The vial of fluid landed squarely in the ogre's mouth, Skrall painfully crunching away at the thin layer of glass surrounding the sugary liquid. "Just so ya know, Hoke, I'm sendin' my dentist's bill to you. Now, down to business." Skrall fired off two successive rounds at the Jade Kraken from the back row. UsernameMDM Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "You've wasted enough time enchanting your equipment, we'll be done for if you go into dentistry." "You say wasted, but I say invested," Hoke says with a wink. Quote
Quarryman Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Namyrra prepares for a Wood spell at Jade Kraken from the back row. Quote
PsyKater Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Amma is absolutely stunned by the monster. She has never seen such a big creature before. She resists to flee and tries the Scroll of Weakening on the Kraken from the backrow. If successful on the first try, she will try the Scroll of Frailty next, otherwise she will try again. Is it correct that the Kraken starts without tentacles? Or am I overlooking them. Quote
Quarryman Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "Stigveladi, I don't think your scrolls will work against this kind of leviathan, if you're afraid of attacking it you might as well don't do anything. I think Skrall will take care of it though, it looks like a monster that's right up his lane." Quote
PsyKater Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 grr, that last line... "If you think so, Uq. You are the most experienced. If I would be inspired, then the risk of being KO'd wouldn't be so high, even when I am lucky. I will cast an Ice Spell at the Kraken from the back row, if I am inspired. Otherwise I'll do nothing back here. What a waste on consumables though. But Skrall may take that monster down pretty fast anyway." Quote
Quarryman Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "Ok, some inspiration might be possible I suppose." Namyrra puts away her emerald and instead focuses on using the scroll of Inspiration on Stigveladi. Quote
Sandy Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 QM Note: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! Sorry, but you guys have to start this battle over. The Jade Kraken is supposed to be accompanied by eight Krakentacles and be of Aquatic-type (the stats currently shown were WIP). I trust CMP will fix this issue that was merely due to a minor miscommunication. Quote
Jebediahs Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Nur interrupted his spell casting as tentacles began to break the water's surface. His memory flashed to the time he saw an elf archer fell a large beast by riding its tentacle-like appendage and taking well placed shots to the creature's head. What was his name? Greenleaf something. Nur looked to his hulking comrade. Nah, there is no way he is that nimble. "I will dispatch of as many tentacles as I can. Starting with..." Nur casts a lightning spell at Krakentacle E from the back row. Quote
Quarryman Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 OoC: right, now that looks a wee bit more difficult. And I just spotted a minor error, there's a krakentacle without a letter, might want to move that to the end and assign it the letter 'H'. Namyrra uses smelling salts and sends a Wood spell at Krakentacle A from the back row. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Hoke watches as the Kraken deadly appendages slip out from the murky depths. Undettered, he presses his attack against the monstrosity. Hoke continues attack on Kraken after using Nostrum on Skrall: Topaz, Kraken, Back Row. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) Skrall watched as tentacles erupted from the lake's surface, "Well that makes things a bit more challenging." "Hoke, keep that thing busy. Stigveladi, go ahead and fragilize a few of those tentacles." Skrall quickly reloaded and fired off two bolts at Krakentacle B from the back row. Quarryman Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "Skrall, you might want to target more than one krakentacle, we need to keep as many as possible occupied." Quote
UsernameMDM Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 "Hoke, keep that thing busy." "As you say! Mayhaps those tentacles will make a delicious lakeside dinner." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) "Skrall, you might want to target more than one krakentacle, we need to keep as many as possible occupied." "Ah, I mistook those tentacles for the wound inflicting kind instead of the vampiric. New plan, Hoke deal with a tentacle, I'll take care of the beastie. Stigvaldi, scratch the scroll work, now might be a good time for that wishing wand of yers." Skrall loaded his second shot and fired a round off at the Kraken from the back row. UsernameMDM Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 OK, I think EVERYONE needs to redo their actions. I am completely confused about who is doing what and we need to be considerate to CMP. After reviewing the new stats, please relist your actions. Action 1: Nostrum on Skrall Action 2: Topaz, Tentacle H, Back Row Quote

"Alright, I will hit Tentacle C and D with my Wishing Wand from the back row and wish they'll be asleep after that." Action 1: Tentacle C, Wishing Wand, back row, asleep Action 2: Tentacle D, Wishing Wand, back row, asleep ooc: I am unsure: asleep or sealed? With asleep we can ignore them for three rounds unless they wake up by AOE or somehing like that (also no free hits). With sealed we dont have to fear SPECIAL DAMAGE when attacking them, no matter what, but have to deal with DAMAGE and free hits. Edited July 26, 2013 by PsyKater Quote
