Ninjinxy Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 summer 2013 I would have liked a Crunket minifigure Me too! I am hoping they make one soon! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Huh. Ok, I'll admit, despite not loving this theme, I gotta get my hands on Furry. That fox minifig is just too good! So much potential application--and he's got a tail! I bet we'll be seeing some serious Spice and Wolf Mocs (or atleast customs) soon! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Has anyone else noticed that Skinnet has short printed legs in the TV show yet his minifigure has long legs instead? It's a shame that LEGO are apparently unable to add printing to short minifigure legs. Even so, all of those minifigures look great. As for the sets, Eglor's Twin Bike looks a lot better than I anticipated, the CHI Temple looks interesting and I have already discussed my opinion of Gorzan's Gorilla Striker. I'm still waiting for a good view of Worriz's Combat Lair though. Quote
KazeMonsuta Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Did somebody ask for a better pic of Worriz' Combat Lair? http://www.spieletes...053Lego2013.JPG Looks like the comand-centre-part is deteachable, just like with Cragger's Command Ship. Also found a front look of Eglor's Twin Bike, that does not look like a Twin Bike. http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/052Lego2013.JPG Edited February 3, 2013 by KazeMonsuta Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) The angle of the shot isn't great but from what I can see it doesn't look bad. May not buy it but I will pick it up if I have money to blow. Also notice Eris has the armor that covers the figure's chest. Has anyone else noticed that Skinnet has short printed legs in the TV show yet his minifigure has long legs instead? It's a shame that LEGO are apparently unable to add printing to short minifigure legs. I know right! He looks so cute and cuddly in the show, here he still looks not-as-cute and not very cuddly. Still a great figure that I will buy when he comes out. Edited February 3, 2013 by Wall E2624 Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Wow! Worriz's Combat Lair looks brilliant and is certainly a definite purchase for me. Eglor's Twin Bike is a nice vehicle, but it's unfortunate that it doesn't come with any new minifigures . Quote
Shakar Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Is Wilhurt (black wolf) wielding a new tr. red weapon against that white gorilla? The fox and the Skinnet are so cute! The foxes might become my favourite mammal tribe (the birds are still my favourite tribes). I noticed a white wolf and a white gorilla, I really like how they're varying the characters colours, even between members of the same tribe. I wonder if they could make an albino raven? They do exist, you know. Or something like this, that would look wicked! Edited February 3, 2013 by Shakar Quote
Krulis Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Better look at Skinnet, Furty, Windra and gorillas: http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/057Lego2013.JPG http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/058Lego2013.JPG They all look great. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Furty, Skinnet and all the other new minifigures are all looking very interesting. Also, has anyone else noticed that Skinnet's and Furty's helmets are the same mould but painted differently? I also imagine that their tails will be the same mould as well. Quote
Shakar Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) I wonder what alignment the new tribes are going to take? So far we have 3 good tribes and 3 evil ones.. I can definitely see the Foxes as heroic tricksters, but Furty's eyes look kinda malicious.. On the other hand, Skinnet has such a dopey look I could hardly take him seriously as a bad guy. The Bears and the Rhinos could go either way. Edited February 3, 2013 by Shakar Quote

DraikNova Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Wow. The Combat Lair looks really badmegablocksdog. Those two little wheels at the front, almost touching the ground remind me of paws. I'm probably going to pass on the Pack Tracker to leave some money for this. Skinnet looks rather ridiculous, but Furty looks rather mean with that toothed grin. I'm guessing the skunks are good guys, the foxes bad guys. The grey gorilla looks really nice. I'm guessing he's a tribe "elder". Why some of the gorillas have short legs? Well, it might be more realistic, but I'm guessing those are young ones. And Windra the white wolf looks really cool. She has a "I can beat you with one paw" look. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 It seems the Combat Lair has roughly the same head as the Pack Tracker. I'd like to see a bit more variation between the two in that. Otherwise, it looks great. I'm hoping the Twin Bike can split. The top part just seems like some sort of jet. As for the Furty and Skinnet, they don't look half bad. And it's also cool that they have tails. Maybe tails will be introduced to the Crocs in later waves. Also interesting that they use the same helmet. They did a good job designing a generic looking helmet that can go well with two different tribes. Kalhiki Quote
wghost Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Maybe skunks and foxes are in the same tribe? The helmet designs were exclusive to each one so far. Edited February 3, 2013 by wghost Quote
squidman85 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) I agree with wghost, they seem to be in the same tribe. And seem to be that the wolf-girl is the leader of the wolfes. That's sad i wanted a wise old wolf for the leader.Like Wakz. Edited February 3, 2013 by Bujimuji Quote

CM4Sci Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I hope I'm not the only one who looked around and found this: http://www.spieletest.at/pics/bericht/1174/051Lego2013.JPG -Sci Quote
Lyichir Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 So, having started to reverse-engineer the Lion Chi Temple on LDD, I think I'm in love. It's packed with detail and functions. Obviously there's the very neat bikes which launch from behind the waterfalls, and the hidden passages on each of the wings. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the retracting bridge and closing jaws of the temple are actually a single, linked function; that is to say, when the mouth closes the bridge retracts! I'm reminded of the amazing opening jaw/gate of the Portal of Atlantis. Besides the functions, the temple just plain looks amazing; the color scheme is surprisingly effective (primarily using Flame Yellowish Orange, Dark Stone Gray, and Medium Nougat), and the architecture calls to mind the amazingly unique structural details of the 2005 Battle of Metru Nui set. Not to mention the waterfalls and channels making up what is probably the coolest water feature in any Lego set, ever! This is definitely going on my Christmas list, if I can hold off on getting it until then! Quote
Jargo Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 The wolf lair seems to have two small detachable vehicles on the front. I can't see why it would have three small wheels on the front extensions otherwise. Windra having a mini-copter is pretty cool. I like that it's not just the birds who can take to the air. Not digging Skinnet and Furty but the Gorillas are cool. I'm guessing Gornay is the black Gorilla we saw in the first two tv episodes as the Gorzan minifig has different head markings. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I'm guessing Gornay is the black Gorilla we saw in the first two tv episodes as the Gorzan minifig has different head markings. Who is Gornay? Gorzan is the black gorilla. The set is called Gorzan's Gorilla Striker. Plus, the name Gorzan is said multiple times in the show referring to the black gorilla. -Sci Quote
Jargo Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I dunno, ask Meiko. I got the name from his Chima pages. I was just noting that the tv show black Gorilla and the minifig are different. And no need to be aggressive. Quote

And no need to be aggressive. I can't find any Gornay on The Chima Wiki. The only black gorilla I've seen in the show was Gorzan. Also, Joe Meno shared this on Facebook: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8090/8439322499_65af393dcf_o.jpg Quote
Jargo Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Well the name was there the other day because I copied all the tribes listed in the table on that page into a Word doc. Quote
squidman85 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 The quasi-leader is Worriz, see the description on the website. I meant that she is on the same level as Crominus,Ewald, etc. You know, kings, queens, chiefs, etc. Quote
