DraikNova Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What's so bad about stickers? Sure, they're difficult to put on sometimes, but, unlike with printed pieces, you can choose whether or not you want the pieces "customised". Quote

just2good Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 I think it's been confirmed the Command Ship (Croc Boat) was $80? Kinda, as that's the price at Barnes & Nobles... Quote

Aanchir Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) Not only are they annoying to put on, they also start to lose their stickiness after a while. I always hear that claim, but I haven't had that problem with stickers in sets for years. Except, of course, stickers that are placed on a place where stickers simply should not go, like stickers that are placed across several pieces or expected to curve around 2x2 round elements (for example, the Plankton figurine in 3826 Build-A-Bob). This isn't to say the problem doesn't exist, but it certainly hasn't affected me to the same extent it seems to have affected other people. My stickers on my Power Miners, Atlantis, Agents, Aqua Raiders, and even Exo-Force sets tend to have held up just fine over the years. Could be a climate thing, with it only really posing a major problem in certain humidities or whatnot. Edited December 16, 2012 by Aanchir Quote

Could that give us a clue to the Lion CHI Temple set? What do you guys think? We saw a looooooong time ago. It's a teaser of constraction figures. Also links to the box images were posted on a previous page. Edited December 16, 2012 by Krulis Quote

Could that give us a clue to the Lion CHI Temple set? What do you guys think? No, the sword has nothing to do with the Chi state. It's when you place a Chi orb on your chest, you can activate a more powerful, energy-based state. Quote
Hammerstein NWC Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I love those wings! Got my first pair of an ebay auction for the black kestrel figure! brilliant! Quote
DraikNova Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 That's a Raven Hammerstein. And why does no one ever seem to remember what happened five pages back? Quote
Jackattack7 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Wow, Lego advertise the crocs and the lions the most like they will be the most popular and most loved. Actually I love the Eagles and Ravens the most, especially the Raven minifigs and the Eagle's vehicles. Quote
Kez Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 This could be slightly off topic but if there was a new lego superheroes set that had killer croc in does anybody reckon he'd have the crocodile headpiece from this set http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/70001_alt1?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000&fit=constrain,1&fmt=png-alpha Quote
DraikNova Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Probably not. LEGO'd want to make a new headpiece for a licensed theme. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Probably not. LEGO'd want to make a new headpiece for a licensed theme. Not really, remember they like to reuse molds. Thats pretty Killer Croc looking to me, also looks The Lizard.:) Quote
DraikNova Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What's the last time LEGO reused a mold from one of their own themes for a licensed minifigure? Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What's the last time LEGO reused a mold from one of their own themes for a licensed minifigure? This is probably really stupid, but the old Ninjago head wrap for the Dark Ninja's mask in TMNT. Pointless, but -Sci Quote
Aanchir Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 This is probably really stupid, but the old Ninjago head wrap for the Dark Ninja's mask in TMNT. Pointless, but -Sci A better example would be the Skulkin armor element from Ninjago, which was reused in tan on some of The Hobbit's goblin minifigures. With that said, I think the the design of the new crocodile head element seems pretty deliberately geared towards the Chima aesthetic, and as such I think expecting to see it for other licensed half-crocodile characters might not be totally realistic. That doesn't mean I'm going to discount the possibility entirely, though. Quote
Kez Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 What's the last time LEGO reused a mold from one of their own themes for a licensed minifigure? Well there's a list that's so long it probably wouldn't fit in this comment box LOL The jesters hat is the same mold as Harley quinns hat Wizards hat is the same as gandalfs and dumbledores Atlantis divers helmet used as mr freezes 2013 helmet Cmf hair pieces for figures such as aquaman I could go on but I'd rather not Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 The sets are up on TRU http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=chima&origkw=Chima&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1 -Sci Quote

Peppermint_M Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Tolkinesque it sounds to me, the grandfather of all fantasty naming conventions. The only one I find strage is Eris, as Eris was the goddess of Strife and Discord... Quote
