mahjqa Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 These are waaaaaaay overdue. Plan was to have this done at the movie's release, but I may have gone a bit overboard filming. There's also a making of part: Required by law these days are Cuusoo links: The Bat - http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/23218 Camo Tumbler - http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/20174 Tons of pictures can be found here: (top left) http://www.flickr.com/photos/28134808@N02/sets/ LXF files are somewhere over here: http://www.vayamenda.com/ Quote

tibivi Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Great videos Nice idea for moving the bat Tibivi Quote
Paul202 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) It's beautiful. Moreover, if you would be so kind, could you update the LFX File page to include the Black Tumbler? I am assuming it shouldn't be too difficult, because the classic appears to be the same as on your camo Tumbler. Edited August 10, 2012 by Paul202 Quote
timslegos Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 but I may have gone a bit overboard filming. That is never possible, NOTHING beats a well produced video. Excellent creation as usual. Are you making a less produced demonstration video of the functions? tim Quote
mahjqa Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Thanks everyone, for your kind replies. That makes the time I put in this worth it. It's beautiful. Moreover, if you would be so kind, could you update the LFX Fle pge to include the Black Tumbler. I am assuming it shouldn't be to difficult, because the classic appears to be the same as on your camo Tumbler. Actually, the black Tumbler is a completely different vehicle, no matter how much it looks like the camo one. Also, I've got a request; Both the Bat and the black tumbler use the new power functions motors that come with set 9398; they don't seem to be in your database yet. Is there a possibility for placeholder parts, perhaps? Are you making a less produced demonstration video of the functions? That's pretty much the 'making of' video. Which functions are still unclear? Quote

captainmib Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 *oh2* *oh2* Amazing - tumblers are so cool. The video's are awesome... Is there any chance you give us some instructions for the tumbler? Quote
mahjqa Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Is there any chance you give us some instructions for the tumbler? The Camo version can be found at Vayamenda.com and at Rebrickable. The black version (with L motors and servo motor) is still in progress. Edited August 10, 2012 by mahjqa Quote
dr_spock Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Excellent work. What video editing software do you use? Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Your video editing skills are amazing! Really nice job there. Quote
mahjqa Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Excellent work. What video editing software do you use? I'm very happy with Adobe Premiere. However, most of what I do can be done with simpler programs like windows movie maker. It's just cutting fragments to the right length and putting them in the right order, you don't need super advanced programs to do that. Quote

Or did you use fishing line? Quote
idunno101 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 That looks so cool very nice editing and great job building those vehicles hope you keep making great projects Quote
jadedomg Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 The tumbler is neat but the bat is wow! You did a great job on the video too. Quote
Darth Dino Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) Hi beside the great MOCs as photographer i have to appreciate your great camera machines. This really makes me think of an own small camera that could fit into RC "cars". I also love the idea of the flying batwing "car". Next step could be some programmable Lego Mindstorms to repeat multiple scenes with same mavements: Real motion control filming! Very well photography with very unique "hardware" and ideas. allanp Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) There is only one word to describe your video, awesome, amazing, excellent, fantastic, superb, wonderful, marvellous, and really rather good! As Siskel and Ebert would say ..... I have made a few rigs for video camera's myself and know they can be tricky, you have an excellent range of motion there without getting any of the rig in shot. Nice one! Edited August 11, 2012 by allanp Quote
CMP Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 One of the best LEGO films I've seen in my life. I was too distracted by the amazing filming to notice the builds at first, but they're really nice too now that I look at them. Quote
DLuders Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 @ Mahjqa: I had to refrain from posting your marvelous Lego Technic Tumbler, after seeing your Tumbly! Flickr photostream for weeks! It looks very well engineered. Both the Bat and the black tumbler use the new power functions motors that come with set 9398; they don't seem to be in your database yet. As Alasdair Ryan noted on this Eurobricks post, these new 9398 parts ARE on Bricklink now: bb571c01 "Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions L with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom" bb572c01 "Electric, Motor 9V Power Functions Servo with Dark Bluish Gray Bottom" Allanp noted that some Bricklink sellers offer the "Version 2" Power Functions Receiver (to handle two PF L-motors on the same channel): German source and American source . mahjqa Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 Where's the making of the making of video? Amazing work as usual It was right below that sentence. I'm amazed that you missed it. Just to make sure, here it is again: Quote
