just2good Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 This is Fabulands past, before they all got along with each other and built peaceful towns together. Now that would be some great continuity! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Now that would be some great continuity! "Some say that their small heads grew three sizes that day..." I would dislike the theme, but for a small resemblance to Bionicle in flavor. I don't like the new bike pieces though, they really remind me of Megablocks, where they make new molds for everything all the time. I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind in one direction or the other when actual pics show up. Usually I end up liking some aspect of all the themes Lego makes. I'm also somewhat worried about the quantity of new head molds they're making this year, what with TMNT, Galaxy Squad with Insectoid aliens ( ), and LoC. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

If they were brick-built, they would be far too heavy and expensive to serve their purposes. Large shells are a simple way of adding unique bikes while making the competitive gimmick workable. Also, the shells are shaped like animal heads. I know I'll be able to find a use for them. :p Quote

From what I can tell, these seem even more specialized than the tops from Ninjago. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

(Gotta admit they had nice crowns though. <3) I enjoy finding new uses for "specialized" parts though. If I pick any of these sets up, I'd be eager to do something cool with them. Quote
Kai NRG Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 In general, the list sounds interesting, what I'd really like to see is how LEGO is going to tie this into a story background and also just how useful all these new pieces might be. (Actually, I think the Ninjago spinners might be useful if you wanted to build a huge Ferris wheel - you could use them as the bottom of the seats. . . ) Quote
TheRedGuy Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) There will be croc figures? I guess I'll be getting them after all. I'm guessing there will be insect men too, judging from the set "Crawleys Reptile grabber"? Edited September 17, 2012 by TheRedGuy Quote

I think the word reptile indicates that it belongs to the reptile faction. I doubt they'll have two themes with insect-men. (Galaxy Squad) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Not sure if you lot have seen this or not either :D Looking at this pictures I think I will give that theme a miss...Kind of look like cheap happy meal toys.. though the figures i would not mind getting as i collect minifigs. (Galaxy Squad) ~Insectoid Aristocrat I was thinking more on the terms of a Lizard, (Yeah, how would LEGO do that?) but a crocodile does seem likely since the Croc-Boat is the most expensive set of the line. Wout Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Woooah woah whoa. Right. Hello, Peppermint_M here, moderator of Action themes (Big orange brick see?). There is also a lovely list of the staff in Website and Forums. If you need to do that and think you have to ask, ask staff by PM first please. Second: No mini modding thanks. Third: I will have to consult, names can stay for now but may be removed later. Dear Peppermint_M, I have posted the names of the sets I saw and I thought it would be ok to only write about. If it is not accepted feel free to remove the information. Quote
horizon Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 The names are on the website of a store selling Lego items. Quote
DraikNova Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I believe the same store posts the information early every year too. Any way, I think it's a crocodile. Quote

DraikNova Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Hopefully ones where we can see the actual sets better. Quote

I'm guessing there will be insect men too, judging from the set "Crawleys Reptile grabber"? I tried building a crocodile minifigure once, using the animal croc head. It failed miserably. :C So this Chima croc better be awesome. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Seeing as recent animal minifigures from the CMFs and Monster Fighters have been pretty much awesome, I'm going to bet on the Chima ones being stupendous and magnificent! Quote
TheRedGuy Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Something tells me the croc men's head are going to look like Killer Croc's head. Quote

Me too. I could realy use some more animals for making a Zoo or something. . . of course, I might not want too many crocodiles. . . (yeah, I know they do have them in some Zoos) Quote
purpleparadox Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Something tells me the croc men's head are going to look like Killer Croc's head. I hope so! I never got Killer Croc during the original Batman line and I'd love a chance to easily make one. Quote
DraikNova Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I'm guessing the Croc's head looks like a longer version of the CMF Godzilla helmet. Quote
natelite Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Something tells me the croc men's head are going to look like Killer Croc's head. nope. it will look more like the lizard man/godzilla from the CMF series, i.e. molded croc-shape headgear over regular mf head. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Something tells me the croc men's head are going to look like Killer Croc's head. I think all of the heads'll be new molds, so no need to fear! (frankly though, I loved Killer Croc's head, though I never got it, and would have preferred mini figure heads to brand new molds. ) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
