The_Customizer Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Sorry for my absence, was gone for about the last 18 hours. Indeed, Sarge, about how many quests have you been on? And you as well Monk. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 "This is my third quest...this time around. I am sure I've told you all about those ones though. In my first quest we had do rid a country of an Draugr that was plaguing the inhabitants. Slew a whole bunch of undead, we did. Next quest we were clearing out someone's treasury of a whole bunch of vile monsters called "proggs." Have you ever heard of something by that name? What about you, Erdy? How many quests have you gone on before this and where have they taken you?" Quote
The_Customizer Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I have participated in three quests, though unfortunately on one of them we had to turn back as the items were no longer needed. However my first one was cleansing the Heroica school of an evil that lived in the sewers, and the second one, me and my fellow allies had to rid the world of the pirate known as the Jolly Roger. Both quests were quite fun and interesting, and i look forward to even more in the future. Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 OOC: That ostrich's special II and the rose's special are both bad. So In order to prevent such things I suggest that I target the pig to damage the ostrich without targeting it and the bat to damage the rose. Erdy take the staff and Pretzel take Adam and free hits had better go to you too seeing as I have the least health and pretzel has SP. Thoughts? Quote
The_Customizer Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Ok men, this may seem hard, but it really isn't, for one attack I can throw a bomb which will kill the pig, and apply damage to all the others, after that I will deal with the staff. However, Sarge, it may be best for you take out the Crab, as well as just attack Dr. Trice so he doesn't get a free hit. Monk, you should either attack Adam or the Gorilla. Battle Order Erdathcath Throws 1 Lightning Bomb Erdathcath attacks Staff of Life (Back Row, handcannon) Monk Sarge Quote
Palathadric Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) I knew that Staff would ruin us! God go with us! Don't bother taking out the pig, Sarge. You should actually probably take Adam, from the back row, since that way you can damage him and the VIper, so your attack will be worth more. The Doctor could knock you out at once. Then go for the orange crab as well, I will heal Tryce from the back row. I am sorry to say, but everything will have to be done from the back row. Erdy, you really should equip your Amulet of Optimism instead of that Mage's Muffler. In fact, Erdy, I may suggest that you exchange items instead of throwing your bomb. A confused enemy may be very useful for us. In fact, Erdy, perhaps it would be a better idea to just let the staff drain out the doctor's ether. Otherwise, it may be a better idea to just heal it than to physically attack it, because we really don't want to activate its' specials, at this time. I suggest we try to defeat as many of the animals as we can for now and we leave Tryce and the Staff for later, but I'm not sure. If the staff is confused and pops out a beast, the beast would be on our side, right? Proposed Actions: Erdy-Throw Bomb/Equip Amulet of Optimism instead of Mage's Muffler/Use Smelling Salts on Pretzel/Mead on Sarge Erdy-Staff of Light (Back Row) or heal? Sarge-Adam (Back Row) Pretzel-Heal Doctor Sarge-Orange Crab (Back Row) This will allow me to take the free hit from the higher levelled enemy. This is just off the top of my head for now, my mind is not too focused at this moment. Actually, Erdy, you probably should take out the pig this round to prevent your having to take the extra free hit from the Ostrich, but then again, it may be better for you to take the free hits from the Ostrich instead of Sarge. You should probably, at some point, use a mead on Sarge so his weapon of mass destruction will be more effective. Edited January 14, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
The_Customizer Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Not a bad idea Monk, however I think using the bomb right from the start would be best, probably use a fire bomb instead. Also, Sarge needs to go last, so he gets less free hits on him, whereas I can take more free hits as I am from the back row, so all free hits are halved, and I have more health than anyone else here. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 "Sarge will take two free hits no matter where he is positioned in the battle order, so it may as well be from the weaker enemies. Let me take the ape's hit. Also, you have to specify whether you're attacking the staff or healing it. I may say healing it is the better option for now, but it's your call. You seem exceptionally favoured in your attacking, so maybe it's safe for you to just attack it, but healing it gives it no opportunity to use it's special. Once again, your call. If we can take out the plants and beasts before focusing on Tryce and the Staff we can keep them sealed while we destroy their health." Quote
The_Customizer Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 True, with this many enemies, Sarge is guaranteed to get damaged, here, I'll rearrange the battle order to make it easier. Battle Order Erdathcath throws Fire Bomb (back row) Erdathcath attacks Staff of Life (I have a fairly good chance of hitting it, without causing any special effects) Sarge (attack Adam, or the Crab) Monk (Should use magic against Dr. Trice) Sarge (attack Bat or Gorilla) For right now, it would be best for me to just attack, when there are fewer enemies I'll switch to the Amulet of Optimism, that way we can guarantee there will be no extra free hits. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 "Sarge, whatever you do, do hit Adam. I can take the free hit from the crab, but we don't want Erdy to receive unnecessary damage. If you do plan to target the bat, then you can probably take him from the front row, and then Adam afterwards from the back, so that the free hit you receive will only be half-damage. Or you can just do both attacks from the back row." Quote
