I haven't been to good about frequenting on this thread, so I have to ask, have the prices for these sets been revealed yet?

I think we did get a list of prices but they haven't been confimred:

$10 for teh raven glider

$15 for the speedorz (hopefully thta's correct and it doesn't end up $20!

$20 for the Small croc and Lion Buggy

$33 for the Wolf, and smaller Eagle contraptions.

$40 for the larger eagle and lion

$80 for the Croc-Boat.

Some of those do sound feasable, but just $40 for Equila's Ultra Striker?

This sounds like speculation to me. A lot of that doesn't add up. First of all, LEGO has never priced anything at $33 in it's history. It'll either be $29.99 or $34.99. Second of all, the Croc "buggy" looks quite a bit below the $19.99 price range to me.

I agree with your first point, (although there would have to be a first right? ), but I don't think the Croc thing is worth so little. It is probably the lamest set of the line, but I can still see it at $20. . .

Also, I don't agree about the Speedorz price. These are going to be the replacements for the Ninjago spinners, so they better (for their profit) market them at a lower price, 12,99 dollars/Euro at most. Otherwise, the list seems pretty reasonable (aside from those things Algernon pointed out). Did you convert the prices found in that online shop?

I'm disappointed there are so few Raven vehicles. I'm hoping for them to get a bigger set in the summer wave..

To me, the Lion Quad is the lamest set in the line, but to each his own! For the Croc thing, I'm hoping for $14.99, although you may be right since it does include two minifugres. Time will tell.

That's what I was thinking about, actually. The Ravens give me the feeling of sky pirates, using a flying airship as their HQ would really help on that. It'd be like a flying castle-airship fusion of sorts, with some towers, a prison, and other details.

Thus far, every vehicle seems to be based around some kind of animal. I think a Raven helicopter would be pretty cool and consistent with the overall theme.

And I agree, the Ravens are great. I hope for more than just these small vehicles for them.

I think the prices for most of the sets were included with the names and numbers earlier (but in Euro). I didn't do any converting.

As far as the Speedorz, I don't think $15 is that bad compared to Ninjago spinners, they have a lot more pieces.

I think the wolfs and the ravens will become my favorite factions. Next would be the eagles. I'm not so sure about the Crocs and the Lions. I don't know - these lions simply scream Thundercats to me.

After all this time, I'm still not sure about this theme. I must admit, they do look better looking at the CGI out of box pictures, but... I'm not sure.

I'll definitely pick up the Raven Glider just because it's cool. And probably the Ultra Striker or whatever because I like tanks.

Then I'll see how cool they are and want more...

I don't get it either. Since when do crocs have big red eyes?

Hi, I'm a crocodile!

Crocodiles' eyes always reflect red at night, and that's probably what inspired the designers. Also, possibly, the fact that this theme is completely fantastic. Eagles don't actually have blue feathers, either, and lions don't drive tanks. It's lionesses that drive the tanks.

Okay, the eyes are red, but they aren't so huge. Actually, if the boat's eyes were round instead of oval, I think that would improve it vastly.

I think the reason the eyes are oval rather than round was specifically so they would be less huge. The eyes are using what is currently the smallest LEGO "bubble cockpit" to include a hinge-- the round options include 6x6 and 8x8 variants. Now, TLG could perhaps have used their 4x4 dome element, featured prominently in Power Miners and Atlantis, but I know from experience that that piece's limited connection points (basically attaches the same way as an Insectoid insect eye dome) make it tremendously difficult to use as a cockpit for minifigures. Even more so with the prolonged snouts of Chima's croc-people.

What I think would have improved it vastly is if somehow it would have been possible to have compact eyelids covering part of the cockpit bubble elements. But alas, printing does not exist on that piece, and its rounded surface makes stickers pretty much impossible. Building an arch over the cockpit is out-of-the question unless you want the eye sockets to appear larger and blockier.

In general, it'd have been nice if a better solution had been arrived at for that croc-boat's eyes, but I don't see many options that would have been especially feasible.

I wouldn't call each species a faction - Even though each has their own obvious aesthetic, the eagles and lions are united under one symbol, as are the crocs with the ravens and wolves.

Wolves are definitely my favorite (clawed face guy especially).

I would like to see a third bunch with a couple of species involved.

Well, after all, ninjago had the skull bike and the fire bike, each with a antagonist and protagonist, and both were about as meaty as that thing. I still think that the "tank treads as belt drive" thing looks pretty dopey, but the olive green tempts...

There are things I really like about this line, then some I absolutely hate. Overall I love all the minifigures. The birds, the wolves, the crocs, everything... except the lions which I can't stand. The Dragonball Z hair and the huge white eyeballs just make them look too cartoony and like anime characters. All the rest of the minifigures look great and like fierce animals so why did Lego decide to make the lion race look so silly in comparison?

As for the vehicles, I have mixed feelings with them and pretty much like half of them and don't the other half. I love all the eagle/raven vehicles (as it seems everyone does), and I really like the croc boat but I'm not a fan of the rest. The two lion vehicles and the wolf one all look too similair imo and I wish they would of done another boat or something more tank like (like they did with the eagle vehicle) and less 4 wheelers. I just don't like the overall design period and then they did three in a similar style.. blah.

As for the Speedzorz, I really like them. I think they will be a big hit with kids and I like how each seems to be a different game. You get targeting practice with some and others where you have to jump through hoops or steer into something, etc. Overall I will have to wait and see how the line looks when we get more shots. As of right now I am really torn on buying these sets or not.

I honestly think the grey wolves are too flat-faced, but on the black one that doesn't show too much. On the other hand, it could be that I've misjudged the length of the snout.

I agree, the lions are really looking pretty silly, but closer and clearer shots of the minifigs themselves could make that change a bit. Especially if LEGO did a good job on the heads underneath the masks.
