CMP Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Sorry Doc, Flare's call on who Althior targets. Speaking of which, I messed up in his damage calculation last round, but it changes nothing. Round Two of Muddy Riverbank Rumble Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Damage (13/2 - 25 = 0 damage) Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Toxic Toad C, back row - Damage (13/2 - 3 = 4 damage) Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Ally Gator A, back row - Shield: Aura (Benji gains 29 health and draws all attacks) Xander uses Precision Bow on Ally Gator A, back row - Damage (Drawn to Benji, 10/2 - 7 = 0 damage) Althior uses Ice on Toxic Toad C, back row - Spell ((10 + 5 + 23) x 2 = 56 damage, Toxic Toad C KO'd, -1 ether) Ally Gator B, Mud Frog A, B, C, and D use Free Hit on Benji - (46/2 - 7 = 16 damage) Benji counterstrikes Ally Gator B, Mud Frog A, B, C, and D - (23/2 = 12 damage to each) Toxic Toad B no longer stunned Docken, Xander, and Thormanil take cover behind Benji as the swamp's residents go on a rampage. Althior freezes one of the toads solid, and Benji is nearly swept away in a mess of flailing frogs and gators. Brickdoctor Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 OoC: Do you know whether my Dread Hat can affect enemies I attack if Flare's drawing attacks to himself? If it can, I can attack a Toxic Toad, otherwise we might all need to attack the gators. (can't have Flare getting Confused if he's going to Counterstrike all those enemies) Quote
CMP Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I personally wouldn't think so, since they're not attacking you. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 OoC: That was my thought as well. What do you guys think? We can all attack the gators, leaving Flare to take 24 Damage from Free Hits, but if three of us roll Special Damage, the gators will knock him out. Or we can attack a Toxic Toad, but if Flare gets Confused, he'll cause significant Damage with Counterstrikes to K-nut, swils and posades. (row doesn't affect actions between two heroes, I believe) Quote
swils Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Really low chance that we all roll special damage. I think that's the way to go. Quote

Flare Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Benji attacks Toxic Toad B IF no one else is confused or IF the toad is stunned. (makes sense, Doc) Battle Order: Docken Xander Thormanil Benji Althior Quote
posades Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) Flare, if I go before Thormanil and put in that conditional statement about it being stunned, there's no way I'm attacking. I think I should target Toxic Toad A and go first in the battle order, that way if I land anything but a damage roll (2/3 chance), I'll defeat it (x4 multiplier) and Docken can automatically attack the next Toxic Toad. What do you guys think? Xander attacks Toxic Toad A from the back row, stepping in front of Docken to insure he delivers the first shot. Not sure if it's legal to change the battle order, but I assume Flare is fine with it if you want to go ahead and roll CMP Edited January 12, 2013 by posades Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 OoC: Good point. Either way would work, I think. There are few enough enemies that we could deal with two heroes being Confused, and you deal enough Damage to make it a reasonable risk; at the same time, there are few enough enemies that we don't need to hurry to defeat them. In light of that, I'd say to go for it - might as well end this battle as quickly as possible. Quote
CMP Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) Posades, next time just post again rather than editing your post, I haven't run the round yet because I missed it. And no, sorry, only the party leader can mess with the battle order. Round Four of Muddy Riverbank Rumble Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Hit (36 damage, Toxic Toad A blinded) Xander uses Precision Bow on Toxic Toad A, back row - Shield: Marking the Favored (35 x 9 = 315 damage, Toxic Toad A KO'd) Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Toxic Toad B, back row - Hit (33/2 = 16 damage, Toxic Toad B stunned) Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Toxic Toad B, back row - Aim (13 x 8 = 104 damage, Toxic Toad B KO'd) Althior heals Benji, back row - Heal More ((10 x 2) + 23 = 43 health to Benji, -1 ether) Mud Frog A uses Free Hit on Docken - (9/2 - 25 = 0 damage) Docken counterstrikes Mud Frog A - (26/2 = 13 damage) Mud Frog B uses Free Hit on Xander - (9/2 - 5 = 0 damage) Mud Frog C uses Free Hit on Thormanil - (9/2 - 3 = 2 damage) Mud Frog D uses Free Hit on Benji - (9/2 - 7 = 0 damage) Benji counterstrikes Mud Frog D - (23/2 = 12 damage) Docken and Xander simultaneously finish the first green toad. Thormanil delivers a stunning blow to the last remaining one, and Benji bolts it to the ground. He's then healed to full health by Althior.
