CM4Sci Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) Picked up Eagle's Castle today! While filming the review, I noticed something: Worriz and Winzar share the same legs and Speedor. I feel ripped off. -Sci Edited July 7, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
PenPlays Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) Yeah. I mentioned that in my mini-review of the set many, many pages back (the same goes for Lennox's Speedor as well). It is a real shame, but hey, Worriz and Ewald alone are worth it. Edited July 4, 2013 by Penkid11 Quote
KazeMonsuta Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I got lucky and got 4 Speedorz for 32€ here in Germany. So 8€ each. They are really throwing these off the shelves. Now I only have to wait for the sets to drop a little more. Quote

Spider-Man Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Everything is better in the world when you have a Toys"R"Us giftcard. Haha that definitely eases the pains! Have they been out at TRU for a while, or is it just recently? Quote
just2good Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Haha that definitely eases the pains! Have they been out at TRU for a while, or is it just recently? The Chima sets? Two were online a couple weeks back. Yesterday was the first sighting report, though! Well, just checked- no new sets at my main Toys"R"Us. Edited July 13, 2013 by just2good Quote
PenPlays Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Everything is better in the world when you have a Toys"R"Us giftcard. And may that be the only article of currency you spend there. In light of the news on the release date, I wish we could have known sooner (I can never trust the Toy Fair dates on the little notecards). Here's hoping that some of the (non-TRU) local stores get some Speedorz in early! Quote
Csacsa234 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) I can't wait for them to be released here, I want to buy Worriz's combat lair first, that set is insanely cool and you can almost complete the wolf tribe in one set. Although I want to get Cragger's ship too, then i don't think I can afford any more of this wave but it would be great to get Gorzan's mech as well Edited July 13, 2013 by Csacsa234 Quote
OriginalJK555 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 So I just got the Command Ship set and on the underside of the boat there is a clip of some kind. I haven't seen it mentioned in any review I've watched. Does anyone know what it is for? Quote

The mold used for the boat hull was also used in a couple other sets previously (particularly City themed Police and Fire boats) that not only boasted the ability to float, but also included a motor that could clip onto the underside. Ah thanks for that. I just recently sarted getting back into Lego with the Chima sets. The boat was the last of the 1st wave of sets that I got. I'm really enjoying this line and can't wait for the summer sets to hit my local Lego store. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 According to FBTB there will be a panel for Chima on Sunday. It will discuss the development of the sets and the show and how the designers bring the characters to life. Link: http://www.fbtb.net/2013/07/17/sdcc-lego-events-at-comic-con/#more-22343 Quote

Link: http://www.fbtb.net/...con/#more-22343 Too bad the writers won't be there to talk about their extreme miscalcualtions on the age demographic for the show. (The show can be good at times, but come on! Is the target audience three year olds?) Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Hopefully they give us a hint/sneak peak at what's to come. Bears and Rhinos! -Sci Quote
just2good Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 (edited) for letting me know about this one! There's a Chima event at Toys"R"Us on July 27th at noon. It's one of those building events, but it doesn't specifically say you can take the set home which is weird. The build is really nothing special, but it is free LEGO (and a Speedorz set if you're like me). Edited July 19, 2013 by just2good Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Wow, that looks interesting. I might try to go. Thanks for sharing. -Sci Quote
just2good Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Wow, that looks interesting. I might try to go. Thanks for sharing. -Sci Just noticed it says it connects to the Eagle Castle, but those colors really don't match with it. Oh well, still free LEGO. Quote

just2good Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 All four of the Summer Speedorz are listed on TRU.com, but they're getting released August 1st. Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 The Gorrilla Striker and Combat Lair are at KMart. I got Hero Factory's Stormer kit when I saw it. Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 According to J2G's reviews, Rawzom and Eris's Speedorz are the same as Razar and Equila's... I noticed in 'The Joy Ride', the wolves use the same Speedor, so that might relate to this problem. -Sci Quote
