PenPlays Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 OMG! He's looks so cuddly! NO MORE VISIBLE SPOILERS! It hurts worse when you have to wait for someone to upload the episodes on the internet. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 It hurts worse when you have to wait for someone to upload the episodes on the internet. You did see my post with about 15 minutes of the first episode in the TV show thread, correct? -Sci Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Upon seeing the first two episodes, ideas for sets: First off, I heard a mention of elephants. Possible future elephant tribe, please? Also, I really hope the Legend Lion will be in the Lion Temple set (we're getting that, right?). I imagine we'll get one of those Crocodile Tanks that Crominus was driving around. That looks pretty cool. And seeing the Gorilla Mechs in action just makes me want one even more. Kalhiki Quote
DraikNova Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Wow. Guess that confirms the skunk tribe. Quote
Plissken Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I don't know if it was mentioned before, but I think the crocodile bodies and legs are great bases for predator custom figures. Quote
Meiko Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I'm guessing there will be more Skunks, but say there was one species of the anthropomorphic animals that only had one member of the species. Would that still qualify it as the skunk tribe? Quote
Jargo Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Wonder if we'll see Legend beasts in sets? It'd be one way to get some of the 'real' zoo animals people crave. Obviously not all the Legend beasts but definitely the Lion. Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Just noticed that the skunk in the picture above appears to have short legs. Hm. Kalhiki Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 That skunk looks neat. I wonder what their face would look like underneath the mask. I can't wait to see other tribes in the future. The tribes that exist in sets now are neat, but I'm always open for more. Quote
PenPlays Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Ah. I am relieved of the stress of seeing it. I saw a picture of Ewald from the show on Brickipedia, yet I don't remember him being in any of the episodes. Anyone have a clue? Quote

And he and Eglor appeared after Lagravis did that big roar and the eagles popped out of the windows/doors and looked. -Sci Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 So, I'm wondering if we're gonna get non-anthropomorphic miniscale animals for lions, wolves, rhinos and gorillas. because of the whole thing in that preview where one of the lions is riding a lion lion, together with the fact that they have a big old eagle mold to debut in LOTR sets (bears and crocodiles are already things but I can see a redone croc with more meat to it and the new smooth printed aesthetic over the classic molded indent eyes) Quote
Jackattack7 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 The parts of the show I saw is what CM4S uploaded. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) About that "lion lion", it's revealed in the show what they are. They're called Legend Beasts, and they are animals that never drank the Chi and stayed as they were. They left Chima long ago, and according to legend they'll return when Chima needs them most. PenPlays Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Not that I care much but you spoilers aren't working Draiknova. Thought I'd be courteous. Quote
PenPlays Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Due to today's random sale on Chima sets on the Toys R Us site (all @ RRP) I decided to walk in and get Target Practice price matched and grabbed one of the last Dragsters they had. YMMV Allow me to follow up on that. Target Practice is one of the better Speedorz I have. The Speedor itself is intricately printed. The function works the best if you position the Raven Dummies in an arrow shape pointed toward the cannon. With enough of a pull on the ripcord, the Speedor should be able to activate, and jump of the cannon ramp just fine, and all three are knocked down. The only disappointment is Equila. He is Ewar with a different "helmet." Other than that, I love it. Target Practice 9.5/10 No flaws if you have good aim. Minifigure design is a bit disappointing, but Equila is an eagle, making it worth it anyway. The cards are nice as well. The addition of the WAAAAY to simple Leonidas Jungle Dragster in the purchase was icing on the cake, especially since I now own ever Lion currently available. Also, Crug's Swamp Jet is available at Co-op in Sweden. Quote
Echo Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I got through six minutes of the first episode before turning it off. It's... not very good. Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I got through six minutes of the first episode before turning it off. It's... not very good. There's a topic for TV show discussion. Anyway, I'll be going shopping today. If I don't find the Chi Raider, I may pick up the Pack Tracker. The Chi Raider stands on the top of my wanted list. Kalhiki Quote
xxlrocka Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 The only disappointment is Equila. Don't you mean "Tequila"? I'd comment on the episode but I think it's obvious that I can't because, well, I haven't seen it. Quote

Kalhiki Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Yeah, went to Walmart. There was the tag on the shelf for the Raider, but none in sight. Did pick up the Pack Tracker, though. What a beauty it is. The chomping feature is simple, but effective, and the missle launcher is also a nice addition. In my opinion, it's the best projectile launcher Lego has made. Not to mention the minifigs which are equally as cool. Kalhiki Quote
