ooc: Lind, I am all for suggestions since you are team lead. However you might want to consider that we have our own agedas. I wouldn't "schedule" us for anything. Just my two cents...

When I said "I was scheduling so-and-so actions...," I meant I was previously planning on suggesting said actions.

The Round goes spectacularly poorly for the party, Lind regaining some health from his Potion but losing most of it by standing in the Front Row while drinking it. Meanwhile, Grimwald's opponent punches him right into the waiting jaws of a spider, knocking him out, while Darksten gets wrapped up in cobwebs. Fortunately for him, however, his Frailty finally wears off.

Five enemies still remain standing against the two remaining Heroes, both still at critical health. THE BATTLE CONTINUES!

FM Note: As Grimwald was not placed in the Battle Order, I have placed him as per Darksten's suggestion. Since I received no action for Grimwald, I had him repeat his previous attack. Lind, I did not see a Row specified in your action, so I placed you in the Back Row. In the future, please try to specify these things yourselves, thanks. :sweet:

Lind gets Grimwald back on his feet, and the gnome lashes out, finally eliminating his enemy. Darksten still can't seem to finish off his arachnid opponent, but his cover fire at least keeps it away from the others, and fortunately for him his cape manages to completely deflect another spider's Free Hit. Lind is not so lucky, however, as another strike from the remaining undead brings him perilously close to unconsciousness.

Four enemies remain standing against the three Heroes, but the battle seems to be turning in the latter's favor. THE BATTLE CONTINUES!

Darksten finally sees his adversary fall, but is frustrated it is not by his bolts. He quickly switches targets to try and redeem his image. He launches another bolt at spider c from the back row hoping to continue the momentum.

FM Note: I should probably point out (based on your actions) that challenges (i.e. Close Encounters) apply to all Heroes in a battle and must be declared before choosing a location. Also note that fractional GP is always rounded down.

Lind handed the requested bone to the Ranger. "Your bone. Perhaps Master Grimwald would like one also?

Although I will of course acquiesce if the rest of the party prefers the idea, I would suggest against accepting the challenge for a while yet. It's a matter of points. This turn, we each received a single point each. Next turn, we will receive two each, and et cetera, usque ad the Fields are wiped. The modifier is worth a one decimal five multiplier. Now, if we accept it for our next turn, we will only receive a single extra point apiece - two multiplied by one decimal* five equaling three. However, if we wait until we have battled our way to the point where our battles are in the double digits, the multipliers will be far more rewarding.

Take for instance, "Immortal." If we were to accept that now, we would only gain as much as if it were a one point five multiplier, and we would lose zero decimal three of our points value. But, if we wait until we are at, say, ten points a battle, we will receive the full credit - an entire eight extra points!"

*Ooc: I once had a teacher who insisted that you had to read "." as decimal, not point. I picture Lind as mostly having learned from books, rather than through listening/talking, so he reflects a little bit of that in the way he occasionally talks. Not huge differences, just little catches now and then.

FM Note: Comrade Commander has the right idea; Challenges are not 'used up', so the same challenge may be used an *snicker* unlimited number of times. :wink:

I'll give you a couple hours to decide if this affects your plans, and then I'll move you forward. :wink:

ooc:I suggest having me attacking the black sheep. I cannot be blinded, and since I battle from the back row, my damage would be halved if I get confused and attack one of you. Just my thoughts, and correct me if I am wrong. Also, no reason for both of us not to attack them.

FM Note: Actually, when Heroes in the same party attack each other (i.e Confusion or Hexing), the damage ignores Row. :wink:
