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=1592-1 Town Square- Castle Scene. Quote
Horry Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 At first I thought it would be a tough call, but then it hit me like a lighting bold: the 6274 Caribbean Clipper! I always wanted that set as a child to have something to fight my Black Seas Barracuda! Even if the BSB is the cooler set, I long(ed) for the Clipper - And now excuse me, I have to go and shove my Ship MOC over the carpet Quote
travisco_nabisco Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Hmmm, one set. Think I will have to go for the Imperial Trading Post 6277-1. Quote
cava Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I would choose the 396 Thatcher Perkins Locomotive, she's my dream !!! Quote
