PenPlays Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Thanks guys. I might have to pull out the backdrop and do some more. Maybe some Ninjago as well. Quote
Pumpkin Pie Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I bought the ring of fire yesterday at the LEGO store and I must say it is awesome! I can't stop playing with the speedorz. I highly recommend this set. and best of all, the ramp doesn't move because of the rubber supports. Quote
just2good Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Picked up that new Leonidas' Jungle Dragster polybag at my local Toys"R"Us in Coral Springs, Florida, and to sum it up: it's worth buying just for the pieces if you're willing to fork over $5. The dragster build is pretty bad, though. And like always, I've made a video review of it: Quote
BrickG Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I really really hate the look of those main dog guys? I don't know what he is. The lion? Idunno whatever that orange haired d00d is. I like all the other animations but those head molds just look funky to me. Quote
Savage Oppress Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 My dad just noticed that Crawley's gun is bigger than him in the Laval's Royal Fighter set. Quote

The Lions aren't my favorite either, but they do have some pretty sweet vehicles. Let me come out in saying, Yes, I will be doing my best to collect this entire theme. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Anyone find it odd that the Crocs have tails in the show, but not in the sets? Even when they have a similar mold, thanks to the Lizard Guy from CMF? I just want them for a future Killer Croc and The Lizard minifigures, also the Gorilla for Gorilla Grodd and the rhino for Rhino, depends on the Ultimate Spider-Man figure. Quote
ETAV8R Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Ran across the majority of whats out so far at a local Target. I didn't buy any but I am more impressed the more I see the different sets and figures. Having the new catalog doesn't help either. There is so much variety. The only thing I don't like is Lego making so many sets/themes I want, there is no way to really collect them all. Pricey to say the least. Quote

Im pretty sure that the Crocs dont have the tails in minifig form just due to the ease of fitting them into the vehicles. I do believe that we may see somewith tails in a future wave. Kinda like the snake tails in the Ninjago figs. Quote
Algernon Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I bought the Eagle Jet and smaller Crow jet the other day, and built them recently. I love them! The Eagle jet especially is majestic and very fun to swoosh around. And the figs... amazing. I think I'm falling for this theme! Quote
BrickCommander Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) Im pretty sure that the Crocs dont have the tails in minifig form just due to the ease of fitting them into the vehicles. Unfortunately LEGO model designers' comfort and convenience aren't that high up on the list of priorities ... Edited January 7, 2013 by BrickCommander Quote

DraikNova Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Smashing Bricks has designer videos of the sets. Edited January 8, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Smashing Bricks has designer videos of the sets. You do know they're also on the LEGO Chima website as well though? Quote
TheRedGuy Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Just opened my 70002, and my Crug (The main reason I bought the set) has misprints on all the parts exepct the torso. I wouldn't be suprised if my request for replacements gets denied because I basically need a whole new damn figure, and that doesn't sound like a attempt to get a free figure, does it? DraikNova Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 You do know they're also on the LEGO Chima website as well though? Doh. @TheRedGuy: Seems figure misprints are common with Chima. Quote
Jackattack7 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 So I think Razar is the raven commander, seeing that there is an ultra build of him coming out along with the other tribe commanders. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Probably. I think that was confirmed actually. Quote
PenPlays Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Laval, Eris, Gorzan, Cragger, Razar and Worriz are all war commandos. Legravis, Ewald, Crominus and Rawzom are the only confirmed tribe leaders (Kings). Quote
DraikNova Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Oh yeah, it's Rawzom who's the leader of the Ravens. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 So, I go onto LEGO.com to get Building Instructions for one of the sets, and I see this: Chima, Chima, Chima, Chima! -Sci Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 ... I understand promoting the theme, but that's just ridiculous! Kinda funny actually. Kalhiki Quote
