Flipz Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Ooc-My 2 meads and 4 Smelling Salts are gone. Warlen walks into the fields, and after introducing himself to father MacDonald, turns to the team. "Right. Hi everyone! First off, who wants this spare garnet?" FM Note: Your consumables and Gold were both off; I fixed them as best I could based on your Marketplace post. Quote
Myrddyn Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) "Right. Hi everyone! First off, who wants this spare garnet?" "Lend it to Siercon, if you don't mind - my axe has a garnet in it anyway." Erik says, as he lends the Darkstar Wand to Warlen, and the Silver Cup of Victory to Avalanche. He also offers the lighter armour to William."Pleasure to meet you, Mr Donauld. I did come here hoping to find the blasted bugbear that stole my book, but I'm happy to see what we can do about this monster in the west." The battle-mage turns to the rest of the party, after peering at the map for a time. "The Corn Maze (Location 3) seems a good place to start - it gets us closer to the Sanctuary, if we need it, and we'll be heading West, so we might at least get a look at whatever's causing this 'tomfoolery'. Taking the 'See You in Hell' challenge also looks like a good idea to me, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone disagrees." Wait Erik doesn't have Restoration, sorry. I don't know why I put that there. Edited September 7, 2015 by Myrddyn Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Warlen accepts the wand with a nod of thanks, and passes the Garnet to Sirecon. "Seems a good starting place. I think we should take down the 8 easy areas first. Unless we'd rather first wipe out yellow as fast as we can, then get a bunch of glory points easily by doubling back to the green?" Quote

Wedge09 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 OOC: ok, sorry, anyway fixed :) I upgraded the Fauxtrill Crosbow from 13 to 14 WP and now I have 280 gold. Alexander arrived to the Field and met the rest of the party. He listened to Mr Donauld's words and to Erik ideas before spoking for himself "I agree on the location, indeed we should try go West, things could become interesting. And about the challenge, I'm ok with it, it sounds good." Quote

"Ah, of course. I'd forgotten how you warden fellows enjoy taking other peoples wounds. Actually, I believe I misunderstood how these challenges work. Looks like there's no point doing a challenge with less than a 2x modifier on our first battle, but maybe next battle we can take that challenge." So, No Challenge for the first battle, since all the GP bonus will get rounded off anyway, unless we want to do one with at least 2xGP. Also, thanks Flipz "Seems a good starting place. I think we should take down the 8 easy areas first. Unless we'd rather first wipe out yellow as fast as we can, then get a bunch of glory points easily by doubling back to the green?" "Perhaps. Might help to see how easy our first battle is before we decide, though." He tilts his head at the knights comment on immortality, nodding once despite clearly having no clue what was meant. Siercon and Coral Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Siercon enters the fields having purchased nothing from the marketplace like his usual custom. He was glad to back in the fields since his last visit was cut so short. On top of that he happily looked around at the familiar faces he would have the honor of battling with again. He gave a kind sort of bowing gesture to Warlen, William, and Alexander, with his right hand loosely open. "Glad to see you all again, good friends." He said stepping into the group. His tone denoted a smile, though one couldn't be seen. Turning to the others he introduced himself simply with the opposite of a tall proud stance, one might notice that he was scrunching a little if they were intently looking for his height. Offering his hand, he greeted them saying: "I look forward to fighting along, and beside with you both." There was an almost obvious stumbling in his words as if Siercon was focusing to hard in not saying "I look forward to fighting with you both" over thinking the matter of a simple greeting, but then catching himself and moving on. He accepted the Garnet from Warlen, and looked him up and down. "Ah Thank you, greatly." He said... He then poked him with a fuzzy smoke-ish hand on the shoulder, following this with a hum and a several rapid nods clearly acknowledging and praising Warlen's increase in abilities. He then stepped back and seemed content with whichever direction was taken. Quote

Flipz Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) FM Note: Warlen's attack mentions swinging his sword, so I'll assume he means a physical attack with The Cannonblade rather than with the Darkstar Wand. Please make your weapon choices clear when making an attack (and thank you to those of you who did so already, it's very helpful). Round 1 of Battle 1 >Erik (Lightning) vs. Scary Crows A - Damage (Erik: 36/2=18-14=4 damage; Warlen: +1 Power) >William vs. Scarecrow B - Hit (Scarecrow B: 12+21=33 damage) >Siercon (Light) vs. Scarecrow A - Special Damage (Murder of Crows - Scarecrow A: full health; Scary Crows B: -1 member; Warlen: +1 Power) Avalanche vs. Canaries - Extra Critical Hit (Canaries: 10*3=30+13=43 damage + no Doomed (KO!)) >Warlen vs. Scary Crows B - Special Damage (Shriek - Warlen: Afraid, +1 Power) >Alexander vs. Mad Cows - Special Damage (Moo! - Alexander: Confused + Afraid; Warlen: +1 Power) Scary Crows C Free Hit vs. Erik: 24/2=12-14=0 damage Before the battle can even begin, Erik gets swarmed by Scary Crows, but he fortunately takes little damage. William shoots an arrow into one Scarecrow's soft straw, while Siercon's searing glow scares the other into devouring one of its allies, causing the other crows to shriek in Warlen's face. This, in turn, agitates the Mad Cows into mooing eerily at Alexander, the unearthly sound scaring and Confusing the powerful Hunter. In the midst of the chaos, however, Avalanche cleaves through the Canaries, wiping out every last one with a single sweep of Erik's silver cup.
