Sorry Doc, Flare's call on who Althior targets. Speaking of which, I messed up in his damage calculation last round, but it changes nothing.

Round Two of Muddy Riverbank Rumble

Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Damage (13/2 - 25 = 0 damage)

Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Toxic Toad C, back row - Damage (13/2 - 3 = 4 damage)

Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Ally Gator A, back row - Shield: Aura (Benji gains 29 health and draws all attacks)

Xander uses Precision Bow on Ally Gator A, back row - Damage (Drawn to Benji, 10/2 - 7 = 0 damage)

Althior uses Ice on Toxic Toad C, back row - Spell ((10 + 5 + 23) x 2 = 56 damage, Toxic Toad C KO'd, -1 ether)

Ally Gator B, Mud Frog A, B, C, and D use Free Hit on Benji - (46/2 - 7 = 16 damage)

Benji counterstrikes Ally Gator B, Mud Frog A, B, C, and D - (23/2 = 12 damage to each)

Toxic Toad B no longer stunned

Docken, Xander, and Thormanil take cover behind Benji as the swamp's residents go on a rampage. Althior freezes one of the toads solid, and Benji is nearly swept away in a mess of flailing frogs and gators.

OoC: Do you know whether my Dread Hat can affect enemies I attack if Flare's drawing attacks to himself? If it can, I can attack a Toxic Toad, otherwise we might all need to attack the gators. (can't have Flare getting Confused if he's going to Counterstrike all those enemies)

Posted

OoC: That was my thought as well. What do you guys think? We can all attack the gators, leaving Flare to take 24 Damage from Free Hits, but if three of us roll Special Damage, the gators will knock him out. Or we can attack a Toxic Toad, but if Flare gets Confused, he'll cause significant Damage with Counterstrikes to K-nut, swils and posades. (row doesn't affect actions between two heroes, I believe)

Posted

OoC: Oh, how did I forget about this: Flare, have Althior heal Toxic Toad A. It's already at full HP anyways. That'll save a Free Hit.

I attack Ally Gator A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.

Posted

"I can defeat Gator B if I land a hit, so everyone else can focus on Gator A if they wish," Xander says as he readies an attack on Ally Gator B from the back row.

Round Three of Muddy Riverbank Rumble

Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Ally Gator A, back row - Critical Hit ((10 x 2) + 26 = 46 damage, Ally Gator A blinded)

Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Ally Gator B, back row - Special Damage: Twin Bite (Drawn to Benji, 30/2 - 7 = 8 damage)

Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Ally Gator A, back row - Hit (36 x 4 = 144 damage, Ally Gator A KO'd)

Xander uses Precision Bow on Ally Gator B, back row - Aim Hit (35 x 2 = 70 damage, Ally Gator B KO'd)

Althior heals Benji, back row - No Healing (No effect)

Mud Frog A, B, C, D, Toxic Toad A and B use Free Hit on Benji - ((9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 13 + 13)/2 - 7 = 24 damage)

Benji counterstrikes Mud Frog A, B, C, D, Toxic Toad A and B - (23/2 = 12 damage to each)

Benji takes a massive beating, but not before his allies skillfully eliminate the gators.

"Master Emorith should heal Master Carvenhall, I'll attack Toxic Toad A, Master Nihai should attack Toxic Toad B. Master Unth'or should state that he'll attack Toxic Toad B, but only if it's Stunned. Master Carvenhall should probably sit out this Round; we're capable of dealing with the Mud Frogs' Free Hits and we don't want to get Blinded."

I attack Toxic Toad A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.

Posted

"Docken, I don't see a point of me sitting out of this round. My shield can take care of the chance of damage from the toxic toads."

Posted

Thormanil will attack Toxic Toad B from the back row.

"What if you get confused and start smackin' us around instead of counterstrikin' them?"

Posted

"We don't want more than one of us to get Confused at a time, which means that other than myself - my Dread Hat protects me - only one of us should attack a Toxic Toad. That should be Master Nihai, since he can Stun the toad and allow another to attack. You could attack if no one is Confused, though."

OoC: To clarify, swils should attack Toxic Toad B; posades and Flare should both state that they'll attack Toxic Toad B if no one else is Confused or if the toad is Stunned.

Posted

Benji attacks Toxic Toad B IF no one else is confused or IF the toad is stunned. (makes sense, Doc)

Battle Order:

Docken

Xander

Thormanil

Benji

Althior

Posted (edited)

Flare, if I go before Thormanil and put in that conditional statement about it being stunned, there's no way I'm attacking. I think I should target Toxic Toad A and go first in the battle order, that way if I land anything but a damage roll (2/3 chance), I'll defeat it (x4 multiplier) and Docken can automatically attack the next Toxic Toad. What do you guys think?

Xander attacks Toxic Toad A from the back row, stepping in front of Docken to insure he delivers the first shot.

Not sure if it's legal to change the battle order, but I assume Flare is fine with it if you want to go ahead and roll CMP

Edited by posades

OoC: Good point. Either way would work, I think. There are few enough enemies that we could deal with two heroes being Confused, and you deal enough Damage to make it a reasonable risk; at the same time, there are few enough enemies that we don't need to hurry to defeat them. In light of that, I'd say to go for it - might as well end this battle as quickly as possible.

Posted (edited)

Posades, next time just post again rather than editing your post, I haven't run the round yet because I missed it. :classic: And no, sorry, only the party leader can mess with the battle order.

Round Four of Muddy Riverbank Rumble

Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Hit (36 damage, Toxic Toad A blinded)

Xander uses Precision Bow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Shield: Marking the Favored (35 x 9 = 315 damage, Toxic Toad A KO'd)

Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Toxic Toad B, back row - Hit (33/2 = 16 damage, Toxic Toad B stunned)

Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Toxic Toad B, back row - Aim (13 x 8 = 104 damage, Toxic Toad B KO'd)

Althior heals Benji, back row - Heal More ((10 x 2) + 23 = 43 health to Benji, -1 ether)

Mud Frog A uses Free Hit on Docken - (9/2 - 25 = 0 damage)

Docken counterstrikes Mud Frog A - (26/2 = 13 damage)

Mud Frog B uses Free Hit on Xander - (9/2 - 5 = 0 damage)

Mud Frog C uses Free Hit on Thormanil - (9/2 - 3 = 2 damage)

Mud Frog D uses Free Hit on Benji - (9/2 - 7 = 0 damage)

Benji counterstrikes Mud Frog D - (23/2 = 12 damage)

Docken and Xander simultaneously finish the first green toad. Thormanil delivers a stunning blow to the last remaining one, and Benji bolts it to the ground. He's then healed to full health by Althior. The ugly brown frogs then hop all over the heroes, dealing little damage.

"Alright, I think the best thing to do here would be to act automatically doing nothing, using Counterstrikes to finish the frogs, with Master Emorith stating that he'll attempt to heal Master Nihai whenever the latter drops to 14 HP or lower."

I do nothing from the Back Row.

OoC: Flare, posades, swils and I do nothing. Only swils can take Damage. K-nut states that, "I do nothing from the Back Row, unless Thormanil is at 14 HP or less, in which case I will attempt to heal him." (14 HP being the amount at which any successful healing roll from K-nut will restore swils to full HP) We autoplay until someone's in danger of being Knocked Out by a Free Hit.

"Hmph, you all and your defenses. Almost makes a fella' jealous."

Thormanil will do nothing from the back row.

At least the frogs' specials act as a deterrent to any gold grubbing

"Wait, scratch that - Master Carvenhall, swap Master Emorith and Master Nihai in the Order; Master Emorith will only take 1 Damage from a Free Hit. Have Master Emorith heal himself whenever he drops to 11 HP or lower, although in the 22 Rounds it'll take for him to get there, this battle should be over.

"Actually, we can end this a little more quickly if I move closer."

I do nothing from the Front Row.
