Kai NRG Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Extension please!!(working on it!) I think 6 or 7 is a better deadline because it's not sure the site will be up and running the 5th. And I'm not really getting how other guilds could build plots for our "Mitgardian" capital! Sure they can build mocs based in/on Mitgardia but I think we should keep Valholl for Mitgardians. After the deadline I will be making more plots and I'm pretty sure SK will do as well. Ondylion is finished so I should be able to make some Come on, I've already got three done! You've got a lot of wall, can't you spare some? Edited October 1, 2012 by Kai NRG
Ecclesiastes Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Come on, I've already got three done! You've got a lot of wall, can't you spare some? Hmmm, I fear you've build a few weak spots inside the wall. So when time comes you could get into Vaholl quickly! As Hersir I'm careful with foreign architecture in our city
Garmadon Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Here is one of the two Wall segments I see Kai NRG has been promising you. . . (click on the picture to go to the topic - you guys are giving these their own topics right?):
kabel Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 @eccles: alright, deadline extende until sunday. About opening, I think it should be possible to have others depictind a visit of their characters in valholl, but in the end it's the Jarl who gets to decid, SoT? @Gamardon, thanks dude, any particular spot on the wall you'd prefer?

Exactly, I'm trying to have Ageven tour historica and with the wall I could have Mitgardia covered. Besides, you could always have your royal architects inspect them. . .

No particular spot, really. Anything would be fine. But I posted my second wal segment and when EB was down it got removed, so can I post it again

kabel Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Hey so cool you guys did this little extra challenge! I certainly think we should do things like this again, maybe have a moc battle between the guilds would be even better! Anyway, now that the challenge part of this community build is over, I hope that we may still see some more mocs contributing to this project. So we really need to discuss whether to open this to participants from other guilds. Personally I would be inclined to do so.

Pyrovisionary Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) I will now try my hand at a tower! Soon enough it'll just be a really big wall for all of the towers! Edited November 20, 2012 by Skyrimguy
kabel Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 I thought I let you know that the community build is still going on and will even be expanded in the days to come!

Yooha Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Hi all Mitgardians, I’m glad I’ve found this topic after I joined our guild a few days ago. As I see, this topic is still active and everyone can add new pieces to the wall of Valholl. I already have some ideas what I want to build and hope will be ready with them by the end of this week. If you’ve read my introduction in the Mitgradian thread, you know that I will make my builds using LDD and rendering. I hope this won’t disqualify me from this built. First I tried to find out, where I could place my structures. My plan is to build 3 wall segments and one side tower. As for the latter I didn’t have too much choice, as there is only one spot for it – the place is not fixed though. I went through this topic to know what other people built and to check what part of the wall is already built. I realized that the first post is not up-to-date, so I dared to make a new list and a new map that shows the status quo. On the map I greyed the spots that I already taken with a fix number, and greened the ones that are built, but don’t have a number taken. I chose numbers for them arbitrary to have as much of a contigous wall as possible. There is one exception if I may: Grimcrack,s house and Lydia’s house by soccerkid were placed on spot 7-8, but since there was a nice empty row at 6-9, I placed the tournament there, and the two houses next to them at spot 9 and 11. I didn’t want to be offensive and didn’t want to play the Big Boss Who Says How Things Should Be Done as a rookie, so I hope you find this summary useful. If I made any errors, please let me know. And one more thing, I would like to use tower spot 20 (as may tower plan has a similar style to the Omurtag Gate) and wall sections 21-23. UPDATE: I added Minstrels of Mitgardia by Garmadon (sorry, I didn't notice) and put his two creations on spot 22 and 23. And changed two places of Gimcrack the Inventor and Lydia the Seamstress by soccerkid to spots 11 and 12, so they are next door, as the introduction says. 1. The Commander's House kabel 2. kabel Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 I didn't get to updating this, so thanks for the work, I appriciate it! As for your question, sure go ahead and build #20, I just took my half finished tower apart, so you can have it! BTW, it'd be really cool if you started collecting some bricks and did some real work. A wall section actually doesn't take that many bricks!
soccerkid6 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I'm working on another few sections for this as well, nice to see the map updated
Garmadon Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Nice work, Yooha, but I actually did two wall sections (here's the second, Minstrels of Mitgardia). I didn't pick numbers, so just put them at 22 and 23. Edited May 13, 2013 by Garmadon
kabel Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 now that I cruise back through all the mocs that got posted here, it's really interesting to see how all the Mitgardians elvolved as builders ...
Yooha Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) Nice work, Yooha, but I actually did two wall sections (here's the second, Minstrels of Mitgardia). I didn't pick numbers, so just put them at 22 and 23. I updated my post accordingly. And here are the first parts. The tower is yet to come. Edited May 16, 2013 by Yooha
soccerkid6 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) Here is a build that actually takes four sections, 41, 37, 36, and 38: Topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=82546 Seeing as most of the wall sections have been built, or will be soon, perhaps we could number the plots inside Valholl not connected to the wall. That would give us lots more buildings to make and allow for slightly larger buildings as the wall would not be on the 16x16 chunk. Edited May 17, 2013 by soccerkid6
