His hands glow green as his "decipher spell" sends a tiny pebble off the cliff's edge. "My my...it does indeed say 'Secret Moon Elf Treasure Buried here". What do you say, Slyph?"

The party decides to open the lid of the tomb. The stone slab is heavy, but together the four heroes manage to push it aside, revealing the skeleton of an ancient elven king.

Suddenly there's a freezing breeze, and a low howling can be heard in the wind. The heroes get chills down their spine and a dreadful feeling in the backs of their heads. The whole party is permanently cursed.

Trying to shake off the dread, the party checks what they can find from the tomb:

"Sylph, bless these grounds with your healing powers, hopefully they will forgive us. Or one of us could back-track and go buy 4 blessed amulets. Nur could send out another pet rock."

"No god will forgive what we've done. We murdered the guards of a holy place, and defiled it with our greed. Please indulge yourselves. Take the gold. But I won't touch it, though I too am cursed for not stopping you."

"I will try however." Stated Sylph grimly after contemplating the situation. "If you forsake the gold and return the slab (perhaps some of your blood too), then maybe the gods can reverse the curse. I will pray that they do. We have done a bad thing, and we must not repent for fear of punishment, but rather, the will to do right."

Not being able to tolerate the sense of terror that's haunting them, the heroes decide to push the lid back on the tomb. Soon the feeling evaporates, and the party is no longer cursed.

Hastily they leave the king's grave behind and hurry after the boys. As they descend the mountainside, they suddenly feel the ground rumble, and a roaring laughter pierces the air. They soon see a hulking Mountain Troll on an upper trail, and a landslide below them. It looks like the troll is deliberately breaking the mountainside, and laughing on top of it.

Then they hear the two boys crying for help among the stone rubble.

Will the party go up to face the troll, or down to help the boys out of the landslide?

"Quick, Sylph, shoot the troll while we have the upper hand!" Johon shouts to Sylph as he rushes to go help the boys.

"Johon! The boy's shouldn't know we're here! Damnations! Get back here! Nur, I want you to make a shield of rock partially around the boys just to stop them from being crushed. If possible, make it look like the stones did it themselves. Do whatever it takes to maintain that shield! Johon, Dak, you two and I will take on the troll! You from the front, and me from the back! Prepare what you need now. Is that clear?! Charge!" Cried Sylph to the party as he stepped a few paces forward and prepared his bow.

Nur heads down the mountainside towards the boys. He sets down his staff, dusts his hands off then flexes his fingers as he assesses the situation he finds. "Now, what do we have here?"

Sylph leads his two companions to the upper path on the mountainside to face the troll, while Nur ventures down to check on the two boys.

Once the troll notices the approaching heroes, it roars and lifts up an enormous boulder, ready to smash them.

Nur uses ether to stabilize the rocks around the boys. He also attempts to throw a stick sturdy enough for Nutain to use slightly above the boys' location so it'll naturally fall towards them with the other rubble.

The mage looked up to the troll. "My...he looks big even from down here."

Sylph, Dak and Johon decide to take on the Mountain Troll head-on. Sylph tries to blind the hulking blue giant, but fails. The laughing troll picks up a boulder and throws it at the party, defeating both Sylph and Johon instantly, and dealing 18 damage to Dak.

OoC: I know you are not Brickdoctor, but can we try to limit the enemy's power? For instance, can we surround the troll, so that if he throws a boulder, it will only damage one of us rather than all of us if we were standing in the same area?

QM Note:No, that is not an option. You already have your scrolls, your items and your artefacts. This battle should be manageable with those and a little bit of strategizing.

Seriously, if we're not going to play by the rules, then what's the whole point of this game?

Nur grunted then wiped his brow. "I can't hold it any longer. Hope they made it." He shuddered briefly at the bone crunching noise from above. "Well that didn't sound pleasant at all."

En Sabah Nur grabbed his staff and sprinted up the hill to rejoin his group.
